Searching For Home

Aten looked at the brochure as he ate his breakfast the next morning. He looked at the pictures of the swimming pools and the craft huts. His eyes widened at the painting studio on the premises. The Egyptian boy chewed his oatmeal slowly as he struggled to read the English words.

Marik grabbed the brochure and read it in Arabic for Aten to understand. Aria scratched her ear trying to understand the language, but she could not comprehend much of the vocabulary.

Aten had the bad habit of switching from Arabic to English in the same sentence, much to his language teachers' confusion. For them, how the eight year old child could grasp the concept of Arabic and not comprehend that 3+2=5 was shocking to them.

Aten took the brochure again and rubbed his purple eye free of sleep. "This plaze loots really nize! They have paining…simming…and they have a plaze where I tan mate stuff for Unkie Seto! O! Daddy, tan I go, please? I tan mate things all day for Unkie Seto and Unkie Puppy and Unkie Mo-uba and you and mommy and Malik and Daddy Bakura and Unkie Tissan and Unkie Togi and Aria and Robbie!" Aten's face went pale. "Tan Robbie go?"

Ryou sat at the table with his morning tea. "Robbie can't go, sweetheart. This is for special kids."

"Robbie pessil. Why tant he go?"

"It's a camp for children who are special kids who are sick."

Aten's face looked like it was trying to compute what his mother had said and struggling to understand. "Is it because my heart is bad that I'm going to this place?"

"Yes, son. It's a place where you can have a good time and meet other kids your age."

Aten looked at the brochure cover again. "T…Tamp…S….Sh..Shitting…Bear. Tamp Shitting Bear! That is so neat!

Aria pouted. "Why can't I go?"

Bakura looked over at Aria. "This is a camp for kids who are sick like Aten, Aria. Tell you what. Maybe we can call Sea-Man and ask if he'll take you out to the ocean with him."

"Yami Bakura!"

"I said 'Sea-Man!' Not Sea-Men!"

Ryou shook his head. "You really are impossible sometimes, you know?" Ryou smiled, knowing what would convince her more than anything else. "Umi will be there. Umi can show you how well he sails."

Aria's face lit up. "Really? You'll let me go sailing with Umi?"

Ryou and Bakura nodded. "Absolutely, sweetheart."

"Tan I talt to Robbie before I go?"

"You have a few days before you go, honey. You have plenty of time."

Aten looked over the brochure. "This is going to be fun!"

The phone rang and Ryou went to into the living room to answer it. Malik was already limping towards the phone. "Ow….Ishtar-Itemri Residence."

[Hey, Malik!]

"Otogi? What do you want?"

[There's no one answering at Yugi's Game Shop. What's the deal?]

"Yami died a couple of days ago, Otogi."

A muffled gasp came over the line. [Really? Poor Yugi. I'll have to make him a carrot cake to make him feel better. I hope I have enough carrots.] A feminine shriek came from the end of the line. [Oh, great! I'll be able to make carrot cake for Yugi! YEAH!]

"What do you want?"

[Oopsie. Sorry. I wanted to know if we could take Aria and Aten with us today. We're going apartment hunting.]

"Apartment hunting?"

[Yeah. We can't take the people around us anymore. Besides….the unspeakable has happened.]

"What?"

[Anzu moved into out apartment building! Her parents kicked her out and between the people leaving threatening notes on our doors because Tristan and I are living together and Anzu having seminars on 'How to Be Friendly with Things 101' we've had enough of living here.]

"Oh…" Malik turned to Ryou. "Talk to him. I need some aspirin."

Malik gave the phone to Ryou and limped into the kitchen.

"Hello, Otogi."

[Ryou, can we take the kids apartment hunting this afternoon? Seto and this kid he says is his son is coming with us.]

"That would be Jaimen. Sure. The kids are eating now. Come over when you're ready."

[Thanks, Ryou! I'll make a carrot cake for Yugi when we get back.]

"Yugi's very upset."

[Nothing makes the blues go away better than carrot cake! Yup! It's true! I made butterscotch pudding for Tristan and it made him feel better.]

"Was that before or after he licked it off of you?"

[After.]

Ryou felt a shudder go down his spine. "Too much information, Otogi. Come over when you're ready."

Ryou hung up the phone and saw Malik at the countertop, holding onto it weakly. "Malik? Are you okay?"

Marik entered the kitchen yawning and scratching his side. "Morning, love," Marik said, giving his hikari a gentle kiss on the shoulder.

Malik closed his eyes tightly. Ryou recognized that look. It wasn't good.

"Malik, are you okay?"

Malik nodded and limped to the table. "Yeah. I'm fine."

