Part 4: Telling Bakura & the dream

Ryou came home after she spent an hour at the doctors. He said he would call her with the results of the test, and that it was pretty likely that she WAS pregnant. Ryou kept trying to figure out how she was going to tell Bakura about this. She sighed and walked into the living room ware Bakura was on the couch watching TV.

"I'm home." She said as she walked over and sat next to him.

"You were gone for a while. Ware did you go?" Bakura asked as Ryou laid her head on him and he wrapped his arm around her.

"I just went...out." Bakura could tell Ryou was hiding something, but if she didn't want to tell him yet he wasn't going to push it. Ryou yawned and wrapped her arm around his waist and fell asleep.

She woke up a few hours later to the sound of the phone ringing. She was wide awake then she jumped off the couch and ran to the phone and grabbed it just as Bakura was about to answer it.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hello this is Dr, Tsukivono, is this Miss Ryou Bakura?"

"Yes."

"The tests came back."

"And what did they say?" Ryou's hands started shaking. Bakura saw this and was going to take the phone away from her to see who was upsetting his light.

"Congregations you're going to be a mother." Ryou almost dropped the phone. "Now I will make another appointment for 2 weeks from today. So I can see how you and the baby are doing. And you will have to come back every 2 weeks for a check up."

"Ok."

"Make sure you eat and drink enough. And try not to stress your self out."

"Ok, thank you." With that Ryou hung up the phone.

"Ryou what was that all about?" Bakura asked. Ryou turned and looked at him. She forgot he had been standing there. "Umm.." 'How am I supposed to say this?' Ryou thought to herself.

"Well?" Ryou took a deep breath.

"I think you might want to sit down for this." Bakura just looked at her. 'Is it really that bad?' he asked himself as he and Ryou walked over to the couch and sat down.

"Well when I went out earlier I went to the doctors." Ryou stopped to see what his reaction would be.

"Go on."

"Well he told me he had a good idea as to why I am getting sick every morning." Ryou took another deep breath. "He said I...I'm. pregnant." Ryou said softly. Bakura's eyes went wide, and his mouth dropped.

"You mean. You and me.."

"Are going to have a baby." Ryou said not sure what Bakura was thinking. A smile made its way onto Bakura's lips, and he hugged her. Ryou smiled and hugged him back.

The same girl watched them thru the window with a smile. "Congratulations pretty Ryou. And we will meat soon." With that she disappeared again.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to the doctors?" Bakura asked.

Ryou pulled away. "Well fist I didn't want you to worry. And second I didn't know how you would react." Ryou smiled and looked down at her stomach as she rubbed a hand over it. "You think it will be boy or a girl?" She asked.

"Don't know. Guess we will just have to wait and see." He said kissing her on the cheek. Ryou nodded. "So what do you want for dinner?" Ryou asked.

"What ever. But not pizza again." Ryou smiled. "I think we have stake in the freezer."

"Sounds good to me." Ryou stood to go start dinner.

Whale Ryou was cooking Bakura came up behind her and wrapped his arms around and rested his hands on her stomach. "Its still hart to believe." He whispered in her ear.

"Yes it is." Suddenly a thought stuck Ryou, and she went tense.

"What's wrong?" Bakura asked pulling his head away from her neck.

"What. what if I change back into a boy whale I'm pregnant?" She asked looking back at him. Bakura hadn't thought about that.

"Don't worry about that right now." He said giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "If it does happen then there is a spell that can change you back into a girl till the baby is born." Bakura reassured her. Ryou gave him a small smile. But Bakura could tell she was still worried about it. "Try not to think about it ok?" Ryou nodded and went back to cooking.

After dinner Bakura and Ryou went in and watched a movie on TV. Ryou had her head resting on Bakura's lap and wound up falling asleep half way thru the movie. Bakura smiled down at her. She looked so peaceful. Every now and then Bakura would wake up in the middle of the night and just watch Ryou sleep. He started wondering why he had beaten up on him so much. 'Because he was weak.' He told himself. When he knew that he wasn't weak at all. He had put Ryou thru so much pain and he just kept getting back up. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Ryou moaned and shifted in her sleep. Bakura wondered what she was dreaming about.

~Dream~

Ryou was a boy again. He looked at him self in a mirror and smiled glad to look like himself again. Then he wondered if this was after he had the baby. He looked around to see if he could find it. He was shocked to see that every ware he looked was nothing but black.

"Hello?" He called out. There was no answer. He started walking; he walked for what seemed like hours till he saw some one sitting on a bench. As he walked closer he recognized it as Bakura.

"Bakura!" Ryou ran over to him happy he wasn't alone any more. As he got closer he saw Bakura was holding something. Two something's actually. "Bakura what's that?" Ryou came up behind him and looked over his shoulder. He saw He was holding two babies. Ryou realized they must be theirs.

"I'm sorry you never got to meat him. He would have loved you both." Ryou heard Bakura whisper, and wondered what he was talking about. Bakura looked up to the sky.

"Why did you have to die." A tear rolled down Bakura's cheek. Ryou frowned. What had made Bakura so sad that he would actually cry? Ryou wondered.

"Bakura what's wrong? Who died?" Bakura didn't answer him; he just stood and walked away. Ryou was about to chase him when there was a flash of light. He covered his eyes and when he opened them he was in what looked like a seminary. He looked around and saw Bakura standing by a grave, with two little kids. He ran over to them.

"Daddy. what was he like?" The little girl asked. Bakura smiled at her.

"He was sweet and kind. he loved kids, we would always go to the park and I would watch him whale he played with the kids there."

"I wish we could have met him." The little boy said holding Bakura's hands.

"I do to. we better get going home." Bakura said and started walking away with them he stopped and looked back. "Good bye...Ryou." With that they walked off and vanished.

Ryou stood there stunned. Who were those kids? And why did they call Bakura daddy? Ryou asked himself. And why didn't they notice him standing next to them? Ryou looked down at the grave they were looking at. He went really pail and his eyes went wide at what name he saw written on the stone.

Ryou Bakura



"Wha, what's going on?!" Ryou Yelled as he started to back away.

"Do not be afraid pretty Ryou." Ryou turned around at the sound of the voice. They're sitting on one of the tomb stones was a girl dressed in black. She had blue eyes that seemed to glow in a small light. And her red hair blew in a small breeze that swept across the graveyard. "Who? Who are you?" Ryou asked.

"There is no need to be frightened. I shall not hurt you." She smiled.

"Who were those kids with Bakura? Do you know?" he asked.

"Yes I do. And you should know them to." She waved her hand and a bright light surrounded Ryou. When the light disappeared Ryou was a girl again only she looked like she was about 8 months pregnant. "They were your kids Ryou."

"You're the one who did this to me?" Ryou asked looking at her in shock.

"Yes I heard you say you wanted a family."

"But what about this." Ryou looked around the graveyard. "Is this supposed to mean something?"

She frowned. "I wish I could tell you. But you will have to wait and see for your self. But remember this; do not leave Bakura's side for one minuet whale you are like this. For if you do." She looked at the stone behind Ryou. He looked at it then back at her. "I shall be watching over you, and the babies." With that she disappeared.

~End dream~

"Ryou! Ryou wake up!" Ryou's eyes shot open, there were tears flowing freely down his face.

"Oh Bakura!" Ryou hugged Bakura and barred his face in his chest. Bakura rubbed his back. "Shh. it was only a bad dream." Ryou continued to cry.

"Promise you wont ever leave me." Ryou said looking up at him.

"I promise."
