Under the Mistletoe

Chapter Six - …How much I love you.

Tuesday, December 20 - Day 5 and counting down…

Yugi leaned back into the cushions of the couch as he relaxed in the living room of the house. Yami had brought him home from the hospital an hour earlier after the doctor said that he could go home. He still felt exhausted and just wanted to rest. He had tried to go and help his darker half in the game shop but the spirit told his light, in no uncertain terms, to go back to the couch and get some fucking rest.

The teen sighed as he pulled the blankets around his slight form and closed his eyes for a moment. He was shivering slightly because he was wearing his 'house bum' clothing at the moment. The baggy grey sweatpants were very comfortable, despite the fact that they were three sizes too big for the youth. However, the black t-shirt with the holes everywhere did not do much in the way of warmth. He yawned and rubbed his eyes as he felt himself beginning to fall asleep.

dream sequence…

"Look Yami, I don't have to listen to you! I love Yugi!"

"I don't trust you! Get away from my hikari!"

"You can't tell me what to do, Pharaoh. I do what I like and get what I want. And I want Yugi. He is an angel…"

"…you…you really love him…don't you?"

"Yes…I would do anything for him…"

Yugi looked up so he could see the people who were talking, but the figures disappeared in a flash of light. He looked around and saw that he was back in the hospital…but something was different. He saw Yami arguing with Malik about something and as he tried to get closer to hear what they were saying, he was hit with another flash of light.

This time, the duelist saw himself in a beautiful bedroom that was decorated in creams and lavenders. A huge bed was in the middle of if and for some reason, the teen felt drawn to it. He approached the bed slowly and realized that there was someone in it. The figure turned around and seemed to smile at Yugi even though he could not see the figure's face and body clearly.

"You…you came…" the figure replied softly, the tone silky smooth as the sheets on the bed. "I…I wasn't sure…"

Yugi climbed onto the bed and reached out to touch the figure shyly, marveling at the smoothness of the other boy's skin. "I didn't know I was going to be here…" the spiky haired boy said in an equally soft voice. "But…I'm glad that I am…"

The other boy leaned over towards the shorter teen and kissed him gently on the lips. After a few moments, the boy released Yugi from the kiss and ran a hand through the teen's hair. "So am I, little one…so am I…but…until we can be together in the real world, let me pleasure you here in the dream world…"

"What? What do you mean?" the diminutive teen asked as the blurred figure lowered his head and started kissing him on his neck. His hands wandered down the duelist's body until they found what they were looking for.

Yugi's eyes went wide as he felt the other boy's hands touch his hardening member. This was not something he was expecting, since he had never…EVER…been with anyone in his eighteen years of life. Just as he was about to say something, he felt something wet and warm surround his erection.

"Oooh…my…" the duelist moaned as the blurred figure began working his tongue over the long shaft. He never knew the sensations that could be brought about with a tongue on his manhood. His hands gripped the silk sheets of the bed when he felt like he was going to explode. Just as the explosion was imminent…

"YUGI! WAKE UP!" a male voice cried out, startling Yugi out of the most wonderful dream he has had since the whole 'Christmas Angel' thing began. Having to wake up so suddenly like that caused the short duelist to fall out of the couch with a loud thump onto the carpeted floor.

He moaned softly and rubbed his head as he sat up, trying to see who was in the living room with him. When his vision cleared, the teen saw a laughing Joey and Ryou covering his mouth. The silver haired teen was trying his best at not laughing at Yugi's predicament. The tri-color haired teen scowled for a moment before untangling himself from the blanket and sitting back on the couch.

"What do you want?" he grumbled, giving the two other teens a pout. "I was having a nice dream…"

Joey snickered and grinned. "I know…you were moaning…I didn't know ya had it in ya, Yugi…"

Ryou blushed and looked away. "Joey, please…let's tell Yugi why we are here."

"Oh alright, Ryou," Joey sighed and then grinned. "Ryou and I are here to take you to the arcade. Yami called us up earlier and asked us…no wait…he TOLD us to take you out somewhere and make sure that you don't drive your car."

Yugi raised an eyebrow at both boys. "Why can't I drive?"

The silver haired teen had a sheepish look on his face. "Well…Yami went to go get your car…"

"And someone had totaled it last night," the blonde boy finished. "I'm sorry, Yugi…you don't have a car anymore."

Yugi sighed and looked down onto the floor. "That was my first car," he whispered softly. "Grandpa gave it to me."

Not wanting to upset the petite teen further, the blonde duelist started talking. "Well…um…anyway, Ryou and I want to take you out to the arcade, get something to eat and go watch a movie. Yami also told us why you were in the hospital."

