Chapter 13: Secrets revealed

Malik, Yugi, Yami, Bakura, Marik, Seto and Joey stood just inside the woods that surrounded Pegasus's castle. They didn't have that hard of a time finding it thanks to Yugi. He had remembered where it was from the last time he was here.

"Never thought I would be back here again." Yugi said hoping his fear didn't show in his voice. He tried to hide his hands so no one would see them shaking, but Yami did. Yami up a hand on Yugi's shoulder.

"It's alright little one. We just have to get in their find Ryou and get out." Yami said to reassure the little vampire. As much as Yami wanted to do more in there, like kill Pegasus he knew getting Ryou out of there was much more important.

"Alright Yugi, you are the one who has been here before. Where do you think they are keeping Ryou?" Marik asked turning to look at his friend. Yugi looked thoughtful for a moment.

"I don't know, I was only there a year and they didn't let me out of my room very often…" Yugi said lowering his head.

"That place is so big, we can't just go in there and look there is go great a chance we will be caught." Bakura said and punched a tree. Marik put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry we'll get Ryou out of there safely. I know how you feel about the little one." Marik said. Bakura looked at him.

"And how do you know what I feel?"

"Because I feel it to." Marik looked over at where Malik was talking with Yugi and Yami. "And I am sure Yami feels the same thing for Yugi. It's not a feeling any of us can explain, but it is there."

"They trusted us so easily…" Bakura said looking at Marik who nodded.

"Who was the last person you knew to do that besides me and Yami?" Marik asked. Bakura couldn't even remember, it had been so long.

Seto watched as Bakura and Marik talked while Malik, Yugi and Yami were trying to come up with a plane of where they could start looking for Ryou. Seto looked up at the castle and sighed, there was no way they were going to make it in there find Ryou and get out with out someone seeing them. And with how loud Joey could be when doing stuff like this it wouldn't take long. Seto blinked when he realized he didn't see Joey anywhere. He looked around but couldn't find any sign of the blond.

"Did any one see where Joey went?" Seto asked. Every one looked at him and then looked around realizing as well that their friend was gone.

"Damn that stupid idiot!" Bakura cursed. "He is going to get us caught!"

"Calm down Bakura, even Joey isn't that stupid to be seen by a castle full of vampires." Marik said calming his friend. They all turned when they heard a twig snap. Joey was standing there.

"Where the hell were you?" Seto asked. Joey looked at him and then pointed.

"There's a way in over on the side of the castle. Only one vampire it guarding it so it will be easy for us to get in." Joey said.

"Hold on their blond boy! You don't' have an strategic bone in your body, so how in the hell did you just come up with that?" Bakura snapped.

"Would you believe me if I said I got lost and found it?" Joey asked and smiled.

"No, not really even if it dose sound like something you would do. But we can talk about this later lets just get in there." Bakura said and started walking the way Joey had pointed.

Ryou was lying on the bed, blood pooling around his hips. He had woken up a few minutes ago and tried to move, but every time he did a starburst of pain would shoot up his back. Ryou lay there crying not knowing what to do. If he were still a vampire he would be able to handle this pain, because it would be healed enough with in a few minutes that he would be able to get up and walk so he could get out of here. But now that he was human he had to live with it.

"Why did this have to happen to me?" Ryou wondered out loud. More tears came when he thought of what had happened just half an hour ago. Ryou had done something that no other human had done before, or vampire for that matter. Ryou had kept his virginity for over 120 years. That was partly because Ryou had never been interested in any one in that way. But now he couldn't say that any more, because it had been stolen.

Thinking about this only made Ryou feel more depressed. He sat up on the bed despite the pain that ran though his entire body.

"I have to get out of here." Ryou said and stood up. But as soon as he was standing his legs gave out from underneath him and he crumbled to the floor. Ryou cursed softly and curled up into a tight ball waiting for the pain to stop. But he knew it wouldn't. He knew it would take a long time for the pain to heal.

Ryou looked up at the door and sighed as he sat up slowly. It wasn't that far away, but with the pain in the lower half of his body it was starting to seem further away. Ryou stumbled to his feet and used the wall to keep himself up right. He reached the door and took a deep breath before he reached out to open it. Just as Ryou was about to open the door it burst open knocking Ryou back to the floor. Ryou let out a cry of pain hen his lower body landed hard on the floor.

"So, you are the little human Master Pegasus had captured. Is it true you were once a vampire?" The vampire that opened the door asked. Ryou looked up at him but didn't say any thing. "Are you going to answer me?" The vampire asked. Ryou still didn't say any thing. Now the vampire was starting to get really annoyed. He reached out and grabbed Ryou by the neck and lifted him up.

