Vampire story

Chapter 7: Ryou's torture and the hunters' new friend

Tristen walked into the room he had Ryou in; Ryou was chained up against the wall his arm burned really bad from the sun. Ryou was looking a little panicked about the room he had been put in. There was a window right across form where he was chained up and the sun would hit that window with in the next half an hour or so.

"I see you have noticed the window there." Tristen smiled walking up to Ryou. Ryou didn't say any thing; just kept his eyes on the window. Tristen walked over to the other side of the room and sat in the only chair there watching Ryou watch the window.

Ryou's eyes widened as the sun started to hit it the first light hitting the tip of his finger. Ryou curled his hand up into a fist to keep the sun away from it a bit longer. Just as the sun was going to touch his hand again, it was cut off by a black curtain Tristen had put up there. Ryou sighed in relief and lowered his head relaxing a little bit.

"Don't relax yet vampire. I have a few questions I want to ask you." Tristen smirked at the glare Ryou gave him.

"You think I'm going to answer you?!" Ryou snapped. Tristen shook his head.

"Looks like you have forgotten your place already, vampire." Tristen opened the curtain again making the sun hit Ryou's hand burning the skin there to. Ryou screamed in pain and tried to pull his hand away. Tristen cut off the sun again.

"Now are you going to answer my questions? Or do I just leave this open and let you burn to a crisp?"

"Y-yes.I will answer you." Ryou said still trying to pull his hand out of the chain.

"Good, now how many vampires are there in this city?"

"I don't know." Ryou said looking up at him. Tristen glared and started to pull the curtain open again. Ryou gasped and struggled against the chains.

"I don't know! We never talk to other vampires because they hate us!" Ryou yelled.

"Alright, what did you mean when you said we?"

"M-me and my friends."

"I thought you said you didn't know any other vampires."

"I said we didn't. I live with my two friends."

"And their names?"

"I-I can't tell."

"Can't or wont?"

"I can't" Ryou hissed. Tristen glared at him.

"Fine, you want to act that way." Tristen pulled the curtain down letting the sun hit Ryou all over. Ryou screamed as the sun started to burn him all over. He struggled as much as he could but he just couldn't get free. Tristen smirked as he watched Ryou struggle as the sun burned him.

Yugi walked through the woods staying out of the sun when he could. He didn't know what he was going to do now, he hadn't been on his own in a long time. He was glad that he was able to go in the sun every now and then, unlike Ryou. Yugi couldn't figure that out but he guessed it was because when Ryou was human he had really sensitive skin and it burned real easily in the sun.

He on the other hand didn't burn as easily so he could go in the sun for a few minutes. It made traveling a bit easier. But he wished he had Malik's skin. He could go out day or night, he had grown up in Egypt so he was used to the sun. But he chose to go out at nighttime when Yugi and Ryou were awake so he could watch over them.

Yugi was about to start looking for a place to rest when he heard voices, and they sounded really close.

"Are you sure Tristen had a cabin around here?" One of the voices asked.

"I'm sure, he told me about it one time. He showed me a couple of pictures of it as well." The second voice asked. Yugi looked around for a place to hide. But was to late someone had just seen him.

"Hey Yami, isn't that the vampire from last night?" Marik asked. Yami looked over and saw Yugi staring wide-eyed at them.

"Yes I think it is." Yami answered and started walking toward Yugi. Yugi looked like he was ready to run away form them before Yami stopped him.

"Wait! I'm not going to hurt you I promise." Yugi looked at him still not saying a word. "Do you think you could help us? We're looking for your friend Ryou."

"Ryou?! What do you mean your looking for him?" Yugi asked glaring at them, if Ryou had escaped he wasn't going to help them get him back and he didn't know what made them think he would.

"He was taken this morning, we think we know who did it but we can't find him." Yami said and heard Bakura snort behind him.

"We know it was Tristen, we can't find him though." Yugi looked at them and swallowed before looking back at Yami, if he helped them he could see Ryou again. If he didn't he might not be able to find him because he didn't know what this Tristen guy looked like.

