Chapter Two: A Very Long Story
Pegasus: When I was born…
Seto: What?! You said you would tell us the story about how you are supposedly our father and then you start talking about your life? Did you become even more psycho in the last thirty seconds? Or do you just have short-term memory? Or both?
Pegasus: No no, I'm terribly sorry I forgot that I wasn't talking to one of my servants. Every once in a while I treat them by telling them my life story.
Seto: Lucky them. Now can we get on with the story, I want to get out of here as soon as possible.
Pegasus: Yes, alright here is how I became your father. It all started when I was 17 years old. One day I was walking through the forest and I sa…
Mokuba: A forest? You lived in a forest? You really are weird.
Pegasus: My father was rich so we lived in a castle and outside we had a forest. Honestly, do you not have any common sense? Now can I get on with the story? Thank you. As I was saying, I saw a tent so I walked over to it. I didn't know who it was since we hadn't rented the property out to anyone.
The Past
Pegasus: Excuse me, but I don't think…
Woman: Please, sit down.
Pegasus: Your not supposed to be here this is private property, I'm going to inform my father.
Pegasus started to leave when he was stopped by the woman's words.
Woman: So you are saying that you don't want your fortune read?
Pegasus: You're a fortune teller?
Woman: Yes, my name is Eldera and I have come here to tell your fortune. I could sense strong waves coming from this direction so I came here and look here you are. So again, please sit.
Pegasus slowly starts to walk towards her then stops wondering if he should go but then decides against it and sits.
Pegasus: Okay so do you want me to ask a question?
Eldera: No just sit still and I will tell you all you need to know.
She puts her hands over her crystal ball and she looks deep in concentration. All of a sudden she puts her hands down and smiles.
Eldera: You are going to have two sons. One will be tall and strong arrogant but smart and brave. His brother will follow his older sibling everywhere, he will be strong and have a good heart. I cannot say the same for your other son he will start out with a good heart but an evil man will turn it to ice.
Pegasus: You are certainly creeping me out, I'm going to tell my father.
Pegasus runs out of the tent before she can say another word. He gets his father and brings him there.
Pegasus: It's right over here…
Pegasus's Father: Where? I don't see anything.
Pegasus: No, that's impossible I swear there was somebody here. They had a tent and they told me my fortune, they said I was going to have two sons. Her name was Eldera she has to be here I know she does. Eldera! Eldera!
Pegasus's Father: Stop, there is no one there no please let's go back inside.
Pegasus: But, I swear there was…. someone.
Pegasus's Father: Yes, yes of course there was son, now can we go back… please?
Pegasus: Alright. We can go back.
The Present
Pegasus: Well, after that my Mother and Father thought I was insane. So naturally, when I turned eighteen I left home and wanted to begin my new life living on my own. That didn't turn out so well.
The Past
Pegasus: Hello, I would like to rent a room here. How much is it per day?
Landlord: Depends, how much ya got?
The Present
Pegasus: I went everywhere looking for a place to live, but I didn't have that much money I-
Mokuba: What? You said that your father was rich.
Pegasus: My dear boy, do you think that when left I went up to my parents and said, Dear parents I know that you think I'm insane but worry no more! I am going to leave here and never come back. Oh, and could I have a couple of millions for the road?
Seto: *smirks* Sounds like something you'd say.
Pegasus: *laughing* Yes well being that I am your father and I see certain qualities of myself in you, then don't you think that would be something you would say as well?
Seto: First, I have no information that you are in fact my Father, second if and I mean if you are my father neither Mokuba or I share any qualities of yourself, and third I would never come asking you for money seeing as I have so much of it myself.
Pegasus: How rude! Still I will continue with my story. As I was saying, my search for somewhere to live had been unsuccessful until I found somewhere. Given it was not the nicest part of town, but it was somewhere to call home.
The Past
Pegasus: Home sweet home! Or, shall I say moldy rat infested apartment! Now since I am settled in I might as well start looking for a job.
Pegasus goes outside and starts looking for place with Help Wanted signs on them. Unfortunately there were not many.
Pegasus: Excuse me, but do you know if there are any jobs around here?
Man: Nothing legal.
Pegasus continues his search and while he is doing so he comes across a food market.
Pegasus: Well, I am hungry; I might as well get something to eat.
The Present
Pegasus: As I was starting to look for something good to eat I turned my head, and then… I saw her.