Aten watched Malik limp to the table. He recognized that limp….felt it himself for weeks after the last incident with his grandfather. It wasn't a good sign.

"Malik, you're walting funny."

"No, Aten. I'm okay."

Ryou refilled his tea cup. "Children, Tristan and Otogi are coming over to take you shopping for a new apartment. Finish your breakfast." Aria gulped the milk from her Count Chocula (I don't own it.) and ran the bowl to the sink.

"Yeah! Unkie Togi is going to take us shopping!" Aria squealed as she ran up the stairs quickly.

Aten took one bite of his oatmeal and crawled off the chair. He kept his eye on Malik, shifting uncomfortably in his chair.

Marik opened up his medicine bottles and gave Aten his heart medication and his vitamins with a glass of water. "Take your pills, Aten."

Aten took the glass and the pills, swallowing all four in one gulp.

"Get dressed, little monkey," Marik said kissing his son on the cheek.

Aten went to Malik and put his hand on Malik's hand. Aten slid his hand up and saw bruises on Malik's wrists. The hikari quickly pulled down his sleeve, concealing the bruise.

"Malik…..I….Where?"

Malik turned his head away from Aten. "Go get dressed, Chibi…Chibi Marik."

Aten stepped away from Malik slowly and ran from the kitchen. He ran upstairs and saw his sister putting her sleeping gown into the laundry basket by her room.

"I thint Malik is hurt, Aria," Aten said as Aria turned around.

"Hurt? How so?"

Aten held out his arm. "Rememmer when I tame bat from the Sadow Realm? I had these blat and blue marts on my wrists? Malik has them, too."

Aria scratched her belly. "Maybe he just hurt himself doing something. I don't think my daddy would hurt Malik. Our mommy wouldn't hurt Malik. Your daddy wouldn't hurt Malik."

Aten stamped his foot angrily. "Somebody did! Malik is limping lite I did when I had those marts on my wrists! Somebody hurt Malik really bad!"

Aria held her hand up. "Don't yell at me, Aten Bakari Ishtar. Look.

We have to get dressed! Unkie Tristan and Togi are coming for us! Unkie Tristan won't want to see me nakkie!"

Aten removed his boxers and his socks. "But, Aria, what are we going to do about Malik?"

Aria scratched her bare hip and one of her batwings twitched with thought. "I don't know. But if I see my mommy hurt or my daddy, I will be very angry."

Aten stepped in her door and held it before she could shut it. "That's not right, Aria. Maybe we should ass Malik why he is hurt."

Marik climbed the steps and saw a naked Aten holding open the door to his naked sister's room.

"Hey, son, let the girl change," Marik said as he stepped in the doorway. Marik looked down at the naked chibi girl and covered his mouth in amazement.

"What's wrong, Daddy Marik?"

"Nothing, Aria. Get dressed."

Marik lead Aten to his room. "Son, you have to get dressed. Caffeine-Boy will be here soon."

"But, I was only talting to my sister."

Marik put Aten's underwear and jeans on the bed. "Aten, Aria's getting to be a big girl. You won't be able to stand at her door while she dresses."

"Why not? She's my sister."

"When she develops, son, you won't be able to stand with her as she dresses."

Aten put on his underwear. "She's my sister. I was born with her. Why does it matter?"

"Aten, Aria's growing up and you are growing up. You won't be able to stand naked in the hallway and chat."

Aten scratched his head. "But Aria and I are family."

"I know that, son, but you two are growing up. I don't watch mommy when he dresses."

"But, mommy is a boy. You're a boy, too."

Marik shook his head. This wasn't going to go anywhere. "Just dress, Aten."

Marik shut Aten's door behind him and went downstairs to Bakura and Ryou sitting at the kitchen table. "Ryou?"

Ryou sipped his tea. "Marik?"

"Your daughter. I think you need to go out and buy her….how should I put this…..feminine apparel?"

Bakura raised his eyebrow. "What?"

Ryou scratched his head. "What feminine apparel? What are you talking about?"

"A brassier."

Bakura's eyes narrowed. "What the fuck is that?"

"A bra, jackass! Ryou, I think Aria's going to need a bra soon. She's beginning to…develop breasts already."

Bakura covered his ears. "Don't say that in front of me, Ishtar!"

Ryou shifted his eyes uncomfortably. "I don't know anything about buying a bra!"

Marik grinned. "I guess I'll have to ask Miranda, then."

Marik disappeared and Malik gave a shudder from the sink, knowing what was going to happen when Marik returned.

*************************

Tristan and Otogi listened to Aten talk in the front seat. Seto and Mokuba looked out the window, trying not to laugh. Jaimen was sitting by his father, looking at the window with a smile on his face.

