'Amy sighed happily as she sat cuddled up to Yami over at his place that Saturday evening. Everything seemed so perfect now. Her and Yami were a couple. She felt…happy….I think…

'"What are you thinking about?" Yami whispered in her ear as he nuzzled her neck lightly.

Amy shrugged and turned her head and brushed his lips with her own. "What ever happened to Tea and Bakura?"

'Where that thought came from was beyond her.

Yami shrugged. "He got what he was after and moved on."

Amy looked at him wide-eyed. "Tea didn't seem hurt or anything."

'"Did it maybe occur to you that she was only after one thing as well?"

Amy blinked. Tea? No way. But it had to be true! The girl was as happy as ever!

'"How is the new girl fairing out?" Yami asked, changing the subject.

Amy shrugged. "Fine. She's really nice. She's coming out with us later on tonight."

Yami nodded before leaning down and capturing her lips in a soft kiss. Amy sighed against his mouth and deepened it. Her hand slid slowly up his chest and up around his neck.

'Just then Yami's cell rang. He groaned in annoyance before reaching in his pocket and pulling it out. He flipped it open and barked a hello.

'"Huh….what? Whoa! Is she alright?"

Amy immediately became concerned, fearing the worst. "What happened?"

'"Uh, hold on. Tea fell down a flight of stairs." Yami told her.

Amy gasped. "Oh my god! Is she alright?"

Yami nodded. "She broke both her legs though."

Amy's hand flew to her mouth in shock, getting up from the couch.

'"Where are you going?"

'"I need to go see her. What hospital is she in?"

'"Hold on and I'll take you."

Rei locked up her car and walked slowly into the school the following Monday. Everyone was on the disturbed side over what happened to their friend. The thing that shook them up the most was the fact that Tea claimed that someone had pushed her. And the last person to see her was Serenity. Because of that Tea had looked at Serenity with an accusing look. Snapping something about Bakura but it didn't make sense and the nurse had ushered them out of the hospital room for upsetting her and they never got the chance to ask. Tea had refused to see them Sunday as well. But who could blame her? Her legs were broken she was stuck in a wheel chair until she could walk again. Which meant that she wouldn't be returning to school this year.

Rei shook her head and sighed. In a way she was glad it wasn't her that that had happened to, she wouldn't be able to stand it. But she was bugged by what Tea meant when she mentioned Bakura in an accusing tone, staring directly at Serenity who had looked on the guilty sighed.

'She wanted to have a little chat with Serenity and find out what the hell was going on and why Tea would think that she had pushed her down the stairs. Serenity certainly didn't seem capable of such violence. It just didn't make sense! Especially since Serenity was becoming so close to Mai and Tea.

'"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Kaiba asked as he fell in step with her, taking her hand.

'"Just about what happened this weekend."

Kaiba nodded thoughtfully before squeezing her hand in reassurance. "Everything's gonna be fine."

'"I know." The raven-haired girl replied with a smile

' Lunchtime rolled around and Rei caught up with Serenity and pulled her aside. "Come for a walk with me?"

'"Yeah sure." Serenity replied with a nod.

'The two girls walked outside and barely took two steps outside the doors when a voice called out.

'"Hey! Wait up!" Amy called, running down the hall. "Where are you two going?"

'"I wanted to talk to her for a minute. You can come if you want." Rei replied with a shrug.

'"Alright, it's better than watching everyone gulp down that slop they call food." Amy shrugged.

'The three girls walked for a few minutes in silence before Rei decided to speak up. "Can you tell me what happened?"

'"What do you mean." Serenity asked. "There's nothing to say. We hung out and I went home. That's all."

'"What was Tea talking about in the hospital? When she mentioned Bakura."

'"Oh..that…" Serenity mumbled, bushing.

'"You like him don't you!" Amy piped up.

'"Well, sort of. I just find him really hot and I had told her that she was lucky when she told me about when they were sort of dating. I guess I had a bit of jealousy leaking through my tone because she had gotten all defensive and a little weird and then accused me of thinking she was a whore!" Serenity admitted in frustration.

'"Why would she think that?"

'"I don't know. I'm guessing that it was the tone of my voice." Serenity shrugged. "We kinda left it like that and I headed home. Then I get a call fifteen minutes later saying that Tea had fallen down a flight of stairs."

'Both Rei and Amy were silent over this, trying to contemplate everything.

'"I didn't do it! You have to believe me!" Serenity cried, grabbing the two girls by their arms.

'"Hey! Calm down and don't get all grabby!" Amy said, pulling her arm away. "We aren't accusing you of anything. There isn't any proof that you did it."

'"She's right." Rei said with a nod. "Just relax. I just wanted to know what Tea was talking about."

Serenity nodded and visibly relaxed, though she was still quite a bit tense over the whole ordeal.

'"Come on, let's go eat. I'm starving." Rei said with a smile, linking her arms with the two girls and lead them back to the school.

'"So, uh, what did you bring today?" Amy asked.

