"Hi this is Hikaru Dark Sanctuary doesn't own Yugioh or Hikaru No Go. Dark Sanctuary has never played Go this game play was made possible by

For this fic a 9 x9 board is being used . Bottom row of board is A- J and left side of board 1-9. Hope you enjoy this chapter."


Basic Rules of Go.

Stones that can be removed with one more move are said to be in "Atari".
Double Atari
sEscape-Stones can Escape if the same color is placed next to it.
Captured- Stone that is surrounded by the opposite color is captured and removed from the board.
Prisoner-Stone that is captured and counts as one point.
Dan- Top Status of Go Players- Dan 1 lowest Dan higher Dan means stronger player.
Kyu-the smaller the Kyu rank the stronger the player.
30 Kyu is the lowest amateur rank ( usually)
Board size 19 x 19 , ( 9 x9 is used for beginners)



"Hey Seto me and Mokuba are going to use the little duelists room before Hikaru and Akira's match starts and then go pick up some snacks," Jou said as he and Mokuba got up from their seats.
"Wait a second I'll go with you," Kaiba said as he picked up the empty food containers in front of him in order to throw them away.
"Yami-Kun come on and put your things in your backpack we need to hurry and get back before the match starts," Kaiba said to Yami.
"Kaiba but I don't need to use the little duelists room," Yami whinned.
**Really you don't that's hard to believe** (Imagine lots of liquid being consumed by Yami I mean tons of it and Kaiba having to hear things like. "But Kaiba-san it's my destiny to get that blue ICEE." )
"Well your coming with us anyway, you can't stay here by yourself so get up and let's go," Kaiba said tapping his foot.
"But Kaiba-san I wanna stay here, " Yami whinned.
"You know why you can't be alone so get your Pharaoh butt out of that chair now," Kaiba said causing Yami to jump up at the sudden harsh tone in Kaiba's voice.
"I'm sorry Yami-Kun it' just I promised your Grandpa that I'd watch over you and well....," Kaiba said as he took Yami's hand in his.

(30 minutes later there's a line too lol.)

**I knew he had to go that Yami could be so stubborn sometimes** Kaiba thought to himself as Yami squirmed in front of him.
**Oh Ra why is there a line I thought the little girls duelist rooms were the only ones who had lines, Pharaohs don't wait in lines** Yami thought to himself as he squirmed even more.
The whole scene was quit comical really, I mean it wasn't everyday that you saw the Pharaoh perform the potty dance.

"Yami it's your turn," Kaiba said pointing to the newly opened stall.
Without hesitation the former Pharaoh ran like a BEWD was on his tail and locked the door behind him causing Kaiba to almost bust up laughing.

( 10 minutes later)

"Better," Kaiba asked as Yami washed his hands at the sink. "Come on let's go Mokuba and Jou are at the concession stand, " Kaiba said as he threw the paper towel in the trash.

"So what should we get," Mokuba asked as he looked at the menu.
Fifteen minutes later the four of them had an extra large pepperoni and pineapple pizza ( my favorite) a large nachos and four large sodas as they made their way back to their seats and just in time too as the announcer started to announce the long awaited match between Hikaru and Akira and Hajime and Hideki.

"Ladies and Gentlemen the event that you've all been waiting for is about to begin," the announcer said as the four go players took their seats at the table.

After a quick match of rock, paper,scissors, lizard, spock it was decided that Hikaru and Akira would be white. ( I'm a big bang theory fan.)
"Go," they all said in unison.

"I'll go first," Hajime said as he gracefully placed the first black stone at E5.
"Well I guess it's my move now," Akira said as he reached into the bowl of white stones. Akira then made an attack at E4 before sitting back in his seat.
"Hmm lets see I think I'll play here," Hideki said as he placed his black stone at D4 blocking the E4 stone on it's left side.
**Well looks like this is the best move right now, ** Hikaru thinks to himself as he places the white stone at D5.


"Go Hikaru and Akira-san," Yami and Mokuba yelled with as they jumped up and down with excitement. ( Might have to do with some cotton candy effects)
"Yeah Kick their Ass, " Mokuba and Yami yelled causing Jou to laugh and Seto to glare at his younger brother.
"Er I mean just beat them and win, " Mokuba yelled out.