"You do know you are supposed to answer a question when on is asked to you." The vampire growled and threw Ryou over onto the bed. "I'm sure Master Pegasus wouldn't mind if I take a little taste. I haven't had any thing to eat in a couple of nights." He said and walked over to the bed and pinned Ryou down. Ryou's eyes went wide when he felt the vampire lay on top of him. Flashes of what Pegasus had done to him not to long ago flashed in his head. Ryou started to struggle; he didn't want that to happen again.

"Hold still you little brat!" The vampire hissed. Ryou didn't listen to him and continued to struggle.

"No, please let me go. Please." Ryou pleaded. The vampire lowered his head to Ryou's neck and bit down sharply. Ryou whimpered and tried to push the vampire off of him, but as the vampire continued to feed off his blood Ryou felt himself growing weaker. Ryou soon lost consciousness, his last thought before every thing went black was of Bakura and how he wished he were here.

Joey led the others through the mazes of the dungeons below the castle. The others followed hoping Joey knew where he was going. Seto on the other hand had a feeling Joey was hiding something, and he was going to find out what it was. Many things about Joey confused him. Like how Joey was immune to a vampires bite, Seto had looked it up in the Internet one time and he had found out that there were no records of someone who was immune to a vampires bite. But Seto had seen Joey get bitten by vampires a few times, and Joey was still here.

"Witch way now Joey?" Yugi asked when he saw two doors in front of them. Joey stood there for a moment with his eyes closed. He opened them and pointed to the right door.

"This way." Joey said and opened the door. There was a set of stairs leading up to the first level of the castle. "Alright, once we get up there we shouldn't have to much trouble. It's night time so most of the vampires are either busy in their rooms, or out hunting." Joey said and started up the stairs but Seto stopped him.

"Hold it right there puppy." Seto snapped. Joey stopped and turned to look at him. "I want to know how you know so much about this place." Seto glared at him.

"Seto now is not the time." Yami said. "We can talk about this once we get Ryou out of here."

"Don't you find it just a little strange how Joey knows his way around like he has been here before?" Seto asked now glaring at Yami.

"Yes, I do find it strange. But like I said, we can talk about this later." Yami glared back at him and nodded to Joey and they started up the stairs. Seto stayed at the bottom still glaring. Yugi was about to follow the others but stopped and looked at Seto. They both stood there for a couple minutes looking at each other.

"What?!" Seto finally snapped making Yugi jump. He hadn't realized he had been staring.

"Nothing…" Yugi said quietly and was about to start walking up the stairs when a vampire jumped out from the shadows and grabbed Yugi. Yugi screamed in surprise and struggled. Seto stood there confused for a moment as the vampire stood up holding Yugi.

"Well, well, well. My little toy has come back to me." The vampire whispered in Yugi's ear. Seto watched as Yugi's eyes went wide and he stopped struggling and started shaking. "I see you remember me my little toy." The vampire said and nipped at Yugi's ear.

"Let him go!" Seto growled at the vampire. The vampire looked at him and laughed.

"You think you can stop me by your self?" The vampire laughed.

"He's not by himself." They turned to look at the steps and saw Joey standing there. "Let him go Atsu!" Joey snapped. Atsu smiled at him.

"Well, now this is a surprise. I get both of my toys back in one night!" Atsu said with a big grin on his face.

"I am not your toy, I never was and never will be either!" Joey snapped. Atsu shook his head.

"Joey, or should I say Jou? You were always in denial of who you belonged to."

"I belong to no one! Now put Yugi down!" Joey snapped. The whole time Joey was arguing with Atsu Seto had snuck up behind him with a stake.

"Or what? You think you can really stop me?" Atsu chuckled. "That is funny Jou, you were always good for a laugh."

"He can't stop you, but I can!" Seto plunged the stake through the vampires back right into his heart. Atsu dropped Yugi to the floor and Joey picked him up moving away from the dieing vampire. Seto stepped over him and walked over to the other two.

"You alright Yugi?" Joey asked him Yugi nodded he was still shaken up after what had just happened.

"Where are the others?" Seto asked.

"I told them where they should be able to find Ryou and they went on ahead. I came back to see what you two were up to." Joey said and set Yugi down.

"Joey, I think you have some explaining to do." Seto said and looked at the pile of ashes that was once Atsu.