When Jaimen asked to accompany his father, he jumped and ran circles around his father. Seto couldn't deny him. Joey wanted to stay home.

"Tamp Shitting Bear is going to be really fun! I tant wait!" the child said excitedly.

Tristan was biting his lip and his face was beet red as he tried not to laugh at the steering wheel. His fingers gripped the steering wheel for dear life. "Are you going to make something special for us at Camp Shitting Bear, Aten?" Tristan managed to ask as the tears fell from his eyes.

Otogi elbowed him. "Tristan, you know he has a language disorder!"

Tristan wiped his tears away. "Can't…help…it."

The first apartment complex was close to KaibaCorp. Tristan and Otogi stepped out of the car and looked at the tall building. Otogi grabbed Tristan's hand as they walked into the lobby. Aten grabbed Otogi's hand and skipped beside him.

Seto held Aria and Jaimen's hand.

Otogi and Tristan approached the front desk. "Do you have any rooms available? One bedroom?"

The man looked up and saw the two men holding hands. "Yes. We do."

A moment of silence followed.

Tristan noticed what had caught the man's attention. "Are you going to show us a room or are you going to stare at us like a couple of circus freaks?"

The man grabbed a set of keys. "Follow me," he said blankly.

He lead the group to a model room. "You have to furnish your apartment yourselves."

Otogi looked at the color of the carpet. "That doesn't match our furniture."

"Do we have to provide rugs?"

"Yes, sir."

Otogi sighed in relief. "This color is just horrid! It will never go, Tristan. We'll have to get some new rugs."

Aria snickered. "Make sure you don't get any nacho cheese on them!"

Otogi went beet red. "What, Aria?"

"You and Unkie Tristan had nacho cheese the other night when Aten and I stayed over your place. Unkie Tristan, you should be more careful where you drop your nacho cheese."

The man's face changed color. Aten looked up at him. "Are you sit to your tummy? You loot green."

Seto narrowed his eyes at the man. "If you think, Mokuba Kaiba, that you are going to stay in this place, you are sadly mistaken!"

The man's eyes widened. "Kaiba?! OH, my apologies! I'm new to this town and I only have just heard of you! We can give you a presidential suite! Discounted rent, of course!"

Mokuba looked around the room and back at the man. "Do I have 'Sucker' printed on my forehead? How can I live here when you are obviously rude to my friends here?"

The man bowed. "I apologize, sir!"

Mokuba turned. "Let's go, Seto. I can tell my family is not going to be welcomed here."

"Wait! I can be reasonable!"

Tristan pulled Otogi by the hand. "We're leaving!"

The man followed them begging. Otogi turned around. "We're not going to be your residents with your attitude, pal!

They left and Tristan's body trembled with fury. Otogi sat quietly in the front seat.

"Forget him, Tristan. He's not worth being angry with."

Tristan growled. "You're right. Homophobic bastard."

Otogi opened up his piece of paper. "There's one place that's close to Ryou's house. It's much better than this place."

"Why didn't we go there first?"

"I tried to tell you to turn right and you were laughing at Aten."

Tristan sighed. "Sorry, Aten."

"Otay," the chibi said waving his legs back and forth.

Tristan pulled up to the front and stepped out. Aten took Otogi's hand and watched two men holding hands enter the apartment complex.

Aten cocked his head to the side. "Awww…that was toot!"

Aria hopped out of the car. "What?"

"Two guys were holding hands!"

Aria smiled. "Awww…that's cute!"

Otogi held Tristan and Aten's hand as they entered. They saw two women sitting on a couch, cuddling close to each other.

Jaimen's jaw dropped and pointed. "Daddy, those two women are holding hands!"

Seto leaned down. "Don't point, son."

Aria and Aten saw two men holding hands and they smiled. "Aww..that's so cute!"

One of the men came over to Aria. "Ain't she a little cutie!"

Aria smiled. "Hi! I'm Aria!"

The man looked up at Otogi. "Is she yours?"

Otogi shook his head. "No, she's a daughter of a friend of ours."

The man looked up. "Are you thinking of living here?"

Tristan nodded. "We're looking for a good place."

The man's partner came over to Aten. "Look at him, Craig! I've never seen a boy with such pretty eyes! And different colors!"

Aten ran behind Otogi's legs.

"Are you shy, little guy?"

Aten nodded at the strangers. "Yes."

"His name is Aten."

"Hello, Aten. Well, if you guys are thinking of living here, it's really great! This entire complex has couples of all alternative lifestyles. We have a pool, a gym, and once a week we have dances in the cafeteria."

Tristan took a brochure for the place and looked through it. "What about furnishing the apartment?"

Craig shrugged. "You furnish it yourself."

