Yugi had written Christina back almost immediately telling her he was coming. He told all his friends about it. The only ones who didn’t seem to care that much were Mai and Tea. Everyone else was saying he was a god because he was going to be in another country with a hot foreign girl.

Three long weeks after receiving the letter, Yugi was packing his bags. Yami was sitting on his bed watching his hikari running back and forth.

“Oh, socks! I almost forgot about socks!” Yugi exclaimed.

He started to run for his dresser and tripped over a toy version of Dark Magician. He fell onto the bed and went right through Yami since he wasn’t corporeal on this plane, unless he was sharing Yugi’s body.

Yami looked down at him and blushed. The way Yugi had fallen, his head had ended up going through his crotch. Apparently, Yugi noticed this too, because he stood up quickly.

“Oh, god. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry, it’s ok. I didn’t feel a thing.”

“Right...”

“Just be a little more careful when you’re running in the house.”

Yugi smiled and resumed packing. Once he was all finished, he collapsed on the bed. He looked over at the clock on the bedside table.

“10 o’clock. I gotta get to bed. The plane leaves at 7:30 tomorrow.”

“Would you like me to leave?” Yami asked.

“No... you can stay out with me tonight. I’m a little nervous.”

Yami smiled.

“There’s nothing to worry about aibou. I promise.”

Yugi smiled back at him and got up to change into some pajama’s. Yami looked away with a slight blush. As much as he wanted to look, he respected Yugi’s privacy.

Once Yugi was done, he climbed into bed and Yami looked to him again. He wiggled around under the sheets and turned out the light. Yami laid down on the other side of him and they both feel asleep.

The next morning, Yugi woke up and started getting dressed in a hurry. While this was going on, Yami returned to the millennium puzzle. Yugi made sure he had everything before he dragged his bags downstairs.

After a quick breakfast with his grandpa, Yugi began pacing, waiting for Kaiba. Some how, he persuaded him to give him a ride to the airport.

“Calm down Yugi. She’s only a girl you know,” his grandpa said to him.

“And I’m only a teenage boy who only thinks about girls,” Yugi responded. /And Yami, but that not in that way./

//What was that aibou?//

If possible, Yugi’s eyes got wider than normal. /Nothing!/

He shut off their mind link in a panic, just as the door bell rang.

Yugi opened the door to find Kaiba and Mokuba standing there. Mokuba didn’t even wait to be invited in before going right passed Yugi.

“I hope all you’re stuff is packed,” Kaiba said in his usual cold voice.

“It is.”

“Good. I don’t need any more time wasted.”

“Why did you even agree to take me then?”

“Because I have a business trip to go to and coincidently, we’re going to the same place.”

“You have a branch in America?’

“No. That’s why I’m going. We’re trying to go international.”

“Oh.”

Mokuba came back carrying Yugi’s stuff. For a little guy, he was much stronger than he looked.

“Let’s go!” he said excitedly.

They loaded his stuff in the car and got in. Yugi gave his grandpa a hug and a final goodbye before he too got into the car. It wasn’t a very long drive at all, but because of how excited he was, it seemed longer.

When Yugi was finally seated on the plane, he started to relax a little. He wished Yami was with him though. He really needed to be with someone to help calm him even more and it seemed that only Yami was able to do that. A familiar face was what he really wanted right now.

Being the rich and powerful snob that he was, Kaiba and Mokuba had first class seats, so Yugi was alone in coach. He looked out the window for a while, watching Japan become smaller and smaller until all he could see were clouds.

After several hours of sitting and waiting, Yugi could barely wait anymore. He was holding his millennium puzzle tight in his grip, resisting the urge to let Yami out. He had reopened their link a while ago, but it wasn’t helping much. He didn’t have much time to worry about that though.

“This is your captain speaking. We’ll be experiencing some turbulence in a moment, so secure all your belongings and fasten your seatbelts. Thank you for flying.”

At once, everyone started buckling up, putting things away and a select few were even panicking. The flight attendants were doing their best to calm them down.

The plane shook and Yugi closed his eyes tight.

/Yami.../

//I know aibou. It’ll be ok.//

Once the shaking stopped, the pilot spoke again.

“This is your captain speaking. Alls clear from hear on out. We’ll be landing in California in a few more hours. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Poor Yugi. A little turbulence and he needs his Yami. Well, only a few more hours until he meets Christina. Will there be sparks between them?
