[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Diah: Good day to you.
Des: Hmm.
Diah: This is a Bakura/Yugi pairing story.
Des: Mmm-hmm
Diah: This is different from other Bakura/Yugi stories.
Des: Mmm-hmm.
Diah: So knowing the pairing, you should already know it's a gay story. Literally.
Des: Mmm-hmm.
Diah: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Ask Yami. He'll tell you.
Yami: *pops in from nowhere* How'd I get here? *looks around* Hey Diah, Des.
Diah: Hey.
Des: Hmm.
Yami: You guys need something?
Diah: i was just saying they could ask you. I didn't mean that they had to bring you here...
Yami: Ask me what?
Random reader 1: Are you really afraid of cats?
Random reader 2: No! Are you bi? If you are, would you consider me as you're girlfriend?
Random reader 3: Shut up, both of you! We all know he's 100% gay and he's perfectly happy with Yugi.
Diah: Actually, he's paired with Marik in this story.
Yami: Really?
Des: Mmm-hmm.
Random reader 4: Ignore them. The question is 'Does Diah own YGO?'
Yami: Diah...own...YGO...*starts laughing*
Diah: *huffs* It's not THAT funny.
Yami: You're right. I prefer yaio myself to what we're suppose to be doing.
Des: Hmmm...
Diah: Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm just some poor teen with no life.
Yami: That is true.
Des: Mmm-hmm.
Diah: Des, What the hell's wrong with you?! Speak clearly!
Des: *points at empty jar of peanut butter*
D&Y: OOOoooooh.
Diah: Anyways, Ja!
Des: Hm!
Yami: Now, how do I get back home...?

Amethyst eyes shone into the darkness of the room. They were filled with so many emotions at the moment. The strongest of them being of longing.

\\Aibou? Shouldn't you be asleep? It's late.\\

The light purple orbs blinked in suprise, and the look of longing dimmed, but did not disappear.

\Yami, you startled me.\

\\Sorry, hikari.\\

\Heh heh...That rhythmed.\

\\It did, didn't it?\\

\Hey! You're a poet, and you didn't even...realize it.\

A deep velvety laugh echoed throughout the mind of the purple-eyed teen.

\\But, seriously Yugi, what are you doing up?\\

\Just thinking about stuff.\

\\Care to share?\\

\Not particulary. I'm going to try to get some sleep now, okay?\

\\Of course. Go to sleep, aibou. Sleep well.\\

The violet eyes slowly closed and a small grin crept over the teen's young child-like features.

\So it is written, so it shall -yawn- be done. The pharoah commands it, and I will obey.\

\\Fu~unny. Ha. Ha. Ha. Good night, Yugi.\\

\'Night, Yami.\

Silence surronded the owner of the amethyst eyes and the youth fell into a deep and peaceful slumber.

"Aibou, c'mon! The others are waiting for us!" Yami yelled from down the stairs.

Frantic eyes snapped open and their owner jumped up from his resting place out of bed. He opened the door, and poked his head through it and looked down the stairs, only to find himself staring down at Yami and most his friends. They were all dressed in bathing suits with towels strung over their necks or around their waists. Several beach toys were resting near their feet.

He blinked in surprise. Oh! That's right! Today the whole group of them were going to the beach to celebrate Yugi's birthday. He was snapped out of his thoughts as a voice from below carried up to him.

"Nice pajamas," Bakura said a bit teasingly.

Yugi slightly blushed as he looked down at himself. He twirled in a small circle, then looked down at the dark spirit. "Aren't they though?" he asked rather cheekily "I absoulutely love them! You know, I got them as a present from this REALLY hot guy. He said something about them being really easy to take off," Yugi said before gaining a really thoughtful expression. "I have no clue why though...," he said, feigning innocence.

Bakura blushed and opened his mouth to retort, but a sharp voice cut in before he could reply. "Please keep your love lifes to yourselves. I just ate."

Yugi looked over at the sound of the voice and tried to muffle a laugh as he saw Ryou thwapping the back of his head lightly and scolding him. Seto even looked somewhat guity...sort of.

Yugi grinned at his tall friend. "Of course, Seto. Bakura, would you mind helping me carry some of my beach stuff? Please?" he asked, a sweet smile researved only for his love, firmly is place on his face.