Tristan turned to Otogi. "If you put lace curtains up in the window, Otogi, it's grounds for divorce."

Otogi pouted. "Why not?"

Tristan shook his head. "Okay. In the bedroom…BUT ONLY IN THE BEDROOM!"

Otogi smiled, throwing himself at Tristan. "I love you!"

"Why me?" Tristan sighed.

Mokuba leaned against the counter. "I don't think this is a good place for Jeanie and I. We'll have to look somewhere else for our place."

Otogi picked up the brochure and turned to the man at the desk. "Can we see a model apartment?"

The man took them on a tour of the facilities. Aten, desperate for protection against the strangers, clung to Tristan. Tristan picked the chibi up with his strong arms and carried him.

Otogi gasped at the size of the kitchen. The kitchens were big enough for him. The countertops were slightly lower than their current ones, much to Tristan's delight.

The master bedroom had a large bed with a dresser and plenty of closet space. Aria ran around the large living room with her arms spread.

Seto watched her run around in circles. He blinked and saw Aria in her old slave clothes of ancient Egypt. The child was running around in the royal gardens. A large smile plastered on her face.

Seto shook his head and saw Aria back in her dress and ribbons.

Jaimen and Aten scurried to the spare bedroom and bounced on the bed. Mokuba caught them and carried both of the squealing boys under his arms.

Otogi and Tristan found the rates reasonable and had said that they were interested. They said they would give them an answer within a week.

They left the Crestwood Apartments convinced that this place would be a good place for them to live.

Otogi looked at the apartment guide and saw one more place closer to Yugi's Game Shop. It was a little cheaper than the Crestwood Apartments.

Jaimen watched the places and the neighborhood pass by. These places looked familiar…..

Aria's stomach gave a rumble. "I'm hungry, Unkie Tristan. Can we stop at Captain Smiley Buns for some Pepperoni Pirate Pizza?"

"And a toy?! They have little benny peetle that you bend into funny shapes!"

Aria squealed. "Yeah! You bend these dolls into all kinds of positions! My friend Gabby has one and we play with it all the time I go to her house! We play with our Barbie dolls and our bendy dolls. We can play all day and never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever get tired."

Tristan nodded. "Okay, Aria. Just one more place. Then we can go to Captain Smiley Buns."

The children cheered. "WE LOVE UNKIE TRISTAN!"

Tristan and Otogi pulled in front of Cresent Arms Apartments. Jaimen looked up and grabbed onto Seto's hand tightly. His head immediately lowered to the ground.

His shoulders slumped limply at his side. He walked slowly beside his father, unwilling to lift his head and see someone he would rather not see.

Mokuba looked down at the chibi. "Jaimen, are you tired?"

"No, sir," he whispered.

Tristan lead the group into the lobby and to the front desk. Aten saw Jaimen's fist clench into a tight ball. The boy's face had become pale.

"We wish to see a room, please. We're looking for an apartment," Otogi said.

The man lead them down a dim corridor. Jaimen heard a door open and a familiar voice.

The man lead Tristan, Otogi, and Aria and Aten into a model room as Jaimen lifted his head.

"Oh no," the child whimpered.

Seto looked down. "What is it?"

Jaimen looked up, pulling on Seto's hand, trying to pull him away.

"Oh, no…get away…..come on, daddy,….we have to go!"

An obese woman stepped out of her apartment and pulled her door shut with a slam. The woman looked down.

"Jaimen!"

Jaimen fell to his knees by Seto's side and lowered his head. "Aunt Gerty!"

Seto narrowed his eyes. "Do you know this woman, Jaimen?"

"I stayed with Aunt Gerty after my mommy was…..crushed…"

Seto growled low in his throat.

"So, how do you like your little bastard, Kaiba?"

Seto tightened his grip on Jaimen's hand. "Give me one reason why I should not report you for child neglect."

Gertrude laughed. "I don't know what you are talking about! I never touched that child!"

Jaimen let out a little whimper and a shudder.

"This kid arrived on my doorstep dirty, covered in lice, bruises all over his body, starved, and covered in infected sores! Don't tell me you have no idea what I am talking about!"

Jaimen shivered. "She chained me to the bed, daddy……"

Seto looked with scorn at the woman's proud face. "You're going to hear from my Public Relations Department."

The obese woman laughed, her whole body rippling with the effect. "Oh, really? Well, Kaiba, do your worst! Our family has looked after that little mistake his entire life! Frankly, both of you deserve each other! You're both bastards and losers! I don't care how much money you have in your accounts, Mr. Kaiba. You can't bully me!"

Aria peeked her head from the room and growled. Seto watched Aria step beside him, her hair spiky and her canines showing.

