Summary: Jou feels really alone and is sinking into depression. His friends all have someone they love and want to be with, and Jou just doesn't feel like he's wanted around anymore. But maybe that'll change when Mokuba turns up missing.

Jou watched as his friends talked and laughed together. Yami and Yugi were in a big armchair, Ryou, Bakura, Malik, and Marik on the sofa, Honda and Otogi on the floor, and Serenity and Mai had disappeared to upstairs somewhere.

"Hell, those girls are the horniest of all of us", Honda had commented.

Jou was having fun with the rest of them, or so it seemed. Nobody noticed how he sometimes gazed wistfully when one of the couples kissed or made a comment that made the other blush. He would have given anything to have a relationship like that. He always envied his friends that had Yamis who they loved and were with constantly. It always amused him that all his friends had lovers of the same sex. Of course he felt the same way, he just wished there was someone for him. Tea was the only one who turned out to be straight and none of them really liked her anymore anyways, thank the gods. Jou was just thinking about leaving and going home, not that home was great; far from it but anything was better than this, when the door to Yugi's house was pounded on so hard there would probably be a dent in it.

* BAM BAM BAM *

"What the…" Otogi, Marik, and Yami yelled while Bakura stood up abruptly and Ryou fell off the couch.

Since he was already standing, Bakura went to open the door. He had barely turned the knob when the door was pushed open and in strode Seto Kaiba.

"Where the hell is Mokuba?!" He demanded. Jou actually felt bad for him, he looked really worried. "Calm down Kaiba, we haven't seen him."

Seto looked at him for a few moments and then, apparently satisfied he was being honest, stalked back out again. Yugi got up and ran after him. "Wait Kaiba, we'll help you look. Where did you see him last?"

"He was at a friend's house", Seto replied still walking, "And when I went there to bring him home this morning, they were under the impression I had already come to pick him up. I thought he may have been with you, but obviously he wasn't, so I'm going back to the mansion to see if he's turned up. If he hasn't I'm calling the police."

By this time the whole group was following Seto, even Serenity and Mai who had heard the commotion and followed in time to get the drift of what was going on.

After that they traveled in silence and it wasn't long before they arrived at the huge Kaiba mansion. A frantic looking elderly female servant greeted them at the door. "Mister Kaiba, a man came by and he said to give you this", she waved an envelope in her hand, "and said not to call the police or you'll never find Mokuba and he'll be worse than dead." She was shaking when she held the envelope out to Seto. "What did he look like Marietta?" Seto interrogated sternly. "I don't know sir, I'm sorry he wore a trench coat and a hat and I didn't see his face."

Seto dismissed her and opened the envelope. He first read the note to himself and then shoved it at Yami who read it aloud.

Kaiba,

Before I inform you of just what is going on, I would like to remind you not to call the police. Believe me, it would be very foolish of you, and I'm afraid young Mokuba would be scarred for life from the experience, if he would be indeed alive. With that said, I shall make my demands. I want your entire corporation handed over to me. Don't worry, I will allow you to remain here, in fact I think it's better if you do. I will keep Mokuba hostage as an assurance of your cooperation. I'm watching you Seto Kaiba, I know all you do. Meet me in the abandoned building by the game shop to see your brother and discuss this further. I'm sure you've already told your friends, so bring them along. I'll deal with them then.

"It's not signed." Yami concluded putting the note back into the envelope. Seto, always so calm and cool, was loosing some of his composure. "Oh Gods, Mokuba kidnapped! Why is this happening?"

Jou actually went up to him and put a steadying hand on his shoulder. "Hey don't panic Kaiba. We're all here with you and I'd die before I let something happen to Mokuba."

Kaiba looked like he wanted to make a caustic reply, but then his expression softened and his deep blue eyes filled with worry again. He leaned into Jou's support for a few moments and then straightened up. "Well obviously we have to go to this place, and I'm not going to risk calling the police." He began.

"We have an advantage." Serenity stated softly. "There are a lot of us, I'm sure we can come up with something."

"Serenity's right", Mai followed "We should split up or something." She smiled at the younger girl beside her and took her hand.

"Yes, we'll split up," Yami agreed. "Mai, Serenity, Ryou, and Yugi go to Yugi's house and wait there for us to call or come. Everybody go to Yugi's house eventually. Bakura, Marik, Tristan, and Otogi station yourselves around the abandoned house, don't let yourselves be seen unless necessary! Malik, Jou, Kaiba, and myself will enter the abandoned house and confer with this man. Obviously, the plan is to get Mokuba safely and also to try to not let this man escape. I'm not concerned about him "constantly watching us", I feel that was a bluff." Yami added seeing some of the group looked scared.

"Well let's get on with it already." Seto said impatiently.
