Sorry this chapter took so long I was on vacation with no way to update otherwise it would have been up sooner…sorry again and I hope you like chapter 3 to "Youth" ENJOY!!!!

"If you are believe for one moment, that I would do what that little mind of yours is thinking...then you're a bloody baka!" Ryou blurted. He hadn't really meant to blurt something so...RUDE?...and infuriating? He cringed at the look Yugi gave him. He coughed and looked at the floor. 'Oh goodie...I just ticked off Yugi again. I know he is just looking out for me...but...I HAVE A BIG MOUTH!! Darn it! When will I ever learn to get chewing gum?...Something, anything to shut this screaming howler of mine...' He grumbled to himself.

If Ryou thought Yugi was mad, he should have dwelled on Seto. Seto was tired of this; he could take resistance but not insults especially not from Ryou.

"You made a rather large mistake on saying that Ryou." Seto said slapping him as hard as he could across the face and once he hit the floor picked him up by his hair and tied his arms to one of the bedposts easily.

"Seto onegai!" Yugi said but quickly covered him mouth"…I mean shujin don't do this to him onegai!" Yugi pleaded

"Do you wish to join him? I can arrange that, you know better Yugi and have been with me longer and I wont tolerate anything like this from you and I will no longer tolerate it from him!" Seto yelled grabbing his knife and cutting Ryou's shirt from his body making quick work of the rest of his clothes until he was completely bare.

Ryou winced and clamped his eyes shut. He didn't want to see this, he didn't want Yugi to see him, and he didn't want SETO anywhere near him...he was just not in a good place. His cheek was red and sore, and he really wanted at the moment to rub his cheek gingerly and wish it better. He winced slightly at the dull throb of pain. Nevertheless, Ryou did not apologize, or beg to get away. He just laid there, eyes shut tight and silent. He was going to try this time to not give Seto those screams he loved, if his intent was to rape him again, while poor Yugi witnessed.

Seto scoffed slightly "If you think I'm going to rape you again your wrong…" Seto said trailing off as he cracked a whip behind Ryou making sure he heard it. "I have refrained from beating you Ryou…but I think I'll enjoy this." Seto said raising the whip

"Shujin onegai!" Yugi tried again "Don't do this to him!" Yugi said jumping in Seto's path so he wouldn't hit Ryou. Tears welled in his eyes, "Just…just take me Seto, I'll do anything you ask say whatever you want me to say, I'll do it I swear just don't beat him onegai!" Yugi pleaded

"If you do not move Yugi I will let this whip crash down upon you too, move." Seto said sternly

Yugi turned his head looking at Ryou, his eyes wide with shock at his actions. Yugi lowered his head as if to say he was sorry as he moved out of Seto's path and his eyes filled with tears as he held himself.

Pain. Possibly the most white-hot pain Ryou had ever known was now being done to him...by Seto. Not by the white haired Yami, Ryou had been so sure would be his undoing...but Seto. He cried out painfully at each pain filled lashing. Had Ryou the clarity of mind to think he would have mused about his continuous rotten luck, but all he could think was the pain. All he could feel was the horrifying pain, repeatedly. Seto must have practiced many times on Yugi to get this punishment down to an art.

Ryou's face was streaked with tears, and he started to feel dizzy. He whimpered slightly, and slumped. If he received too much more, he would pass out from the pain. He was shaking and sobbing from what was, so far, the worst experience of his lifetime.

Seto stopped knowing just how much someone could take before they would pass out form the pain pr faint from loss of blood.

"As you see Ryou there are many ways I can make you scream and both are very enjoyable to me…" Seto said looking to Yugi how was crying silently for his friend "How do you think I got Yugi to obey me so willingly? He has the same scars upon his back as you will now bear…now, do I need to continue?" He asked smugly.

"N-no..." Ryou mumbled, rasping slightly, as he tried to catch his breath. He winced and sniffled trying his hardest not to move at all. Everything from his throat to his back, to his eyes throbbed with dull yet powerful pain. Ryou remained as still as he could possibly be, as he continued to try and subdue the pain.

Seto smiled and let the whip crash against Ryou's back again, "You should address me properly when you speak to me …dorei." Seto said in a low tone.