He frowned a bit and tried to look away from the little one's adorable face. "Why can't Yami do it? He's your yami, you know. He's obligated by some unwritten code of Ra to do as you say. Then again, he doesn't have to, but he's the good pharoah, so he will," he tried to reason with him.

Ryou raised an eyebrow at this. "That's some of the most messed up logic I've ever come across! It's not like you do things for me when I ask, so he's not obligated."

The former tomb robber snorted."Didn't you just hear me, Ryou?" he asked his hikari in a condesending tone. "I said that he'd do it because he's the good pharoah, I'm not good...or a pharaoh."

Marik who had been relaxing in one of the living room armchairs , smirked from where he was. "That's not true, Bakura."

"What isn't?" Bakura asked, cautiously.

"The fact that Yami is always _good_," Marik said, opening one eye to look at his best friend. "In fact, he can be down right naughty at times."

The pale boy paled even further and stared at his friend in disgust. "Ewww, Marik! Don't talk about such nasty things!"

Seto coughed in a way that sounded as if he was saying, "*You and Yugi*".

The small British boy besides him gave him a look, and then turned to his yami. "Just help the poor boy carry his stuff, would you? You know you want to," he sangout the last bit in a taunting manner.

"Fine," he said in a way that clearly said that he was anything, but upset. "But I get to carry the lightest stuff."

The smaller teen smirked in a way very much like the sadist's own. "We'll see."
...
...
...

Thirty minutes later, Yugi came skipping down the stairs in a pair of swim trunks with a pattern of flames dancing up the sides and a towel that had Dark magician standing up in front, Kuriboh sitting by his left foot, and the Celtic Guardian standing to his right with his arm slung over his best friend's shoulder in his hands. All he had in his hands besides that was a little plastic pail and shovel.

"Yug'...? Where's Bakura? ...And your stuff?" a voice asked from the kitchen doorway. Yugi looked over at the door to see one of his best friends, Jou. Behind him stood Malik who was rolling his eyes at the great amount of food the blonde held in his hands.

"Jou...," the Egyptian began, "you do know that if you eat all that food before swimming, you're going to get a cramp, right?"

"It's a myth, I tell you. I'll be fine."

Malik huffed at him. "Fine. Whatever."

Jou looked at his food, then at Malik, then back to the food. He sighed, and with one last glance of longing, carried his sub and chips back to the kitchen. "You owe me." he said looking at the Egyptian teen who just grinned, well, leered, before turning to look at the birthday boy. "So as I was saying, if I know you like I think I do, Yug', then I know you would not go to the beach with practically no toys," Jou said him.

Yugi smirked. "Well, as for Bakura and the toys..." He nodded his head towards his bedroom door. Everyone turned to look, and there was the tomb robber standing at the top of the stairs. He was trying to watch where he was going but was having a hard time, due to all the toys he had in his arms. The group laughed.

When he had got to the bottom steps, he dropped the stuff and glared at them. His scowl, however, softened at an incredile rate when they landed on the smallest teen.

"Hey Bakura...I like your neck though..." Otogi smirked at him as his hand flew up to touch the red mark that shown especially well on his pale skin.

Yugi's chest puffed up a bit in pride. "Yeah! A masterpiece, huh? Normally, I'm the one covered in bites," Yugi said, sighing wistfully.

Rou nodded in sympathy. "The hard life of us ukes. I know, I know," he said, patting his friend on the back. The two looked at each other and then burst out laughing. The other ukes -Jou and Honda- soon joined in. Marik and Yami looked at each other and shook their heads, chuckling.

The semes all turned towards each other and raised an eyebrow at their ukes weird behavior. After the ukes and (1) seme/ukes finished laughing, Otogi spoke up.

"As much fun as all this is, I suggest we go to the beach now. I bet Yugi'd love to open his presents there."

Yugi looked at him in surprise. "What'd you say? Presents?!" he exclaimed. Faintly in the background, the sound of beeping could be heard echoing around the house.

The youth grinned. "Well, duh!"

