So those are the rules. We each get two star chips. You can battle for them against others. Once you've gathered ten chips, you advance to the second round, the castle.
Joey had already won a duel, and was a bit too confident right now. The fields were amazing, almost as good as I had seen at Kaiba corp. Yugi and maybe Joey would find their way to the castle, so I had to get away from them as soon as possible. No one could know about my strategy, even if they were friendly. Anyone could turn dark, Kaiba is living proof of that.
I didn't stop until I almost bumped into Honda. Everyone seemed to be looking at something, no wait... Someone! I felt hatred flowing through my body as I looked right into Seto Kaiba's eyes. Those dark eyes filled with anger and dominance. Before I knew it, I had him by the collar. Kaiba did nothing but looking at me, grinning.
'What's so funny?'
No one could hear me whisper, except for Kaiba. Honda didn't know about my former boyfriend, and I wanted to keep it that way.
'You're so cute when you're mad. It's a shame you're not wearing your outfit, my little maid.'
Besides wanting to punch him, I also couldn't help but blush a little. It was the way he said it, and even though I really hated him, I couldn't help but get turned on. I recovered quite fast.
'What are you even doing here? I thought you said this was below your dueling skills.'
'It is, and I'm just here for Mokuba. He wanted his big brother by his side, so I thought I might as well join in on the party. I knew you'd be here too gorgeous, so why not go for revenge.'
We were still whispering. I wanted to know what the rest was doing, but I wasn't going to turn my back on Kaiba. No way he could be trusted.
'Sorry, but I'm not here to play games with you. We've done that long enough. So why don't you get lost, and cheer for Mokuba. Weren't you a great big brother?'
Now Kaiba was the one who was getting pissed off. His next move didn't even take a second. He caught me by surprise and shoved me. As he grabbed my wrists I saw Honda standing next to me.
'What the hell do you think you're doing Kaiba!'
'Beat it, moron. Raven and I have some issues to work out.'
'That's bullshit! She doesn't even know you. Now let her go!'
Kaiba was getting annoyed and was about to jump Honda instead. As much as I couldn't stand my brother, I didn't want him to get beat up because of me.
'Honda, it's fine, we have met. He can't do anything to me, he won't, so don't worry.'
There it was, Kaiba's evil grin. It looked hot and scary at the same time. But I knew he wouldn't hurt me. If he was telling the truth, and he wanted revenge, he would try to get me back to his mansion and lock me up again.
'You're smart, my beautiful. But you don't know what I will do or when I will do it. So be a good maid and keep your eyes open. You'd better do as I tell you.'
That was it. Kaiba just stood up and walked away. He crossed the line this time way further than he normally did. He must have really taken that defeat hard..
'What the fuck was that all about?'
Just when I thought I had it all over with, Honda felt the need to investigate.
'Nothing. Let's go on to the shore to find some food, it's getting darker.'
'The rest can go on ahead, I want to talk to you in private.'
As a guarding angel, Yugi talked Honda into letting it go and going to shore. We ate some fish and soon everyone was asleep. Yugi was the one to stay guard, and I was with him.
'You can start.'
I looked at him, questioning.
'What are you talking about?'
'Your past with Kaiba. Honda shouldn't know until I know about your relation with your brother. But that doesn't mean I'm not qualified. So, spill the beans.'
'No.'
'Come on. What was all that 'my beautiful' shit about? Are you two former lovers or something?'
I wanted to get up again, so I could ran away again. Yugi had it right and I didn't want anyone to find out about this. About the fact that for almost a year, Kaiba had locked me up in his mansion.
An arm stopped me from getting up. Fierce eyes found their way to my soul. I had to tell Yugi, I had to tell someone, but I couldn't.
'I.. I don't think I can talk about it. It has been rough.'
'Just trust me and tell me. If Kaiba did something bad to you we need to get back at him. Let me just help you damn it.'
'Fine, solve this. We had a relationship for a year when he planted some weird chip in my body that made me completely under his spell. I broke free from it somehow, and challenged him to a game of duel monsters for my freedom. He lost and wanted a rematch, with his Millennium Ring as bet. The rest you know. Happy now?'
Yugi was quiet for a second, but it didn't last long.
'That's why you were a maid.'
'Yes, during the daytime I was a maid, and du... Yeah. a maid.'
Fuck, I'm such an idiot. Why would I tell him about the other side of the 'job'. Yugi would only get worried and he wouldn't respect me anymore.

This time, Yugi's friendly voice had disappeared. I had to blink twice to see if I wasn't dreaming. There he was, Yami Yugi. The Millennium Puzzle had done the trick, there was his battle face.