"Do you dare call Seto Kaiba a loser?" Aria's fingernails sharpened. "Do you know what you are, lady? Nothing. Just like the rest of your family….you're all…a…bunch….of…nothings. You enjoy hurting people's feelings? Who died and made you Ra?" Aria advanced on the obese woman, who was actually stepping away from her, fear plain on her face. "Not so tough now, are you? You're afraid of me? I'm only eight…..and am much…MUCH…smaller than you are! You want to bully someone?" Aria's hair twitched and her canines sharpened. Her eyes grew black and red. Her fingernails grew sharp. "Bully me!"

Seto smirked at Gertrude's fear. "Not so tough now, are you?"

The woman backed against the end of the hallway, cornered by the snarling child.

"Pity," the child growled. "It seems you're not as menacing as you thought you were. Such…a…pity!"

Aria walked towards Jaimen and wrapped her arms around the kneeling boy. "You don't have to fear her anymore, Jaimen. She'll think twice before hurting you again."

Aten peeked his head out into the hallway and saw Jaimen on his knees, clinging to his sister. Aten walked behind Jaimen and wrapped his arms around Jaimen. Jaimen looked up, trapped between the brother and sister. Jaimen sighed, snuggling into Aria, feeling this is the best entrapment he had ever had.

Tristan and Otogi came out of the apartment and saw the three chibis cuddling in the hallway. Otogi grabbed Tristan's hand.

"Don't squish the kids, Tris."

Tristan's face turned red and he bit his lip. "Do we squish them all at once or one at a time?"

Aten opened his eyes and whispered. "Oh no…..Unkie Tistan's going to skish us. It's otay if Unkie Togi skishes us. He's not as strong as Unkie Tistan."

Aria grinned as she looked up. "Unkie Seto wants to squish me, too. Oh no."

Tristan grunted. "MUST SQUISH CHIBIS!"

Aten squealed. "Run!"

Tristan reached out and grabbed Aten. He brought the skinny child into his arms and hugged him tightly. Tristan had even planted a kiss on the child's cheek.

"Don't skish me too badly! You'll trush my patematter!"

Otogi grabbed Jaimen and hugged him tightly. "Sorry, Kaiba, but I have to squish your kid!"

Seto grabbed Aria and hugged her tightly. Aria squealed and threw her arms around Seto's neck. "I love you so much, Unkie Seto!"

A vision flashed in Seto's mind as he held Aria back in ancient Egypt. /I love you, Seth!/ the child squealed happily.

Seto held onto her tightly. "Who's my little princess?"

Aria smiled. "I'm your princess, Seth."

Seto's eyes widened. "What did you call me?"

"I mean, I'm your princess, Unkie Seto."

Seto turned to Mokuba. "Did you like it here?"

Mokuba shrugged. "I dunno. Let's try one more place. I'm seriously thinking of getting a house instead. It's not like I can't afford it."

Seto turned and saw Gertrude gone. "My Public Relations Department will pay her a little visit later."

Otogi and Tristan looked at one more place by the waterfront.

"You can see the ocean from this place, Tristan! How romantic! Please! We've got to go in!"

Aria's stomach growled.

"One more place, Aria," Tristan said. "Then we'll get you an ice cream at Captain Smiley Buns."

Aria bounced happily in the seat. "I want chocolate!"

"I tan only have Fanilla. My heart tant tate toc-late anymore."

Jaimen looked over. "Why not?"

"I have a bad heart. I tant have toc-late anymore. Unkie Seto? Does this mean I tant have "coffee" with you anymore?"

Seto looked into the glassy eyes. Seto would give Aten chocolate milk and called it 'coffee.' Seto had taught the child to read the stock market section of the newspaper. Aten would have his 'coffee' and read the stocks for Seto. Seto was amazed when Ryou told him Aten had dyslexia. The kid could not count to ten, but could read the stock charts. "Aten, we can still read our morning paper when you come over. And you can have anything you want to drink and still call it 'coffee'."

"Really?"

"Absolutely, little monkey," Seto said, running his fingers through Aten's long white and blond hair.

Tristan and Otogi stopped at the apartments by the waterfront. Otogi held Tristan's hand as they walked into the place. Tristan and Otogi walked up to the front desk.

The man looked down at their hands.

"We're interested in renting---."

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't rent to your type here."

Seto narrowed his eyes, holding Jaimen's hand tightly. Otogi shifted his eyes uncomfortably.

"Excuse me?" Otogi asked, not noticing his lover's face growing red from fury.

Tristan growled and asked sarcastically. "What exactly is 'my type', sir?"

"We at the Crescent Arms do not rent to people like you and your….boyfriend."