"I can't believe that Tea would act that way," Ryou replied softly, his soft brown eyes looked at the shorter teen with sympathy. "But since that is over…how about you get ready and we go out now? We promise to have you home at a decent hour."

"Oh come on, Ryou! We're gonna to meet Tristan and Duke at the arcade and you know that we are gonna be gone all day," Joey replied excitedly as he grabbed Yugi's arm and pulled the boy to his feet. "So, go get changed…nah, you keep what you got on, Yugi. It's not like we're gonna go to any place fancy…"

"But Joey…these are my house clothes…I don't go outside in these…" Yugi pouted, trying to convince the taller boy to let him change clothes. But by this time, Ryou had already gotten his boots and coat. Defeated, the boy with the tri-colored hair put on the boots and coat. "I'm not going to have fun…"

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Joey, I attack with Dark Magician," Yugi cried out, playing his favorite Duel Monster card. He giggled a little as he watched Joey's lifepoints drop down to 0. "I'm sorry, Joey…but you made me stay dressed like this so I had to get back at you somehow."

The blonde duelist grinned as he left the dueling arena with the shorter boy. "I suppose that I did have it coming, eh Yugi?" he remarked as he and his friend went back into the game area of the arcade.

Yugi watched his friends play games in the arcade and smiled. He knew that they all cared about him and just wanted him to feel better. This lifted his spirits up more but then grimaced as he felt his sweatpants start to fall down his hips.

"Joey, I'll be right back. I need to go use the bathroom," he said quickly as he rushed over to the nearest men's restroom. Once inside, he made sure that there wasn't anyone in there before he lifted up his shirt. Just as he was about to retie the string on his sweatpants, someone entered the bathroom. The duelist didn't even look up to see who it was as he pulled the sweatpants up higher on his hips.

"Oh, don't do that," a deep voice remarked, causing Yugi to stop what he was doing. He turned around to see a taller male with long, silvery hair that appeared to be much like Ryou's but a little spikier. "I was getting a nice view of your body, hikari of the Pharaoh."

The teen unconsciously started to back away from the spirit of the Millennium Ring. "What…what do you want, Bakura?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly. He knew that Bakura was a little crazy at times and being alone in the bathroom with the spirit creeped him out.

Bakura grinned at the teen duelist and licked his lips. "Oh, there are many things that I want, little Yugi, and you just happen to be one of them at the moment," he answered, his voice becoming husky. "Did you know that you look incredibly sexy in that outfit? Those pants just barely hanging onto your ass…and that shirt just makes you look so delectable. It just makes me want to…"

"Bakura! Get away from Yugi!" Joey yelled out as he rushed into the restroom. He immediately stood in front of his shorter friend and glared at the Tomb Robber. "If I ever hear ya bothered Yugi…I'll cream ya!"

The silver haired spirit laughed maniacally as he walked over to the blonde and stood mere centimeters away from the boy's face. "Look, mutt, it isn't like you could hurt me," he declared in a slightly crazed voice. He then shoved Joey away and advanced on poor Yugi. He grinned as he bent over and stole a kiss from the shorter teen, leaving the duelist panting for breath as he released the boy. "See? Even the little hikari liked my kiss, mutt." He laughed like a maniac as he left the bathroom.

This caused Joey to go into a rage and was about to rush through the bathroom door to confront the crazed spirit when Yugi grabbed his arm. He turned his head to look at the teen in confusion. "Let me go, Yugi," he exclaimed.

"Joey…please calm down…" Yugi pleaded, his hand gripping his friend's arm tightly and was trying to stay calm.

"But Bakura just HIT ON YOU! How can you be calm about that? That guy is insane!" Joey yelled as he was being held back by the shorter teen. "Not to mention, he KISSED you! How can you stand that?"

The amethyst eyes of the duelist stared up at his friend as he released his grip. "I don't know," he answered softly. "Let's just forget about it, okay? Anyway, I think that Ryou and the others will be wondering what is going on if we don't leave here soon."

Joey nodded slowly and sighed. "Ya know, I hope that Bakura isn't that 'Christmas Angel' dude," he remarked at the duo left the bathroom and headed back to their friends. "That would be creepy…"

Yugi laughed lightly and shook his head. "That it would…I still haven't figured out who it is. I feel like I should know who it is, but it keeps eluding me," he said regretfully. He brightened up as they approached their group of friends. He wasn't sure if he should tell them about C.A. or not…but then realized that they might be able to help him figure out who his secret admirer is.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The spiky haired teen sighed softly as he was sitting alone at a booth in the diner that was across the street from the arcade. He was getting a little hungry and needed some time by himself to think a few things over. He told Duke, Tristan, and Ryou about 'Christmas Angel' and they were all arguing over who it could be. When Seto Kaiba's name came up as a possibility, Joey went on one of his rants on how that could not be possible.

