Trial By Cards
Well here's chapter 5. It is the chapter where Yami Bakura took Yugi and them to the Shadow Realm, well it's got twisted a bit. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh so please don't sue.
Chapter 5: Diamonds, Yami's, and Bakura's
" Irina you really need to get some star chips," pointed out Keora as she looked at her bracelet that held three.
" Well Keora, it's not like you have ten already," argued Irina.
Mazara and Ray just looked at their feet trying to tune out their older sisters. They looked up in amazement when the shouts stopped and looked up to see their two friends starring at a white-haired boy. " Who're you?" asked Irina in utter amazement.
" My name is Ryou, Ryou Bakura, but call me Bakura and who might you be?" asked Ryou. Keora was still just standing stock still starring at Ryou. " Uh, what's wrong with her?" asked Ryou pointing to Keora. Mazara slapped her sister over the head with a stick and she came out of the trance.
" I'm Irina Terrain and the dummy is Keora. The one with the branch is Mazara, and short stuff is my sister, Ray," said Irina. They always teased poor Ray about her height, but they didn't do it to be mean it was just fun.
" Well hello. It's a pleasure to meet you. Would you like to duel?" asked Ryou. Irina and Keora just stood there looking stunned until Irina rediscovered her mouth that is.
" Well sure Bakura, but there isn't a dueling stadium around here," said Irina.
" Lets not duel for star chips. Lets just duel for fun," said Ryou.
" Sure that would be a nice change," said Irina and took out her deck.
" How about later tho. I'm tired and I think Keora's lost it," said Mazara as she jabbed her finger toward her still starring sister.
" Sure that would be fine," said Ryou.
Late that Evening
" Ray what're you doing? I mean you've been starring at that card for an hour, " said Mazara.
" Uh, oh just my favorite card," said Ray.
" So what is it?" asked Mazara. Keora was still fazed out, but had sat down on a log for a while.
" Promise you won't laugh?" asked Ray.
" Sure Ray, we won't laugh," said Mazara.
" My favorite card is Hope's Angel," said Ray. Suddenly Keora's head shot up and she looked at Ray oddly.
" I don't want to seem rude Ray, but why would you think we'd laugh?" asked Keora. Everyone looked at her amazed that she had finally talked.
" Cause Hope's Angel is not really a good offensive card it's more of a defensive guardian like card," said Ray.
" Well you all know my favorite card, well except for you Bakura," said Irina holding up Angel of Justice.
" Yes, a very strong card indeed," said Ryou.
" So Bakura, which card is your favorite?" asked Keora. Ryou looked at her and held of Change of Heat.
" This one is my favorite," said Ryou. Keora nodded and then seemed to faze out again.
" Be ware of the possessor of the ring," said the voice in her head.
" That's a strange picture," said Irina.
" Well when we have our duel, I will show you how it works," said Ryou.
" About the duel Bakura, I'm not feeling very well. Maybe Keora would take my place," said Irina and Keora nodded.
" Well OK," said Ryou and then looked at Mazara. " So, uh, what's your name?" asked Ryou.
" Mazara or Maze for short," said Mazara holding a card in front of her face.
" So Maze, what is your favorite card?" asked Ryou.
" Well I really don't have a favorite, but I do like this one," said Mazara and held up Protector of the Throne.
" That's a good defense card," said Ryou and Maze nodded.
" So Keora, what is your favorite card?" asked Ryou looking at the brown haired girl who was holding a card in her hand.
" Light Magician hands down," said Keora. She smiled and returned it to the top of her deck. Ryou looked confused when he heard her say Light Magician.
" I've never heard of that card is it very rare?" asked Ryou. Everyone around the fire laughed, well except for Ryou.
" Rare, it's one of a kind," said Ray and smiled at her friend. Keora nodded her head and smiled at Bakura.
" One of a kind!" exclaimed Ryou and fell off his log seat. This antic brought another round of laughter from the girls.
" Yes Bakura, one of a kind," said Keora as she walked over to him and helped him up.
" Hey you two there's a perfect dueling stage," said Mazara and Keora nodded. Mazara was pointing to a log. The eleven year old did have sense even if it came in spurts.
" Come on Bakura, lets duel," said Keora.
" OK, but before we duel there's something I want to share with all of you, and especially you Keora," said Ryou and started to hum and the Millennium Ring appeared.
" Freaky," whispered Ray and then suddenly they all were transported to the Shadow Realm.
" Finally after all these millennia the Diamond of Exodia is mine," said Bakura and tried to take the diamond from around Keora's neck, but it started to glow. " What's happening?!" yelled Bakura.
" You want my Diamond, then you'll have to take it from me," said someone that looked a bit like Keora. She had brown and purple hair though and was taller.
" Amara, it has been a while," said Bakura.
" Sorry Bakura, but's its Yama, not Amara," said Yama. She wore a white robe with a silver sash, silver boots, a crystalline headband and looked a lot like the Light Magician.
" But, I thought Amara was locked away in the diamond," said Bakura.
" Amara was locked in the staff," said Yama and suddenly Keora woke up and her eyes bugged out. She growled and suddenly Bakura noticed two wings on her back.
" I hate it when I'm deceived," said Keora her angel like wings blowing behind her like a cape. She looked at Bakura unblinkingly and suddenly walked over to Yama. " Get back in the diamond," said Keora. Yama looked at her obviously thinking the younger girl was crazy. " Get back in there before my sisters yami comes out," said Keora suddenly pointing at her sister. " She has the Exodia Cross," said Keora and she looked at Bakura. " I'm going to duel you," said Keora her wings glowing red.
" Yeah right, a girl's not going to win," said Bakura, but Keora smirked.
" I'm a Kaiba, don't be so sure," said Keora and crossed her arms and sat down by the tree stump. " Either you get a one on one or a one on four," said Keora. Bakura looked at Keora and smirked.
" What you willing to risk yourself and your friends?" asked Bakura. Keora smirked at him and Yama looked at him. " I'm not risking a thing," said Keora and Yama watched Bakura and her eyes softened a bit, but no one except Bakura noticed it.
" Yes, my sisters not risking a thing," said Mazara as she stood up her yami Zenda beside her. Zenda had dark hair and dark eyes and was short only about as tall as Yugi.
" Two Exodia items, now my victory will be even better," said Bakura. Suddenly a light appeared behind them and a girl appeared.
" Amara," said Yama, but Keora shook her head,
" No, that's Cynara, my twin," said Keora now knowing who the other girl was. Cynara nodded and a yami appeared behind her.
" Hello Amara," said Yama as she looked at the slightly taller yami.
" Hello sister," said Amara and looked at Bakura.
" See what she meant," said Zenda. Bakura just smirked and looked at them.
" Cross, Staff, and Diamond," said Bakura. Suddenly Keora started to glow.
" I won't let you take Bakura. I love him," said Keora. The others gasped at this outburst from the usually cold and serene girl. Suddenly a card appeared in her hands and it was blank.
" If your Ring can take souls from bodies. Then maybe my Diamond can put them back," said Keora pointing to Ray and Irina and suddenly Bakura turned back into Ryou.
" Keora thank you," said Ryou. Keora just shook her head and looked at him and then turned her eyes away from him.
" Don't thank me, thank my sisters," said Keora quietly. She couldn't believe it. She had never loved anyone, but Mazara and Ray and Irina and that was friend and sister love. This was so much deeper was she allowed to feel this?
So how did you like it? Strange how I changed it and all, but if I could have made the season that's how it would have happened. Stay tuned for chapter 6.