Otogi grabbed Tristan's arm before he could hurt the man at the desk. "He's not worth it!"

Mokuba grabbed Seto before he could jump over the counter.

Mokuba pulled Seto out.

Seto grumbled. "My Public Relations Department is going to be so busy this weekend! And shit! Donny's still in the hospital! With Alex and Donny gone, the whole Department is shot to hell!"

Mokuba said, "Joel's on vacation with his wife and kids."

"WHAT?! SHIT!"

"He's going to the beach tomorrow with the family. You told him to take a vacation."

Seto shifted his eyes. "I did?! When?"

Otogi snickered. "You don't even know what's going on with your Public Relations Department?"

"Why the hell do you think I had Donny for? Donny is the head of my Public Relations Department! Joel's going on vacation this weekend! Damn….I'll have to pay him double to stay. I'll have to get someone else to drive me around. I hope Karl is available this weekend. I hope he and his boyfriend didn't have any plans. Damn it." Seto turned to Mokuba. "Don't tell me Karl and Jay aren't going on vacation."

Mokuba shook his head. "No. Karl was going with Jay to visit his mother. Jay's been working the night shift. He's working tonight I think."

"Good. Jay can shine his daggers for the weekend."

Otogi turned back to Tristan. "How come Mokuba knows so much about where your guys are?"

Mokuba crossed his arms proudly. "I'm learning how to run KaibaCorp, Otogi. I talk to the guys and am present at all staff meetings. It's best if we send Karl and Jay to the Crescent Arms. Normally, we wouldn't pair them up together, but I'm willing to make an exception in this case."

Seto nodded. "Agreed."

Tristan growled angrily as he drove to the restaurant. Otogi put his hand on Tristan's lap. "Don't listen to them, Tristan."

Tristan grinded his teeth. "I'm going to go to the gym when we get home. I'm changing my clothes and going to the gym. If I don't hit something soon, I'm going to explode."

Otogi removed his hand from Tristan's lap, knowing it would just make Tristan angrier if he was being touched.

Aria ordered the Pepperoni Pirate Pizza at the restaurant. Aten ordered a chicken salad. Seto gave the cashier some extra money and he put in a toy with Aten's salad.

Tristan turned to Otogi and wrapped his arms around Otogi's waist. "What do you want, baby?"

Two women waiting in line shot disgusted looks in their direction.

Aria narrowed her eyes at two women who glared at them with fury in their eyes. "What's the matter? Never seen two men holding hands before?"

Aten grinned. "Tate a pisher, it'll ass longer!"

Otogi and Tristan ordered.

Seto grabbed his tray of food. "I can see why you want to get out of the place you're living in. It's as about as welcoming as razor burn."
Otogi sighed. "We're trying. We just have to find a place that will welcome us for who we are."

Aten nodded. "It's lite me and Robbie. Robbie's aunt was really upset when she found me riding Robbie in his bedroom the other day."

Seto, Mokuba, Tristan and Otogi turned red.

"I was begging Robbie to go fasser."

Tristan snickered. "As long as you were on top, Aten, it's all good."

Otogi elbowed Tristan. "Hey!"

"I allays on top. I no lite Robbie riding me." Aten shifted his eyes. "I no lite anyone on top of me. It stares me."

Seto felt a shudder run up his spine. "I don't need to hear this."

Mokuba picked a booth for them. Aten kneeled on the cushion, seeing as he wouldn't be able to see his food.

Mokuba opened the toy for Aten and Aria.

Aten bent the purple doll's legs and he made it sit on the edge of the table. "See, Unkie Tistan? I made the doll shit! See? It's shitting on the side of the table!"

Tristan's growl left and Otogi watched the change in Tristan's appearance. Mokuba was unwrapping his Barnacle Burger, trying not to laugh.

Aria made her yellow doll sit on the edge of the table like her brother's. "WOW! I did it, too! GO ME!"

Otogi snickered. "Yes, Aten, that's very nice. Eat your salad."

Aten mixed up the chicken into the salad. "My mommy said that salad is good for my heart. I have to eat lots of things that will mate it strong."

Aria ravaged her pizza quickly and played with her doll. Aten was a slow eater. When he was done, he pulled out a tiny box. In it, Ryou had placed his lunchtime medications.

He took out the respective pills and took each one with his cup of juice. When he was done taking his medications, he leaned on Mokuba's side, his eyes half-closed. The boy snuggled up to Mokuba and sighed heavily.

The pills still made Aten sleepy after he had taken them. Mokuba looked down.

"You tired, Aten?"

"I toot my pills….me sleepy affer I tate them."

Mokuba wrapped an arm around Aten and let the boy doze. He was able to eat with his other hand.