Hajime then placed his next stone at C4 while Akira countered by placing a stone at D6.
** I guess I'll move here, "Hideki thought as he set the black stone on E6. Hikaru then extended the Akira D6 stone by placing his stone at D7.
"Hajime......., " Hideki whispered getting a nod from his partner. Hajime then set black on F4 causing an Atari on the white stone at E4.
**All I can do is this** Akira thought to himself as he placed his stone at E3.


"Yami your going to fall so get down from there," Kaiba yelled at the former Pharaoh who had climbed on the rail in order to get a better look.
"I'm being careful I can see alot better from up here, " Yami yelled back much to Kaiba's dismay.
"Come on Yami if the official see's you we're going to get kicked out do you want that," Kaiba asked?
'Well just watch out from them," Yami called back out causing Jou to laugh.
"Don't encourage him Pup," Kaiba said.
"Well let's see what Solomon has to say about this," Kaiba said as he grabbed his cell phone and began dialing numbers.
"Nooooooo, " Yami screamed as he quickly got down off the rail pouting. ( Lets just say that Solomon could be very scary when he wanted to be.)



"I guess I'll place it here, " Hajime said as he placed his stone at F3. While Akira placed his next stone at E2.
Hideki then placed a black stone at C2, as Hikaru placed another white stone at F5. Hajime then made his move at F6 gettting an Atari on F5. Akira then placed another stone at G5 escaping the Atari.
The match continued for another long and painstaking hour until the last moves were being made...

"I place this," Hajime said as he slammed the stone at A4.
"Here I go take this," Akira said as he swiftly laid his stone at E9.
"Ha interesting," Hideki said as he placed a stone at F9 thus capturturing the two white stones at F7 and F8.
**Damn** Hikaru thought as he contemplated his next move.


"Hikari I know you're going to win this Game, you have to win this game," Yami yelled out causing Hikaru to give a thumbs up.
Hikari then made a connection by placing a stone at D9. Hajime then followed the move by placing a stone at A5 gaining yet another Atari at B5.
** This isn't looking good or wait we're going to be ok** Akira thought to himself as he connected the last white stone to B6 thus ending the game.

The referee tallied up the score black had 7 points and white had 16 points. "And our winners of this tag team match is the white team with a winning score of 9 points," the referee said as he handed Akira and Hikaru their trophies and a check for $10,000 each.

Akira and Hikaru rang the doorbell to Kaiba's mansion at around 8pm. "Welcome the boys are in the living room, I'm just about finishing up a nice light snack for you guys," Cassie said as she went back to the kitchen.
"Hey Akira," Jounouchi said as he got up from the couch to shake Akira's hand. "Nice to meet you Jounouchi," Akira said. Just then Cassie walked in with a tray of sliced veggies and fruits with dipping sauces and bottled waters.
"Thanks Cassie but where's the potato chips, " Jou asked? "Jounouchi-san it's my job to make sure you boys eat healthy and besides I'm sure you ate plenty of junk food at the tournament," Cassie said smiling.

"Pup don't bother Cassie about chips," Kaiba said as he walked into the room. " Thanks Cassie," Kaiba said. " Well I'll be going out now so you boys behave yourself," Cassie said as she walked out the door.

"Hikaru that was a great match, " Kaiba said as he took a seat besides Jou. A few minutes later Mokuba and Yami came in sporting Kaiser seahorse and Dark Magician PJ's respectively.

"Hi Akira, Hi Hikaru," Mokuba said as he grabbed himself a plate of fruit and veggies before taking a seat on one of the recliners.
"That was a really awesome game," the younger Kaiba brother said.

"So you promised to tell us how you got into playing Go Hikaru," Yami said as he sat in Kaiba's lap.

"Yeah I guess I did promise to tell you that well here it goes," Hikaru said as he began his story......


(This is a summed up version of how Hikaru met Sai I havent seen Hikaru No Go in a while. It's not meant to be accurate.)