Ryou winced and cried out, slumping further. "N-no..." He whimpered. "I...I wont..." He said shaking like a leaf in the breeze. Ryou hung his head as he again tried to force the pain away.

"Damnit Ryou!" Yugi screamed

"Yugi shut up!" Seto barked causing Yugi to do exactly that "If he want this to stop he'll address me properly…" The whip fell upon Ryou's back again "If he refuses" Seto said letting the whip hit him again "Then this will only get worse" Seto said hitting him again and again each time harder than the other.

Yugi looked at Ryou tears falling form him face. He couldn't say anything so he pleaded with Ryou with his eyes begging him to make Seto stop…Yugi couldn't stand the sight of all this pain, Seto knew how to make it last for what seemed like forever…it wasn't worth all this pain in the end, it just wasn't worth it.

"S-Stop!" Ryou sobbed, about to pass out. "Please..." he mumbled around his sharp breaths. "P-please..." he repeated desperately. "Stop."

"You know how to make this all stop Ryou, if you're to stubborn to than this is your fault." Seto said landing another blow across his already bloody back. Seto started to land blows upon his legs which were not as big but legs are much more sensitive than backs are so it would hurt more to the young boy.

Ryou shrieked at the newer more fierce pain, but his throat was so sore he ended the wail in a fit of coughs. "S-stop!" He managed between harsh coughs. He could hardly form the word Seto wanted he was coughing and breathing so harshly. "Sh-shu.." Ryou winced and whimpered as he coughed cutting off the rest of the word.

Seto stopped so that Ryou could finish what he wanted to hear from the very beginning.

Ryou took that opportunity to breathe and slow his coughing. "Sh-shujin..." He muttered voice barely audible. Ryou coughed once more before he closed his eyes. He was unbearably tired now...all this pain...he just wanted to sleep it off. He started to sink down, as his body was naturally trying to get him to sleep so it could recover from the unbelievable beating.

Seto smiled and dropped the whip. Walking over to Ryou undoing his restraints and catching him before he hit the ground because he obviously could not stand on his own. "I trust you will be less rebellious toward me now?" Seto asked softly laying him gently on the ground. "Get me some bandages Yugi." Seto said as Yugi quickly sprinted off.

Ryou whimpered and coughed once more. He remained very still, trying to prevent any MORE pain. He kept his eyes closed, too weary to even bother fighting sleep. He wanted sleep. Sleeping people didn't feel pain. He opened an eye lazily, when Yugi came rushing back with the bandages.

Yugi gave him the bandages and also brought him a wet towel.

"This may hurt a little." Seto said emotionless as he began to wipe the blood from Ryou's back and legs.

Ryou gasped and tried to push himself away, but could not even manage to sit up. "S-stop!" He yelped and winced as Seto continued to clean the blood from his wounds. Ryou curled up into a tight ball, trying to block out everything around him, from the pain to the fatigue.

"Leaving you all bloody won't help your wounds to heal any faster Ryou!" Seto said pushing him back down flat so he could clean his legs. "I know it hurts, deal with it." Seto said gruffly before finally stopping and he began to apply the ointment and bandages to Ryou's various wounds.

Ryou lay there whimpering after Seto finished. He started to quiet down as the ointment started to cool his back and numb the stinging.

Seto stood leaving Ryou on the floor as he left the room. Yugi stayed still until he knew Seto wasn't coming back and rushed to Ryou's side gently grasping his arm unsure of what to do or say.

Ryou looked up at Yugi weakly. "I suppose you'll be happy now..." Ryou mumbled trying to sit up and failing miserably. He sniffled brokenly and curled into the fetal position. "It hurts..." Ryou whispered wincing at not only his immense physical pain...but also the mental and emotional pain he was going through.

"You actually think any of this makes me happy? I tried to warn you what he would do, I didn't want that to happen to you Ryou…I never wanted any of this to happen to you, I came to help you I…I never meant to cause you more pain. I'm sorry." Yugi grabbed the cover off the bed and wrapped it around Ryou. "He wont use you at all until you heal…that's good I guess." Yugi said hanging his head.