"Your right, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep this from you guys to much longer after Pegasus showed up again." Joey sighed and closed the door to the steps. "What have you figured out so far?" Joey asked.

"I know that there is no such thing as a person immune to vampire bites." Seto said. "And I also know that you had to have lived here for a long time to know your way around so well."

"You are right about both of those. I am not really human."

"Then what are you?" Seto asked.

"I don't really know. Something between a vampire and a human." Joey said and sighed. "I was once a vampire, Atsu found me one night after my father had beaten me up. He changed me and took me in. I thought it was cool at first, but then he started coming into my room at night and…" Joey trailed off and looked down at Yugi who was shaking again. "He raped me. Every night for almost three years." Joey said looking up to meet Seto's blue eyes.

"The last year I was here he would only come to me once in a while. I am guess that was when he found Yugi. One night I found out about the dungeons and went to go look at them. That is how I found my way out. After that I was a free vampire. Until one night I found someone who was immune. I didn't know it at the time so I killed that person."

"And you took their place?" Seto said.

"Sort of. You see when a vampire drinks the blood of someone who is immune to their bite, the do sort of become human. They look, act, and fell human and they can even age as one. But I can guarantee you that any one who is immune to a vampires bite was once a vampire them selves."

"So once they become immune to a vampire bite they can't go back to being a vampire?"

"Nope."

"I underestimated you Joey. You are a lot stronger then I ever gave you credit for." Seto said. Both of them had even forgotten Yugi was still in the room. Until Yugi tugged on Joey's sleeve.

"I think we should go find the others and get out of here." Yugi said. The other two nodded and opened to door to go up stairs.

Bakura was starting to get really annoyed. They had checked most of the rooms down this hallway, most of them were empty. And there was still no sign of Ryou. He saw a door at the end of the hallway.

"Lets try that one." Marik said. Bakura nodded and they ran down the hall and opened the door. Malik and Yami were right behind them. Bakura and Marik growled at what the saw, and Malik gasped and a hand went up to his mouth. He thanked whatever god was listening that Yugi wasn't here to see this.

Bakura quickly took out his crossbow and put a stake on it. He aimed and fired at the vampire that was on top of Ryou raping him. The vampire screamed and fell off of the unconscious boy. He hissed at Bakura.

"You kisama! I'll…kill you…" The vampire said and turned to ashes.

"Kinda hard to kill someone when you are dead." Marik said. Bakura ran over to Ryou and picked him up. There was blood all over Ryou's hips and the bed. There was also blood coming from his neck.

Malik grabbed a clean blanket and handed it to Bakura who wrapped Ryou up in it. Ryou whimpered and tried to curl up into a tight ball.

"Ryou, come on little one wake up." Bakura said and brushed some hair out of Ryou's face. Ryou shivered and cracked open an eye. He smiled weakly at Bakura before loosing consciousness again.

"We have to get him out of here!" Yami said from the door. The others nodded and were about to leave when three people appeared in the door.

"I don't think you are going any were." Tristan said standing on Pegasus's right, and Tea on his left. Pegasus chuckled.

"I think you should hand over my toy now." Pegasus said looking at Ryou. Bakura held him closer.

"There is no way you are getting him!" Malik said and stood in front of Bakura and Ryou, Marik stood be side him.

"How very amusing, but I am afraid your time is up." Pegasus said and smiled. "It appears your other friends have decided to join us." Pegasus looked over to the other door in the room just as it burst open. Seto, Joey and Yugi came running in. Yugi stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Pegasus standing there.

"Well hello Yugi boy. I haven't seen you in almost 70 years. I was so upset when I found my toy ran away." Yami glared at Pegasus and charged, he would have hit him, if Tristan hadn't blocked him.

"To get to him, you have to go through me."

"With pleasure." Yami and Tristan fought. Marik decided to go after Tea while Yami was busy. Bakura handed Ryou to Malik and turned glaring at Pegasus before he charged. He would pay for hurting Ryou, and every one else he loved.

And so the fight that would determine who was stronger hunters or vampires began.

Okay, I made this chapter longer for all you people who have been reviewing ever sense I started this story. To tell the truth I didn't think that many people would like it.

This fic was only going to be a couple of chapters. But after the first chapter people seemed to be really liking it. I thought about just stopping this story many times, and then I would get a review begging me to continue it. And so I have. All the way up to chapter 13. I am sorry to say that chapter 14 is going to probably be the last chapter to this story. But you people have a choice. I think I might already know the answer but.

Should I do a sequel to this fic? The last chapter to this fic should be up either later today. Or tomorrow. Ja ne!