Rei groaned and rolled her eyes. "You are such a mooch!"

'

Rei groaned in complete disgust and kicked the front left tire of her car. "I pay how much for you and you pull this crap!?" She screeched at the car.

'The raven-haired girl had been trying for the past 15 minutes to get her car to start but was failing miserably. She couldn't believe it! She had the car for less than a year and already it was doing this!

'She yanked her door open forcefully and slumped down on the seat. She reached for her purse and took out her cell.

'"Something wrong?" A smooth masculine voice asked.

Rei snapped her head in the direction of the voice and found Malik leaning against her car.

'"What are you still doing here?" She asked.

Malik shrugged. "Detention. What's wrong?"

'"My hunk of shit won't start." She growled, banging her fist on her steering wheel.

'"Try and start it."

Rei did as told and tried to start her car for the hundredth time.

'"Well, it's not the battery, it just won't roll over…" Malik stated thoughtfully. "Pop the lid."

'She reached down below and pulled the knob to pop the lid and watched the sandy blonde head disappear on the other side.

'She climbed out and walked around to observe what he was doing. He checked the oil, the lines and other pieces of the vehicle until shrugging and straightening up.

'"You're gonna have to call a tow truck and tow it to a shop. I can't figure out what's wrong."

Rei sighed and stared at the ground. "Thanks anyways."

Malik whipped off his hands and observed her through bright lavendar eyes. He unclipped his cell from his belt loop of his khaki shorts and quickly called the tow truck.

'"Leave your car and come with me."

Rei blinked at him and could only nod. She grabbed her purse and anything else she needed and locked up her car.

' As they pulled out of the school parking lot in Malik's black Lancer Evolution, Rei turned her attention to him.

'"Thanks. But, where are we going?"

'"Where do you want to go?" Malik asked with a smirk. "Are you needed anywhere?"

'"Not that I know of.." She trailed.

'"Alright." He shrugged.

'They sat in silence as Rei stared out the window, stilled teed over her car. Finally she frowned in confusion when she didn't quite recognize their surroundings.

'"Malik, where are we going?"

'He just smirked and shrugged. "Hungry?"

'"I guess…" She trailed looking at him searchingly.

'Her heart fluttered at the sight of him. She immediately felt guilty. She was with Seto and another guy was making her heart flutter. It didn't matter if she's been in love with him since god only knows. She was still with someone else and she still felt guilty about what happened in McDonalds.

'"What? Don't you trust me?" Malik chuckled as he glanced over.

'"It's not that…"

'They were silent again until they pulled into a restaurant out of town. Just as they were getting out Malik grabbed her purse.

'"Hey-" Rei started but stopped and stared at him in confusion as he dug through her purse.

'"Now's not the time to see if I have any money, fool!"

'He gave her a look that said just shut up and pulled her cell phone out and turned it off and tossed it into the back.

'"What are you doing?" Rei asked in alarm. "Malik, if you're going to kill me and throw me in the ditch then don't you think that my cell being in your car is a dead giveaway?"

'"Very cute, get out."

'"No way! How do I know that you're not going to leave me here?! We did drive out of the city you know!" Rei stated stubbornly.

Malik sighed and rolled his eyes. He climbed out of the car and walked into the restaurant without looking back.

'Rei sighed. What was this boy up to? Why did he bring her all the way out here? She climbed out of the car and followed him inside.

'She stood in the doorway and looked around the restaurant until she spotted him in a booth next to a window looking at a menu. She shook her head and smiled as she walked over and sat down across from him.

'"We came all the way out here so we could eat? And you had to get rid of my cell phone for that?" She chuckled.

'A smirk drew upon the blonde head's lips as he read over the menu and looked up at her. "Yeah? You're good at stating the obvious."

Rei rolled her eyes and sighed as she picked up her menu. "Is this place any good?"

'"I'm not sure. I've never actually eaten here before."

'"Why did we come all the way out here Malik?" Rei asked at last as she studied his expression and getting nothing.

'"What's wrong with leaving town to have a meal? You don't like me?" Malik asked with a lopsided grin.

Rei's heart flipped over. God…he was so goddamn sexy! Did he really know how incredibly sexy he was? She wanted him.

'She mentally slapped herself before grinning back. "Of course I do…sometimes."

Malik laughed and gave her a killer grin before looking at his menu again.

'After a few minutes of looking they finally decided on two clubhouse platters.

Rei clasped her hands on the table in front of her nervously. It was obvious that these feeling for him were never going to go away. Kaiba was great….but…he just wasn't him.

'She stared at her hands, falling into thought when a finger slid sensually over her right hand. She raised her raspberry eyes to meet bright lavendar ones. She felt herself beginning to fly slightly as she stared into the never-ending depths of his eyes.

Malik drew slow circles on her hand, traveling up over her wrist and onto her arm where he gently grasped and pulled her forward across the table.

'"Ahem."

'Startled. Rei drew away and straightened up in her seat.

'"Are you ready to order?" The waitress asked.
