Chapter Ten- The Final Fight Against Evil
Seto sighed, taking a long drink from his mug of coffee. They returned from the Shadow Realm (leaving Seth and the other Priests behind, much to Seto's relief), and broke the news to Yugi, Ryou, Tristan, and Otogi, who were all at Ryou's (Tristan taking Yugi and Otogi to Ryou's). As was expected, Yugi was up the stairs before Malik or Marik could say anything and Ryou broke down in his yami's arms when Seto was finished.
“What do we do now?” Tristan asked quietly, breaking the tension in the room.
Seto sat back. “We find Joey.”
“Yeah, but where? He could be anywhere,” Otogi exclaimed, shifting closer to Tristan.
Yami frowned, coming back from calming Yugi down, until the diminutive duelist fell asleep. “No, I think I know where my sister took him.”
Everyone looked at him expectantly. “Where?” Seto asked.
“Egypt, I think she's trying to resurrect Set,” Yami said, looking out the living room window.
Bakura snorted. “Isn't that why you had her disowned?”
Yami nodded and then noticed the confused looks Tristan and Otogi were giving him. “My sister started studying Dark Magic when she turned 13. I don't really know why she did, however I knew I couldn't let her continue with her studies of that magic, so I had the scrolls destroyed and priests that were helping her beheaded. She continued her normal studies with Mahado and Mana, although she let me know how much she hated me by humiliating the Royal Family in many ways.”
Seto raised an eyebrow. “Such as…?”
“Spreading lies that I slept with all my priests, priestesses, servants, and guards,” Yami replied.
Bakura snickered. “I remember that, I also remember her telling everyone that you were my bitch.”
Yami shook his head as Tristan and Otogi muffled their laughter so they wouldn't wake Ryou and Yugi. “I never was and never will be your bitch.”
“I'd rather Ryou than you, anyway,” Bakura said, stroking Ryou's hair lovingly. “He's sexier than you.”
“Bakura,” Ryou muttered, hitting his yami, a faint blush coming to his cheeks.
Yami rolled his eyes. “Anyway, she somehow managed to continue studying the Dark Magic and she managed to bring Set from the underworld. If Seth, my Priests and I hadn't sacrificed our souls, Set would have destroyed the world.”
Seto stood, finishing his coffee. “Well, I guess this means we have to go to Egypt then.”
“Well, Tris, I guess you can start working on your tan there,” Otogi said, standing also.
Tristan snorted. “You can work on your sun burn.”
Malik stood. “Can we come? We want to help you get rid of her. If it weren't for her, we wouldn't be in this mess and Yugi wouldn't be terrified of me and Marik.”
Yami looked at Seto. “I don't know…”
“Think about it, Pharaoh, you'll need about as much help as you can get, and frankly, Malik and I know more about rituals and what not than the rest of you,” Marik growled.
“He has a point,” Seto said.
Yami nodded. “I don't think I want my hikari to have a heart attack or something if he found out he was in the same house as Malik and Marik.”
“I'll say here with Yugi,” Ryou said, giving Bakura a kiss before heading upstairs.
“As soon as this is over, Ryou and I have serious catching up to do,” Bakura muttered under his breath, making Yami and Seto roll their eyes.

Joey groaned, opening his eyes. “Wha, da hell happened?” He tried to sit up, but found himself bound to a stone table. He lifted his head to see what his surroundings looked like and almost had a heart attack when he saw what was 2 feet from his face. Zombies. Chanting zombies. As if that's a great way to get his adrenaline going.
“Oh good, you're awake,” said a feminine voice. Joey turned his head to see a beautiful, tanned woman with many tattoos on her body, a lot of gold bracelets, necklaces, and very little clothing. There was a man beside him, who wore a cloak nd a hood that shadowed his face. He stood silently beside the woman, arms crossed over his chest and rifle slung on his back.
“Who da hell are you two an' where da hell are we?” Joey demanded, feeling his heart start to race.
The man backhanded him, making the blond yelp in pain and surprise. “Don't talk to her like that,” the man growled in a familiar Australian-accented voice.
[Why does dat voice sound so damn familiar?] Joey thought, glaring the cloaked man.
“Come now, Varon, don't be rude,” the woman said, putting a hand on the Russian man's shoulder
Varon's lips curled into a smirk, before he backed off.
“My name's Kayanna, Atem's younger sister,” she said, giving a small bow. “This is my loyal servant, Varon, and we are in Egypt.”
Joey's eyes widened. “Varon? Wha da hell are ya doin' here? I thought ya stopped workin' fer da evil people.”
“An' what wrong with workin' with this lovely lady, hm?” Varon asked, grinning as he pulled his hood down.
“A lot of things,” Joey muttered, tugging on his restraints. “Um, could ya let me go?”
Kayanna laughed. “Let you go? I'm sorry, but that won't be happening anytime soon. You are my sacrifice for the great God, Set.”
Joey swallowed hard. From what he learned about Ancient Egypt, Set wasn't a nice guy to be with. “Sacrifice? I'm only 16!” Joey protested, struggling against the chains that held him to the stone table.
Kayanna's eyes suddenly went serious. “Enough talk, let us begin the ritual.”
Varon walked away, so he was outside the ring of chanting zombies. Kayanna moved so she was standing in front of where Joey's head was, a large book in hand. She began speaking in a funny language (Arabic).
[Oh shit, what the hell have I done?]