Ryou smiled a bit. "Then, that makes the whole thing worth it in the end." He mumbled snuggling into the blanket and wincing at the movement. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hurt you Yugi. I...I'm not his dorei...I.." He sighed, knowing that he had been shattered before his friend's eyes. Ryou didn't know which was worse, him being shattered before his friend...or how Yugi must have felt to watch it. "Won't you go home? If he uses you..." Ryou coughed a bit, his throat still sore. "You just said he wont use me...perhaps it would be wise for you to leave."

Yugi shook his head "If I come over I can only leave when he says so…and with you injured he wont want me to leave. Also I know your not his slave Ryou, I'm not either and never said I was, I call him Shujin because of the mere fact I have no other choice…Inside I'm screaming the most impertinent things ever uttered in this world." Yugi smiled slightly giving Ryou a pillow "It's one way to maintain sanity." Yugi sighed deeply.

Ryou nodded a bit. "I...I wish I had known about this when it happened to you...I could have helped...or at least tried. You've always been my closest friend. You and your Yami...I've been meaning to ask...how can you keep this from him?" Ryou asked softly.

"I…I block him from my thoughts…I have to, he wouldn't understand why I do this. Also I'm afraid to…I don't want him to look at me differently, I've always been his innocent…and I'm not anymore." Yugi said sadly. "And even if I had told you what would you have done? What could Yami do? Seto's always one step ahead of me, he would find out and I would lose my home, where am I supposed to go?" Yugi asked looking away from Ryou.

"I...He's a monster Yugi...but eventually he'll get careless. I don't know how he intends to keep ME quiet though. He still hasn't threatened me as he has you. The worst he's come of with was cutting my hair..." Ryou said smiling a little and blowing some bangs from his eyes. Hopefully the smile and silly action would lighten the mood a bit.

Yugi didn't smile though "Not to sound mean or anything but he wont let you go until he finds something, and I don't think your Yami will become to worried…and the worst part is Seto knows that too. The main reason I was let go at all because he knows Yami looks out for me, and he would worry if I was gone for a long time." Yugi stood and sat on the bed "Not that I can ask for his help anymore anyway." Yugi hugged his legs.

Ryou shook his head. "Yugi...you could tell him. Yami is a very intelligent person. He could think of a way to get you out without letting Seto know he knew. Its almost frightening how smart Yami is." He said again trying to cheer his friend. "I know things will work out for you. I would willingly stay here forever...if it meant you would be happy and left alone. Its just not the same when you're not smiling." Ryou yawned. "I doubt Seto will find something to blackmail me with. Its hard to threaten someone who has nothing to look forward to, other than his friends."

"You have plenty to look forward to Ryou! I didn't mean to upset you by saying Bakura didn't care…I'm sorry, and Yami may be smart but I don't want him to know…I couldn't stand the thought of how he would look at me, he would probably never trust me again because I've kept it from him so long." Yugi said "How could I be happy knowing that I left you here?" Yugi added after a moment

"I'm not upset. I know Bakura doesn't care. I accepted that fact a long time ago. I'm just a nuisance to him." Ryou murmured. "Because I would be happy if you left me here...knowing that you are ok...and that Seto could never touch you again would make anything worth it." Ryou said quietly. "Yugi...you mean too much to me...I hate to see you upset like this..."

Yugi smiled slightly lowering his head to hide a small blush. "Same to you." Yugi said "We should get some sleep, we may not get the chance again for a while." Yugi said curling up in the sheet still on the bed.

Ryou nodded slightly. "Do you think he'll come back?" Ryou said closing his eyes and yawning. "I wish you could be safer..."

"Not that I want him to but probably…there's not much I can do about it, just try and get some sleep Ryou it'll help the pain go away." Yugi said smiling and closing his eyes wanting to drift away from the pain as well.

Yami paced in Yugi's room. "I hate it when he does this...goes to visit Seto. There are vipers who's company are more inviting." Yami grumbled sitting on the bed and fisting his hands into his hair in frustration. He wanted Yugi to come home soon. "I worry Aibou...why do you do this?!" All Yami wanted was to protect his light...but lately Yugi had been so distant. He had a sad air about him that worried the pharaoh. Yami sighed and tried their link once more...

Yugi's eyes shot open when he felt Yami trying to call to him…HE thought he left the puzzle at home but obviously he didn't, otherwise Yami couldn't contact him. He reached in his pocket to find it and shook his head. He must have absentmindedly hid it before coming over. Yugi bit his lower lip and decided it wouldn't hurt too much to at least answer him. /Y-Yami? / Yugi said through the link hesitantly.