"A-alright.I'll help." Yugi sighed. Yami smiled at him and nodded.

"Alright lets g-" Yami's sentence was cut off when they all heard a blood- chilling scream cut through the trees. Yugi gasped and went tense.

"That's Ryou!" He took off running toward where the scream was coming from. Every one followed him. They came to a clearing where Yugi had stopped right before he ran into the sun.

"That's the cabin!" Joey said pointing. They heard another blood-chilling scream, Bakura looked like he had smoke coming out of his ears as he ran to the cabin and kicked in the door.

"Tristen I'm going to rip your heart out and make you eat it!" Bakura yelled as he ran into the room where Ryou was chained up. When he got in there, Tristen had already gone out the back way and left Ryou to be burned. Bakura gasped and ran to Ryou pulling on the chains trying to get him free. He pulled them right out of the wall and Ryou fell to the floor. He had stopped screaming now that he had passed out from the pain.

Yugi, Yami, Marik and Joey came running in to see if Ryou was all right. Bakura cradled Ryou in his arms as he looked at the little vampire. His skin burned from head to two. He heard Yugi gasp behind him and run over to them.

"Ryou." He reached out and touched his friends arm and hissed pulling his hand back as it burned him. A tear slipped down his cheek as he looked at his white haired friend. Bakura looked up at him.

"Will he be alright?" Yugi looked at him and was surprised to see sadness in his eyes.

"I don't know.He has never been burned this bad before." Bakura stood up still holding Ryou in his arms and took him in to the other room. He looked at Yami and the others. "

"Could you guys close the shades?" They nodded and closed all the windows as Bakura set Ryou down on the couch. Marik went into the kitchen and got a bowl of water and a cold cloth. He came back in and set it next to Bakura and stood back watching Bakura press the could cloth to Ryou's burns.

Ryou hissed in pain at first but started to relax as he felt the cold cloth on his arms, face and legs. Yugi stood back in a corner and watched as Bakura used the cloth to help Ryou; he had never seen a hunter act this way toward a vampire before. Maybe, just maybe all hunters weren't that bad. He thought as he glanced at Yami by the doorway.

Across the room Yami was watching Bakura and Ryou before his eyes shifted to Yugi who was standing in the corner. A small smile crossed his face; they would never have gotten here in time if they hadn't run into him. Maybe, just maybe all vampires weren't all that bad. He thought and his smiled widened.

Tristen cursed as he drove his car down the dirt rode, those idiots always got in the way. If they hadn't shown up he could still be watching the vampire in pain.

"So you like seeing vampires in pain?" A voice said from behind him. Tristen spun around to see who was there. He almost feel over when he saw a vampire there; but not just any vampire, oh no. It was the only vampire of its kind, the king of vampires.

"I am sure you know who I am?" He asked, Tristen nodded and started to back up.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to eat you." He smiled. "I know you already know who I am, but I always like to introduce my self any way. I am Pegasus the king of all vampires. And you Tristen are going to be my new servant." Tristen's eyes widened, he was going to change him into a vampire?!

"No, I need a new human slave every few years of so. And you are the new one I have chosen. Now come with me, and I will show you what I want you to do."

"What's in it for me?" Tristen asked.

"You get to keep your life."

"That is a plus, but what else do I get?"

"How about the deaths of the hunters that ruined your plans?" Tristen smirked and nodded.

"You have your self a deal. I do have one question though."

"What is it?"

"I know human's can become vampires but."

"Can vampires become human? Yes if they want it enough there is a way. I shall tell you that latter though." With that Pegasus took Tristen's arm and they disappeared though the shadow realm.

^_^ Tristen is getting into BIG trouble! Not that he doesn't deserve it. Ok as your probably guessed Bakura is starting to have strong feelings for Ryou. Well I hope you liked this chapter. Next one should be up soon.I hope. My cousin is coming this week and I have no clue when. So that is just another person I have to share my computer with *sigh* so it might be a little while.