Yami growled under his breath, when he saw the once beautiful clear-blue sky grow dark with black clouds. “We have to hurry.”
Tristan gave him a questioning look. “Well, do you know were to-” Tristan was cut off from large bolts of lightning hitting a hill that was on the horizon.
“There.” The group (being Tristan, Otogi, Seto, Bakura) could hear something in the distance. They turned to see a black helicopter, with the logo KC on the front, coming towards them.
“I figured we'd get there faster by air,” Seto said, walking towards the landing aircraft. The group quickly got into the helicopter, which sped off in the direction of the hill.

Joey let out a scream as several bolts of lightning hit him, making his body spasm from the raw electricity that was flowing through him. He didn't even notice the blade hat was driven into his stomach, nor the shouts above or around him.
“Kayanna, stop what you're doing!!” Yami shouted, jumping from the helicopter (the ground being a few meters away.)
Kayanna let out an evil laugh. “Why should I, brother dear? You're too late, I've already summoned the great god Set, and he will reward me for my efforts.”
“Reward you? Set is ruthless, sadistic and evil, he won't reward you, Kayanna, he'll more than likely kill you, along with the rest of the Ra damned world,” Bakura snarled.
Kayanna was about to retort when suddenly the earth beneath them started trembling violently, throwing many of them to the ground.
“What the…” Seto's eyes widened when he saw what was coming out of the ground. It was a being with the body of a human, the head of an unknown animal, and height of a giant (A/N: I made the height part up part up because I don't know if a god would be gigantic or human size or whatever) (1). He had red eyes and red hair.
Malik and the yamis froze in fear when they saw him. “We are so fucked,” Malik whispered as the god looked around.
“My Lord I have finally awakened you,” Kayanna said, bowing, the zombies who had been chanting, did the same along with Dima.
Set smirked down at her. “I thank you, little princess, however, I won't have any followers to help me take over the world, for I plan on destroying it.”
Kayanna's eyes widened. “B-B-But my Lord, I raised you from the dead, I've had to wait 5000 years in the Shadow Realm for the right time to raise you.”
“And I thank you again, however, your assistance shan't be required anymore,” Set replied, his hand raising. He mouthed a few words as a red ball of magic formed in his hand. Before Kayanna could react, Set shot the ball at her. Kayanna clenched her eyes shut wait for her entire being to disintegrate into nothing. Her eyes snapped open when she heard a growl in front of her. “Varon no!!” She screamed as her Australian servant was enveloped in red magic.
“Aw, man, we gotta do something!” Otogi shouted.
“But what?!” Tristan shouted back, as Set turned his attention towards them.
“You two I find annoying, say farewell.” Set's voice boomed over the lands, as he raised his hand again.
Meanwhile, Malik who was standing behind Set, managed to catch Tristan's eye. Distract him, Malik mouthed out, before running towards Kayanna.
“You summoned him, so you are going to force him back,” he snarled at her.
Kayanna looked at him with fearful eyes. “B-But, I don't have anyone to sacrifice, except…” The fear on her face was replaced with determination. “I understand.”
During that time, Yami, Bakura, Seto, and Marik went over to Tristan and Otogi to help them distract the giant god, after seeing what Malik and Kayanna were going to do.
“Hey, freak I'm over here!!” Otogi yelled, jumping to the side as a red ball of magic was hurled at him. “Ya missed!! How the hell could you miss when I was right there?!!”
Set growled, becoming infuriated with their antics. “You are all beginning to anger me! And, I thought you were smarter than this, Pharaoh Atem!!”
Yami smirked. “I've had to save the world many times, including from a god. I believe he went by the name Anubis (2). I won't allow the world to be destroyed by the likes of you!”
Set appeared to have not heard him, because he started laughing. “Anubis is weak! The only thing powerful about him is his army (3)!” With that said, the earth began shaking again.
“That's not fair!” Bakura shouted, as forms began surfacing from the sand. “If his royal pain in the ass gets an army, then we do too!” The white-haired thief quickly pulled out his deck of card and quickly started summoning monsters, drawing magic from his Millennium Ring to make them completely life-like.
Marik and Yami followed his example, Otogi, Tristan, and Seto giving the yamis their decks (since they can't do magic).

