Christina woke around 8:30. She stretched her arms over her head and rubbed her eyes until they no longer itched with desire to be closed. Slowly and stiffly, she swung her legs over the bed and onto the soft carpet.
On her way into the kitchen the smell of her mom's cooking was making her stomach do somersaults. Before she so much as sat down at the table, she was stopped.
"Hun, can you go see if Yugi is awake yet?" She asked.
"Oh, yeah. Sure I can."
She went back upstairs and knocked on the door.
Yugi sat up so fast he hit Yami in the mouth. The collision between head and lip caused Yami to wake up too. Yugi looked down to see the ancient pharroh with his hand over his lip.
Yami removed his hand and looked. Sure enough, he was bleeding.
"Oh Yami, I'm so sorry," Yugi said quickly. /Oh no... I hurt him... /
"It's ok aibou. It's ok."
Christina walked into the room. Her eyes got as wide as Yugi's. Whatever she had been expecting, it was not this. To see Yugi in his bed with another man! Well.... maybe just an older teenager. A very sexy older teenager. Then again... there wasn't that much difference between them....
"Christina.... um, this isn't what it looks like...." Yugi stammered.
"....It looks like you were sleeping with a guy who looks like your clone."
"Ok well maybe it is what it looks like... this is Yami."
"I see. Well, why didn't you tell me you were gay?"
"What?"
"You could have told me. I wouldn't have judged you. Your a great person. Just because you prefer cock over pussy doesn't mean you're any different."
"But.... I'm not gay," he said reddening with embarassment.
"Or bi-sexual."
"I'm not that either."
Yami closed off their mind link. He couldn't risk Yugi feeling his disconsolation.
//I guess there really is no way in hell he will ever love me....//
"Ok well color me confused."
"I am a spirit. Yugi and I are connected. I normally don't have my own body," Yami explained.
"So.... its almost like you have M.P.D. except your other personality is a real person?"
"That's pretty much it," Yugi said.
She smiled, joy filling her once more. Perhaps she really would have a chance with the tri color haired teen after all.
"Well, breakfast is almost ready. We'll be going down the street to meet my friend Del later. Sound ok?"
"Yeah sound's fine."
"See you downstairs!"
She left them alone again.
/She thought I was gay? How is that? I don't... I think I don't.... like guys that way./
He looks over at Yami and starts getting dressed.
/Well.... maybe just one.... Wait... what am I thinking? I love Yami... I just don't.... LOVE Yami. Even if I did.... which I don't! It's not like I'd have a chance in hell anyway./
Yami watched his hikari take off his pajama top and reveal the slowly forming muscles underneath. Oh how he wanted to touch his seemingly perfect body! He took in the sight quickly before turning away.
//I might as well give up. This isn't something I would normally do, but its not like I have a chance of winning this time. I never felt anything for girls, but I never felt anything for guy's either until I met Yugi. Maybe I just wasn't meant to love at all.//
/Maybe Christina was right. No, she couldn't be. I've only... thought about one guy ever! That's not enough to make me gay. Bi-sexual actually requires liking both.... but I don't really know what I like and don't like because I've never even asked anyone out. Why does this have to be so confusing? It's so simple: I'm either gay or I'm not and yet I do not know!/
Yugi pulled on his pants and put his jacket on. He looked to Yami, noticing he was looking away.
/He's so straight he doesn't even look! That proves I have no chance./
"Um... shall we go down then?" he asked.
"Hm? Oh, yes. Of course," Yami said as he turned and stood up.
They walked down to the breakfast table to find Christina and her mom taking the food to the table.
"I hope you boys have an appetite," her mom said when they sat down. "I always expect all of my food to be eaten. There are never empty stomachs in this house."
"We're starving," Yugi exclaimed, putting the 'we' there since their link had been reconnected just then.
"No need to worry about not WANTING to finish it," Christina said. "Mom is the best cook in the county."
"I am not!"
"Yeah you are, don't be so modest!"
"Well, it sure looks delicious ma'am," Yami said. "I can't wait to start eating it."
"Me too."
They all began piling their plates with breakfast. There was so much, it took three helpings to finish it all. Yugi had never ate this much in his life, but he was very hungry so it all worked.
"I'm going to go upstairs and get ready. I'm gonna take the boys to meet Del," Christina said.
"That sounds good honey. Just be careful. Del isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the lamp."
"I know, I know."

Who's this Del? Someone we should know about? Well, the two duelists really seem to be lacking a grip on the truth of one another, as well as their own feelings. When will they finally realize the truth? Will Yami really give up?