Honda who'd been quiet until now smiled and spoke to his small friend. "Of course, Yugi. You've done so much for all of us, given each of us what we needed or didn't need for that matter. It's the least we can do for you, to buy you presents on your birthday." There was a murmur of agreement within the group of males. Yugi blushed a bright red and looked down at his feet. Again, a distant beeping rang in his ears. He shook it off. "I haven't done that much, guys. Just did what anyone would to for those closest around them."

Bakura chuckled at him. "You're way too modest, Yugi." Again, a murmur of agreement and a few laughs came from the group. That was soon followed by yet another far-off beeping that seeped through to Yugi's ears. It was starting to rake on his nerves.

"Where is that sound coming from? Did you guys hear it?" he asked. He wanted to know where it was coming from so he could turn it off .

Yami turned towards him. "What sound?"

"That beeping sound."

Eyeryone looked at him. "No..." they all said in almost perfent unison.

"Really? Try listening. It's kind of distant sounding." For a few moments, everyone waited for the beeping. It came again, a little faster and clearer then before though. "There it is," Yugi said.

"What? Where?" Otogi asked him, listening still.

"Aibou? Are you alright?" You're hearing things," Yami said worriedly.

Yugi blushed at the attention he was getting. "Am I?"

Bakura rushed over and put a hand on his forehead. "Yugi? Well, he does seem a bit warm..."

Ryou bit his lip. "Perhaps we shouldn't go to the beach today."

Bakura shook his head. "No. You guys go to thebeach without us. I'll take care of Yugi myself. I......"

The world around Yugi began to blur into a mash of colors and sounds. He couldn't see much except for Bakura's face looming close to his own. His mouth wasmoving, but he couldn't hear what was being said. He began to panic as even Bakura's face became a collage of mist.

"Bakura! Don't leave me! ...Don't...leave...me..."

"I wasn't planning on leaving you, hikari," a deep velvety voice resonated from next to him. It was the same voice that had laughed in his mind last night. Last night...he glanced at the now silent alarm clock that read 8:00 am. So it was only a dream. None of that was real, and Bakura and him still weren't together. Damn.

Suddenly a thought occured to him. "Yami? You don't happen to like Malik's yami do you? You know, Marik?"

Yami paled a considerable amount and stared at Yugi. "Am I THAT obvious? I really didn't think tha-, but then you...You're not mad, are you? I mean, I know he tried to kill us all, but somehow after he begged forgiveness...He wasn't in his right mind then and stuff was happening. I just like him," Yami explained in a jumbled rush.

"No! It's fine, Yami," Yugi said reassuringly. "I forgave him too. He's okay. I like him. No, no! Not like that!!" Yugi exclaimed at Yami's startled gaze. "I meant like a friend. I like someone else..." he added softly.

Crimson eyes brightened. "I'm glad you're not upset. I always thought you liked me, but I could never bring myself to tell you I had no feelings for you beyond a brotherly love. Wait, I'm not the other person you like, am I?" At Yugi's shake of the head, he continued. "Okay then, Who is it?"

He laughed. "Nope! Can't tell you! You have to figure it out for yourself like I did for you."

Yami frowned. "How did you figure it out anyways?"

"Surprisingly enough, it was through a dream," he said in a star-lit tone.

"You have visions? Since when?!"

"A vision? It was just a dream, Yami," he reasoned with the taller youth.

Yami shook his head. "If it gave you info on real life...stuff you already didn't know, then it was probably a vision," he explained.

Yugi's eyes widened. "Whoa."

Yami sighed, when suddenly a light bulb went on above his head. He looked up at it and growled. "Stupid light bulb," he muttered. "Always flickering on and off. It's so annoying!"

"Yeah. We should go to the store and get a new one or something," Yugi suggested.

"Later. Right now, I have an idea!" With that, he grabbed Yugi out of bed and hauled ass out the door to the living room.

"Yami, I'm still in my pajamas!!!"

He stopped and looked at him. "Oh. Well, go upstairs and change quickly. Hurry!"

Yugi shrugged and ran upstair to get dressed. When he was up in his room, Yami picked up the phone and dialed a number. He waited as the phone rang and someone picked up. "Hello, Isis? Yeah. Will you be home? Yugi. Later. Fine. See ya." He hung up the phone and smirked just as Yugi came bounding down the stairs.