Meanwhile in Cairo (sort of)…

“I'm standing here live, where there's apparently some sort of duel going on in the desert behind me,” said a reporter from Toronto, Canada. “And above me, you can see there are military helicopters coming to break up the mess or take out the giant and monsters.” She and the cameraman quickly stepped out of the way as military vehicles came roaring past. “As you all can see, the government's apparently taking matters into there own hands, finally,” she added, the last word not meant for others to hear.
The cameraman zoomed in as far her could so everyone who was watching could get a better look. “Holy shit, I think that's Seto Kaiba!” He exclaimed.

On the battlefield…

Seto looked over, and wasn't sure if he should feel relief or annoyance as military vehicles and helicopters came towards them. “I'll handle this,” he said in Yami's ear, running towards the on coming vehicles.
“Who's in charge of you guys?!!” Seto yelled, standing in their way.
A burly man jumped out of the jeep that was in front of the larges vehicles, running towards the young CEO.
“Mr. Kaiba, this is absolutely no place for an important youngster such as yourself,” the man yelled, for the noise from the battle, behind Seto, was making it hard for everyone to hear things.
“First off, I'm not a fucking youngster, and secondly, if you and your men are going to be of some damn assistance then attack him” -Seto pointed at Set- “and them.” -he pointed to the dog-like creatures- “Don't attack them” -he pointed to the Duel Monsters, who were attacking Set's army- “they're on the good side, if you will.”
The man nodded and turned to his men. He shouted at them in Arabic, translating what Seto had told them.
It almost seemed hopeless. There were many men lying dead as Anubis' dog soldiers ran overtop of their bodies and attacked either other men or Duel Monsters.
“Malik what the hell is taking so damn long?!” Marik shouted, beheading a dog soldier.
Malik, who was currently chanting, didn't answer.
Set, finally noticing what the blond Egyptian was doing let out a great boom of laughter. “Foolish human, do you really think you can simply get rid of me?!”
Malik finally looked up, as he raised the dagger. “Yes, actually.” He plunged it into Kayanna's chest. She let out a cry as a gold light poured out from were the dagger was embedded. Set's eyes widen as he let out a yell while the dog soldiers turned to black sand.
“You aggravating little wretch!!” Set snarled, reaching out and grabbing Malik, throwing him far into the sky in the general direction of the Nile. Before he could begin descending, Malik was enveloped in shadows and disappeared.
“The Shadow Realm was a wonderful discovery,” Marik said, smirking. Set was about to reply but was suddenly enveloped in the gold light. He let tried to run, but was rooted to the spot. Set let out a final roar before disappearing into the sand, making a final earthquake.
Seto wasted not time running over to where the zombies were. They quickly turned into dust, having fulfilled their duties. He found Joey lying on the side, his eyes closed and blood protruding from his chest.
“Joey, Joey, wake up,” he said softly, shaking him. Seto hardly noticed the hand that was placed on his shoulder, people calling his name as the ground began to collapse (A/N: think sink hole kind of collapse) or the fact that he unexpectedly seemed to go deaf. Suddenly, he was at a loss at what to do. Sure, he and Joey never were lovers, but maybe it was the fact that he spiritually felt connected to the blond-haired boy.
“Ya know, Kaiba, if ya keep lookin' like dat, I'm gonna start thinkin' ya died or sumthin'.” Seto jumped his sapphire eyes focusing on a pair of mischievous amber eyes.
“Joey…you're…you're alive!!” Joey started gasping for air as the brunet gave him a bear hug.
“Great…ta see ya too…lemme go…can't breath!” Joey sucked a large gulp of air as he was released.
Marik's eyes were wide when he saw the supposedly sacrificed teen stand. “What the…you should be dead!”
Yami shook his head, chuckling. “Joey seems to have a thing for doing that.”
“Hey, guys I really don't want to be buried again, we better get out of here,” Bakura said running up to them as Seto's helicopter came flying towards them.
“Where's Malik?!” Seto shouted as the air craft was low enough for them to climb in.
“In the Shadow Realm!” Marik shouted back.

(1) - http://members.aol.com/egyptart/seth.html This is where I got my info on Set, so I don't know if it's totally correct.
(2) - If you are truly a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan then you'll see go and see the movie, if you don't understand what the heck I'm talking about. (IOW, referring to the movie).
(3) - This was taken from the movie The Mummy Returns. I did not come up with the idea for Anubis' army, the creator of The Mummy Returns did.
Jodine16: ^^ Wow, that was interesting. The last chapter will be posted on the 27th so have no worries! Review and hope ya all have a sweet weekend!