"It all started when I was cleaning the attic to my grandfathers house," Hikaru began. " I was just finishing up when I noticed an old game board I dusted it off and went downstairs to ask my grandfather what it was," Hikaru said.
"He told me that it was a Go board that he wasn't sure how it got in the attic but if I wanted to keep it go ahead," Hikaru said as he took a sip of water. "I took it up to my room and noticed what looked like blood on it's surface so I cleaned it up and that's when he appeared."

"Who appeared," Mokuba asked with interested intent?

"The spirit of the Go board Fujiwara-no-Sai as you may have guessed I was a little freaked out at the whole thing," Hikaru said. " Sai said that he was from the Heian era and was one of the royal Go Players to the
king. " He said that his desire was to attain the Kami no Itte (Divine Move) a perfect game in Go." "At first I had no interest in learning to play Go, it just wasn't my thing at 12 years old I was more interested in playing video games and doing extreme stunts on my bike." " So here I was this 12 year old with a spirit who at first was a huge pain in the rear, " Hikaru said laughing.

** I wonder if Aibou thought I was a pain**


" I don't know how it happened but with Sai's guidance I started to like Go." " I remember the first match I had with Akira who at the time wasn't my friend." "Yes I remember that match I lost to a newbie," Akira said sounding a bit annoyed. " It was Sai who actually played against Akira that day standing next to me telling me where to move the Go stones," Hikaru said sighing as if remembering a dear friend. "Eventually I actually started to pick up the game of Go fairly easily and started taking lessons and joined the Go club in both Junior and High School. "Eventually I started to win tournaments on my own without Sai's guidance. "Sai never accomplished Kami no itte as the spirit world called him back, " Hikaru said but those years that he was with me were very precious. "If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have started playing Go, I wouldn't have brought up my grades and I wouldn't have the college choices I have right now." "You wouldn't have met me," Akira chimmed in. " Oh yeah and me and Akira wouldn't have become good friends," Hikaru said.

"Oh so are you two dating," Jou asked?
"Pup what a personal question to ask," Kaiba said?
"We did date for a couple of years but we both like being friends isn't that right Akira," Hikaru said?
"Yeah that's right though I did have the privileage of being Hikaru's first experience," Akira said smirking causing Hikaru to throw a pillow at his face.

Hikaru then walked over to Yami and knealt down in front of him. " Yami I understand how you feel without having Yugi here with you, " Hikaru said. "Sai was one of my closest friends and I miss him sometimes still but everytime I play Go I am reminded of him." " I also know that your really an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh having a spirit possess you for four years does give you some unnatural abilities ya know," Hikaru said laughing.
" I can see Ryou and Malik's other halfs too but don't worry your secret is safe with me, with us." "Isn't that right Akira?" " Yeah that's right," Akira said as he grabbed a plate of fruit and caramel dipping sauce.

"I never actually saw Sai but I could tell that he was there with Hikaru," Akira said.

"Yami I won't promise to say that the friendship I had with Sai is even close to the loving bond you have with Yugi cause it wasn't but the emptyness is still there sometimes."
" I know that you must really miss your other half, your light, your aibou, " Hikaru said as he looked at Yami's tear filled eyes. Hikaru then got up wincing at the sight of Yami softly sobbing in Kaiba's arms.

( An hour later Mokuba had went up to bed and Yami had fallen asleep in Kaiba's lap.)

"Sorry to say goodbye but I need to be going," Akira said. "Bye Akira I'll see you later "Hikaru said as he hugged his friend goodbye.

"Hey Hikaru would you like to spend the night here," Jou asked? "Yes that would be nice it'll give me a chance to make the Pharaoh smile," Hikaru said as he followed Jou upstairs to one of the extra guest bedrooms...

"Yami-Kun it's time to go to bed," Kaiba whispered in the former Pharoahs ear causing him to stir. "Yami-Kun you need to stand up and walk to your bedroom," Kaiba said as he moved him to the empty side of the couch.
Though instead of standing up Yami curled up in a ball with his plushie gripped tightly in his hand," causing Kaiba to sigh as he picked the 100 lb Pharaoh up.
** He really needs to stop falling asleep like this** Kaiba thought to himself as he carried Yami up the stairs gently tucking him into bed....