Tristan watched Aten take his doll into his hand and mutter quietly in Egyptian.

Jaimen played with his blue bendy doll. "WOW! I got a toy! Thank you, daddy!"

Seto smiled. "You don't have to thank me."

Aria looked over at her brother muttering quietly. "Aten's tired."

They finished eating quickly.

"I'll take you and your brother home, Aria. Then I'll drop Otogi off at our apartment. After I grab my gym bag, I'll drop Seto and Jaimen off at KaibaCorp," Tristan said.

Tristan dropped Aria and Aten off at Ryou's home. Marik stood outside and took his sleeping son from Otogi's arms.

"See, daddy….I got a doll that shits."

Marik looked at the doll. "Geeze, Taylor……If you get my son a doll, can't you get one without bodily functions?"

"It wasn't me! It came with his chicken salad!"

Marik rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. Thanks for bringing my boy back in one piece."

Aria skipped to Bakura. "Where's mommy?"

"Mommy's laying down."

"I want to show her my dolly!" Aria screeched running into the house.

Seto turned and saw Miranda walk down the street. He grabbed Tristan's wrist. "We have to go….NOW!"

Miranda smiled as she walked up to Seto. "Hello, Seto. How are you?"

Seto turned pale. "Umm…Umm…Go away."

Tristan turned around and saw Miranda. "'Get away.' How could you tell her to go away? She's beautiful!" Tristan stepped beside her and wrapped one arm behind her and another hand patting her belly. "I wish I had a beautiful woman like this walk up to me and say 'Hello.'"

Otogi rolled his eyes and Seto watched as Miranda's face turned face red.

"Even with this belly on her, I'd love to throw her down, cover her in coffee and lick it off of her."

Miranda blushed every shade of red possible.

A wolfish grin spread on Seto's face. 'Oh, really! Tristan is her weakness!'

Marik growled and stamped his foot like a spoiled child. "I've been dying to make her blush that way since the first day I met her!"

Tristan snickered. "Maybe she doesn't like skinny Egyptians."

"Tristan," Otogi said carefully. "Do you really want to go to the Shadow Realm today?"

Marik snickered. "Listen to your pussy, Taylor."

A muffled thud sounded and Mokuba looked at Seto unconscious on the ground.

Marik looked down at the unconscious man shaking his head. "Seto Kaiba….the most powerful man in the world…scourge of the business world cannot take a reference to female genitalia."

Otogi gave a shudder.

Mokuba sighed. "Tristan, can you please pick Seto up and carry him into the car? I can't carry him."

Tristan bent down to pick Seto up and Miranda couldn't help but look at Tristan's ass. Otogi moved over to Miranda and looked at Tristan's ass.

"Nice view, huh, Miranda?" Otogi asked her and she turned a deeper shade of red.

Tristan picked Seto up and Otogi gave Tristan a playful little slap on the right buttock.

The tall brunet jumped slightly, giving his partner a grin. "Mmm…that felt good, baby. Do it again."

Otogi snickered. "I hurt my hand doing it. Maybe Miranda will like to do it for me."

Miranda leaned on the gate, holding back her hand, trying to beat back the urge to slap Tristan. She wanted to…..GODS…she wanted to. She dreamed about it for five years. She was infatuated by Tristan…his hair…his large, strong arms, his muscular physique….definitely a drool-worthy specimen of manhood, who could park his boots next to Daniel's any day.

Tristan grinned. "Come on, Miranda," Tristan said wiggling his butt in front of her. "You know you want to."

Mokuba laughed. If only Seto had not lost consciousness before, this surely would have done it for Seto.

Miranda walked up nervously to Tristan and gave him a playful slap.

Tristan let out a husky moan. "That's it, baby….oh, yes."

Marik's jaw dropped. "I've been trying to get her to do that for me for five years and all Caffeine-Boy has to do is ask?!"

Miranda grinned. "It's Tristan!"

"Do it again, Miranda!" Tristan begged.

Miranda slapped him again and Marik growled.

"That's it! I'm putting Aten to bed and then I'm going to make love to my Light!"

Tristan put Seto in the backseat with Jaimen, who was too occupied with his toy to leave the car. Tristan told Jaimen Seto was sleeping.

Tristan watched Marik disappear into the house. "So, Miranda, how are you feeling?"

"Okay, I guess. I'm just going for a walk. I have to get away from the house."

"Is your baby a boy or a girl?"

"A boy."

Otogi squealed and hugged Miranda. "That's great news! You'll have to call us when you have your baby shower!"

Miranda nodded. "I sure will! I had better get back to my walk. The baby's kicking again."

Miranda walked off and Mokuba looked at his brother, stirring from his fainting spell.

