Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Tornadoes Of Umi ❯ Calling M.E. ( Prologue )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Neo Qwerty: Well, here's chapter One, as promised!
Yami Azerty: It was pretty fast.
NQ: *happy face* Yeah, we got a review from Holo! Like, two minutes after we posted this thing on FanFiction.Net! It's also up on MediaMiner, by the way!
YA: Hikari, I suggest you begin this chapter.
NQ: ...Right! This time, it's ALSO Prologue, but in Yami POV!
YA: *smiles* My Hikari's re-written the lyrics a bit to fit Yami, but not much.
Prologue: Calling M.E.

Yami was sunbathing, his mind working it's hardest to decypher what the Shaman had said to him.

*Something's callin' me, I don't know what
Something's talkin' but I don't know who
Something's callin' me more and more,
No-one stops me!*

He lazily opened one red eye, setting himself more comfortably on his sunning rock, Look-Out Rock as the humans called it, before closing it again, his sharp three-point ears twitching slightly with the sound of the other merfolks playing deep below. A small grin found it's way to his face. They were always playing... Children.

*Was born for more than a lifetime in the Fallen City, yeah
His duty's to protect Crown of Waters gem
Hold the climate, he's searching for shining
But everytime he look for the sun, he can't find it
Yami, D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S.*

He heard a different sound and found himself looking at the nearest house, where his look-alike lived. The young one was listening to a music that Yami couldn't make out, but it seemed to sadden the petite teen. Yami sighed, crossing his arms, careful about the sharp fins protuding from his forearms. The small bones were a radiant violet, and the rubbery skin between them was hard and black.

*Is this the way, the path I chose?
Then why am I living with my heart so cold?
All that I see is a storm of stones?
I like to dig holes in search of gold,
Large treasures make me feel much better*

He closed his eyes again, outward appearing calm, but inside overwhelmingly longing to warm himself. He may be hot outside, inside, he had a maddening feeling of loneliness that only grew with seeing the small tri-color teen loooking sad. Despite himself, he then heard a shuffle coming from Devil Cliff. The young boy was up there.

*Cold and stubborn but I still gon' live it
Here for the mission, whoever wanna bring it*

He heard a small crack, then a dull slash, folowed by a startled yelp, and he opened his eyes hurriedly, meeting panicked and pleading ametyst. As the youger boy hit the water, Yami was already moving, diving after the boy hurriedly and taking him in his arms, feeling a tingle at the contact.

*I don't wanna hurta, my passion observed
I been lonely all my life, doesn't matter
My duty is to save the flower
The pure innocence lying in my arms*

He brought the boy back at the surface and put him on Look-Out Rock, before crawling up after the boy, worried. The boy curled up on himself and coughed up some water, before his eyes opened and he stared in concerned ruby. Yami couldn't help it right then. It was what the annoying Mazaki had predicted. Love. He felt it, and then he slowly brushed their lips together. He almost lost his breath. It felt just right.

*Something's callin' me, and now I know what
Someone's talking, now I know who
Someone's callin' me more and more
And I answer with my own voice
I've made my choice!*

NQ: Was this one good too?
YA: Same rule as before. One review, we continue. No review, we stop.