He was about to get up and leave when a waitress came over to him. "Can I get you anything?" she asked politely, her eyes seemed like they were smiling at him.

"I'll…I'll have a cup of coffee with cream and lots of sugar," Yugi ordered, smiling back at the girl. "And…can you also get me an order of fries? I'm a bit hungry."

"Sure thing, Hon," the waitress replied as she jotted his order down. She winked at him before going behind the counter to put the order in. A couple of minutes later, she came back with the cup of coffee and a carafe of the caffeinated beverage. She winked again before going off to help another customer.

'She's a little cute,' the young duelist thought to himself as he poured a lot of cream and sugar into the coffee. 'But…somehow, I just know that she just can't compare to C.A.' Just as he was about to take a sip of the hot drink, a tall dark haired boy entered the diner and walked over to him.

"Hi, Duke," Yugi replied as he took a sip from the coffee cup and set it back down on the table. "How's the arguing going on? Did you guys make any headway on who C.A. is?"

Duke shook his head as he sat in the booth with the youth, sitting right next to him. "No, we haven't yet," he admitted but then grinned. "But at least I get to talk to you alone for a few minutes before the rest come in here."

The young teen looked over at the emerald eyed boy curiously for a moment. "What do you want to talk about?"

The dice boy chuckled a little and placed a hand on Yugi's thigh for a moment before holding up a brightly wrapped box. "This," he answered slowly, his eyes raking in the shorter boy's form. "I know, it isn't much but I wanted to get you something. I was going to give it to you on Christmas…but since you have been getting nice little presents, I decided to get you this."

Yugi stared at the gift for a moment and then at Duke. "Why?"

Duke seemed to shift in the seat for a moment before looking slightly sheepish. "Because…because I like you. You are so innocent and nice…I like that," he explained as he removed his hand from the youth's leg. "I know that I don't have a chance with you, but I just wanted to do something nice for you. Um…uh…when the other's get here, tell them I had some business to do at my shop. I'll see you later." With that, the tall boy with dark hair and emerald eyes quickly left the booth and diner just as the waitress approached the table with the order of fries.

"Guy trouble?" the girl asked Yugi as she placed the fries in front of him. He just nodded silently as he began munching on the food. "Well, if it helps you any, I'm sure that everything will work out. Anyway, some guy just dropped this small box and asked me to give it to you."

Yugi looked up at the waitress and then at the small box she was handing over to him. He mumbled a thank you to her as she smiled knowingly and walked off to help others. Wanting to save that gift for last, he opened the one that Duke had just given to him. He smiled softly as he pulled out a pair of fluffy Dark Magician house slippers [1]. He didn't have any slippers to wear in the house and the floors could get quite cold at night. It was a thoughtful gift and planned on thanking his green eyed friend later.

He then looked at the small box that the pretty waitress handed to him. It was plain and unadorned, but there was an envelope taped to the top and once again, his name was written in the familiar calligraphy. The teen sighed dreamily, wondering what was going to be next in this latest gift. Deciding to open the envelope last, he took it off of the box. He lifted the lid and his eyes softened at what he saw.

Inside the box was a fine wooden plaque made out of cherry wood and mounted on it was a Dark Magician card [2]. But it was not an ordinary Dark Magician card. It was apparent that it was custom made because of the high quality paper that was used in its creation and the Dark Magician image seemed to spring to life. The image was vibrant in its colors and Yugi's amethyst eyes softened as he also noticed the real gold trim around the card itself. He caressed the card and plaque for a moment before setting it down on the table before picking up the envelope. He opened it slowly, not wanting to let the moment end. The teen finally had it open and pulled out a familiar looking piece of parchment and started reading the letter.

'Dear Yugi,

This gift may not seem much to you compared to the other gifts I have given you so far. But, I know how much you love anything and everything that involves the Dark Magician. It took me awhile to contact the best artist to create this gift for you.

It is something that comes directly from my own heart, my own soul. I asked the artist to make the Dark Magician in the image to look as real as possible and put the gold trim. The gold is how I think of you…something that is rare and precious. I would take care of you until the end of time…I would protect you until my own life is forfeit. You know of the song by Bryan Adams called 'Everything I do (I Do It for You)'? It spells it perfectly on how I feel for you. It is also my favorite song in this world…

I do not know what else to say than I love you. Words cannot even begin to truly describe how I feel for you. You are the Sun in my darkness…you light the way I walk, making sure that I will never stray from the path that leads to you. I do believe that our destinies are to be intertwined from now until the end of time.