"Where'd she go?" Seto moaned.

"She's gone, Seto," Tristan said getting behind the wheel. "It's a pity. You missed her giving me a good spanking."

Seto's stomach rolled. "Don't say another word."

Tristan chuckled as he drove to his apartment.

Tristan and Otogi stepped out of the car. "Why don't you come up for some cool air? It's better than sitting in this heat."

Mokuba looked at a wavering Seto. "Yeah. That would be good. I think my big brother needs a drink."

Seto held his head. "A stiff drink."

****************************

Otogi held Tristan's hand as they walked up to their apartment. Seto and Mokuba were keenly aware of the people glaring daggers at Tristan and Otogi's display of affection.

Tristan lead the others to his apartment and unlocked the door.

What they found………was destruction.

Tristan opened the door and he and Otogi entered the apartment.

"WHAT THE HELL---?!" Tristan's voice resounded through the floor.

Otogi staggered into the room and saw what had happened.

The couch cushions had been thrown off of the couch and shredded. The couch itself had been also been shredded.

The lamps had been broken and shattered. The television was busted and its contents scattered around the floor.

Seto entered the room and looked up to see "PERVERTS" written in black paint.

Mokuba held Jaimen in his arms. Jaimen's arms wrapped around Mokuba's neck.

Otogi's eyes filled with tears as he walked into the kitchen. Otogi let out a sob as he saw what littered the floor of the kitchen.

"My grandmother's china! Broken!"

Seto walked into the kitchen and saw Otogi kneeling among the shards of broken china.

Otogi picked up two halves of a broken plate. "This china is all I had left to remind me of my grandmother! She's…She's dead!"

Tristan pushed past Seto and put a shoulder on his lover's shoulder to comfort him.

Tristan looked at the walls of the kitchen. Eggs were thrown at the walls, the food was tossed out of the refrigerator. The floor was covered in broken glass and splattered food. Their forks and knives were thrown around. Tristan's coffee cups were shattered with the other dishes. Otogi stood up and walked to a cabinet and opened it up. The only intact thing in the kitchen was Otogi's frilly pink apron.

Seto walked into Tristan and Otogi's bedroom. On the bed was a slaughtered pig, it's slashed throat leaking blood. On the wall above the bed was written "DEATH TO GAYS" in the same black paint.

Seto heard footsteps behind him and heard Tristan and Otogi's gasp.

Otogi's sobs had continued as he stepped into the bedroom. Tristan and Otogi's clothes were shredded. Their mirror was shattered. The distinctive smell in the room made their noses curl.

The perpetrators had thrown shit around the room and wiped all of their possessions with the waste matter.

Otogi looked at his favorite tank top covered in shit and black paint.

"What do you guys see?" Mokuba called.

Seto turned. "Don't bring Jaimen in here. Take him down to the lobby. Stay there with him."

Mokuba left with the child in his arms.

Tristan saw his own clothes shredded, covered in shit and black paint.

Otogi's face went pale. "We have no clothes……no possessions."

Tristan looked in the corner and felt his heart sink. Aten had drawn Tristan a painting of he and Tristan on his motorcycle. It had been started before Aten went into the hospital. Tristan was afraid that it would be the last painting he would ever receive from Aten. When Aten left the hospital, he finished it during his recovery. It was a miracle to him that Aten could finish this painting…now…it was ruined.

Aten's painting was covered in black paint that read "FAGGOTS."

Tristan stepped over the clothes to the painting. "Aten drew me this. It's ruined. My prized possession….ruined." Tears came to Tristan's eyes as his hand brushed the canvas.

"Aten can make us another painting, Tris."

Tristan stood up and wiped his eyes. "Yeah. Now we just need a place to put it in."

Otogi and Tristan exchanged glances. "I think we should go back to the Crestwood Apartments and sign a lease. This place is totaled."

Tristan sighed. "Got your apron? I have to go to the Manager's Office. Hopefully the insurance will cover what we lost."

Otogi and Tristan held hands as they left the bedroom. In the hallway, Tristan looked down and saw one of the little stuffed monkeys that belonged to Aten. Its stomach was cut and its stuffing ripped out.

Otogi looked down at the monkey. "Sprinkles….Aten's not going to take this too well."

"We'll replace it."

Seto followed them to the front door.

Otogi stopped and turned back. "We lost everything, Tris. It's all gone."

Tristan tipped Otogi's chin up so he could look into his lover's green eyes. "It's all stuff, baby. It's you that I can't replace."

Otogi's face scrunched up and he started sobbing on Tristan's shoulder. Tristan drew his lover closer.

Seto sighed and shook his head. "My Public Relations Department is going to be really, really busy this weekend."
