Malat awoke to hear the sounds of the desert, horses shrilling, camel's heavy breathing, and men talking in Arabic. She had missed this simple yet strange life style. She decided to change her American and Japanese clothes to traditional Bedouin clothing. The outfit was made of soft white silk that was very light on her.
She walked out the tent and walked around searching for Pharaoh. "Nice outfit," someone whispered in her ear. Malat followed her feminine instincts and slapped the person to find out it was her weird cousin, Geedar. "I am so sorry Geedar, I didn't know it was you!"
He got up and said, "I should have known that was coming." Malat looked and saw three other members of the tribe she smiled at them and told them to leave. Geedar left too. A girl who was wearing a veil and traditional female clothing walked up to Malat and took off the veil to reveal, her best friend there, Leila.
"It has been long my friend," she said as she handed Pharaoh to Malat. "I must get going now, I shall see you later Leila," Malat said as she got on top of Pharaoh and rode off to find her grandpa.
"Heh, heh, Malat you soon shall fall in my trap," Leila said evilly and quietly to herself. She walked on to a place where she could hide for the rest of the day until night.
Malat rode on until she saw her friends waving at her to stop. "Whoa Pharaoh," Malat said and the horse stopped. "Where have you been we have to go to duel now, you know," Kaitlyn asked. "I was looking for my grandpa, for your information," Malat said.
"Well, let's go dueling now okay," Amber said. Malat nodded her head and the rest followed her into the city. "Be careful you guys, there are pickpockets everywhere," Malat told them looking around until she saw someone waiting for them.
"Hm, Muhammad Al-Ahmar, I didn't know you were in this tournament," Malat snickered. A boy wearing Bedouin clothing, just like Malat, walked out of the alley. "Aw, Malat this tournament you brought your widdle friends. Good thing because I'm going to destroy you this tournament," Muhammad told her.
"You wish," Malat said. Muhammad looked at and then finally said, "Let's duel!" "Alright, let's duel. Let's make the stakes a little high, if you win I shall give you my goddess card, but if I win you shall go to the shadow realm where you belong," Malat stated. "Deal," Muhammad told her.
The two started to duel. Malat looked at her hand and saw Dark Hole, Baby Dragon, Ancient Elf, and Mystical Elf. Man, I need some good cards if I'm going to win this, Malat thought. "I place one card face down and than put this card face down in defense mode," Malat said as she placed down her Dark Hole and put her Mystical Elf in defense mode.
"Hmph, you are using defense ha, ha," Muhammad said, "Malat, I hope you don't go easy on me or I'll defeat you. I summon Darkfire Soldier #1 1700/1150, now my monster attack Malat's facedown monster!"
His monster attacked Malat's Mystical Elf, but it was destroyed. Malat smiled as his monster were destroyed. She drew another card; it was Gearfried the Iron Knight 1800/1600. "I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight and attack your life points directly," Malat said. They watched as Muhammad's life points dropped to 6200.
"I activate the magic card Toll, now we both have to pay 500 life points per a monster we have on the field to attack, and I activate this special summon magic card, it allows me to summon a monster with 6 or more stars to the field when I send my entire hand to the graveyard," Muhammad said, "Now I summon my monster *The Dark Star 2800/3000 in defense mode."
"Oh no! It's over now," Emily shouted. "What do you mean, Emily?" Yugi asked. "That card is strong and only one card in Malat's deck can destroy it," Emily said, "That card is Winged Nepthys."
Hearts of the cards, Millennium Pendant, please help me win this duel, Malat thought begging. She drew another card, but this time it was her favorite card, Winged Nepthys. "Yes! I use my favorite cards special ability that allows me to sacrifice all monsters on both fields to summon Winged Nepthys and now I pay 500 life points for her to attack your life points!" Malat shouted, "This duel is over."
"I forfeit the duel," Muhammad said. He was about to hand over his soul card when a figure appeared behind them. "Malat, you may have defeated my first servant, but you'll lose eventually!" the figure shouted, "Then I shall have you millennium item and your soul!" The guy fainted and Malat picked up the soul card and said, "Looks like he is already in the shadow realm."
The others looked at Malat she was very different now. She was showing her Arabian blood all right, the thirst for blood and to follow the laws of the desert.