I'm sure that you wish for another clue of my existence, of who I am. I wish that I could tell you outright, but you know that I cannot. Okay, here is my latest clue…I first saw you during the Battle City tournament. You did not see me until later…Have you figured out who I am yet? Remember, if you do, you still must wait until Seto Kaiba's party on Christmas Eve and wait for me under the mistletoe.

There are four more gifts until we meet, my love. Until then, I bid thee farewell…

Love with all of my soul,

Christmas Angel'

Yugi smiled gently at the letter and carefully folded it as he placed it in his coat pocket. C.A. knew the duelist very well and that actually thrilled him to no end. Usually, he would be wary of anyone like that, but this person…this person knew how to talk to him with written words. He was beginning to feel that he could truly trust this person, whoever he was…maybe even Malik.

He took another sip from his cup of coffee and stared out the window, watching the people rush by in their haste to buy presents for their loved ones. The spiky haired teen took a French fry and popped it in his mouth, savoring the taste of the greasy food. Just as he was about to eat some more, he saw someone across the street that was trying to catch his attention. It was Malik, waving a gloved hand at him. Curious, Yugi waved the Egyptian to come over to the diner and see what he wanted.

When the light blonde teen entered the diner, he immediately went over to Yugi's booth and sat across from him. His tanned face seemed to be flushed. Yugi thought that it was probably due to the cold weather as he smiled at the teen.

"What are you doing out, Yugi?" Malik asked as he took off his black biker's jacket and gloves, rubbing his hands together to keep them warm. "I thought that you were still in the hospital."

The tri-colored haired teen shrugged as he took another sip of coffee. "The doctor released me earlier this morning and Yami took me home," he explained as he got the waitress' attention. "Please get my friend here a coffee or a hot chocolate…"

"I'll have hot chocolate," the blonde Egyptian responded as the server smiled and winked at both boys as she left to get the new order. When she was gone, the boy looked at Yugi. "Why did that girl wink at me?"

Yugi blushed slightly and shrugged. "I don't know…but she seemed to be nice," he responded as the hot chocolate was delivered to the table quickly. "Anyway, what are you doing out in this cold weather, Malik?"

The teen in question drank his beverage swiftly and gazed into the duelist's amethyst eyes. "I'm trying to get some presents for Ishizu and my darker half, Marik," he answered, his own lavender eyes shone with amusement. "I mean, it's hard to get something for a girl who knows everything and an evil, crazy spirit who doesn't understand the meaning of kindness. By Ra, this is the most fun I've had in a long time!" He then started laughing.

The teen duelist chuckled softly and shook his head as he watched the Egyptian laugh crazily. "I suppose I know what you mean…I still have to find presents for my friends and think of something that C.A. may like. I mean, he's been giving me wonderful gifts and I just want to return the favor…but…I have no car."

Malik tilted his head to one side in curiosity. That made Yugi think of how adorable the blonde looked with his expression like that. "Why is that?" the Egyptian asked.

Yugi sighed and proceeded to explain to him what happened. "And now I don't have a car to go anywhere…I wish I knew who smashed into my car. It may not have been much, but it was a present from Grandpa."

The blonde appeared to be thinking for a moment before a crazed grin graced his tan face. "I know!" he exclaimed loudly, causing the other customers in the diner to stare at the two boys. "I'll pick you up tomorrow morning and we can both go present hunting. That stupid Pharaoh shouldn't object to that…"

"Yami isn't stupid, Malik!" the tri-colored haired teen retorted back, slamming his cup onto the table.

"Eh heh…sorry, Yugi," Malik replied, instantly sorry for his words. "So….if you come tomorrow, we can help each other out with gifts…"

Yugi thought about it for a moment and then nodded slowly. "Sure…I don't see any harm in that."

"Great!" the blonde youth exclaimed once more, making the people stare at him again. He noticed their stares and glared at them right back. "Stop staring at me, you fools, or I'll send you all to the Shadow Realm!" He began pulling the Millennium Rod out of his jacket but stopped when he saw the horrified look on Yugi's face. He put it away and then stood up from the table. "So, I'll see you tomorrow morning around ten o'clock, little one. It's a date!" He skipped away like someone who escaped from the loony bin, making Yugi sweatdrop.

'Oh gods…did I really just make a date with Malik? Yami is going to KILL me…'