Yami smiled a bit in relief. //Yugi...you know I don't like it when you visit Seto. I worry about you. Why did you rush off so suddenly?// He said softly. //Is there something I should know?// he added after a moment.

Yugi felt his eyes tear up at least Yami couldn't see him /I…I don't mean to worry you Yami, and no there's nothing really…why are you calling to me?/ Yugi asked quickly changing the subject becoming slightly upset over the mention of Seto.

//Because I worry Aibou...because I care. Do I always need a reason to speak to you?// Yami said smartly. //When are you coming home? You'll have your grandfather worried if you stay out too late.// Yami said, returning to the subject of Yugi's absence.

/I'm staying the night…Ryou's over here too, so don't worry about me I'll be fine./ Yugi said swallowing a bit nervously /You worry to much./ Yugi furthered.

Yami blinked a bit. 'I thought Ryou was in Egypt with his father...' he thought to himself. //Aibou...?// he said cautiously.

Yugi covered his mouth upon realizing what he said although it didn't help considering he wasn't really talking. Yugi couldn't think of an answer /I…/ Yugi stopped biting his lip trying to think quickly.

Yami frowned. //Yugi...tell me what is going on.// Yami said in an eerily calm tone. The same tone he sometimes used in dueling to wrack the nerves of his opponents.

Yugi frowned /I can't Yami…/ Yugi said before blocking him. He looked at the puzzle hoping Yami wouldn't decide to come to him.

Yami considered going to Yugi, but shook his head. "Why would you lie Aibou...?" Yami sighed; feeling like Yugi didn't trust him. It was very tempting to go to his Hikari...but he shook his head once more. If Yugi wasn't going to tell him...then he probably wouldn't be welcome. //Why would you lie...// Yami said softly, even though the link was blocked.

Yugi sighed relived once he realized that Yami wouldn't be coming to him and he hid the Puzzle underneath the bed. After he was settled in bed, Seto came in.

"Yugi, you're staying with me tonight." He said coldly

Yugi nodded his head and got out of bed noticing that Ryou was awake. He forced a smile telling Ryou not to worry that he would be okay.

Ryou frowned and shook his head sleepily. "Yugi..." he mumbled sadness clear in his tone. Ryou quietly pulled the blanket over his head. If Seto meant to rape Yugi...he certainly didn't want to see it. Perhaps he could get to sleep before it started. Ryou seriously doubted Yugi would be ok. Seto was rough and careless, and often would hurt his partner to make them scream if his roughness wasn't enough.

Yugi walked outside the room asking Seto with his eyes if they could do this elsewhere, he didn't want Ryou to see him like this. Yugi was relived when Seto agreed. Yugi motioned his hand, pointing where his puzzle was, telling Ryou to look under the bed. He didn't know if his puzzle would help Ryou but maybe it would bring some comfort to the other youth. He was grabbed by the arm and practically dragged from the room as the door was closed and locked from the outside to prevent escape.

Ryou sighed miserably and bit his lip as he crawled weakly to the bed and pulled the puzzle from under it. "Poor Yugi...you care so much for him..." he mumbled to the golden pyramid, as though Yami were there. Ryou crawled back to his pillow and blanket and covered himself. Hopefully Seto would replace his clothes soon. "Yami...Yugi needs you now...more than ever, and he cant tell you because his heart is so big." Ryou muttered clutching the pyramid close.

Yami sighed. He couldn't resist any more. Even in hurt of being lied to...he still felt like he should be near his Hikari. "Yugi..." he murmured disappearing into the puzzle, before reappearing in the strange room. He blinked a bit. Where was this place?

Yugi gasped upon feeling Yami close by 'oh no' he thought mentally as Seto entered him quickly causing him to grit his teeth in pain. He made sure the block was up so he couldn't hear his thoughts. Yugi thought of Ryou, Yami and Ryou were now in the same room…what would Ryou tell him? Yugi panicked for a moment but was slightly happy that Seto had locked the door cause not even Yami could break that lock and it would prevent Yami from coming to the rescue. Yugi closed his eyes as a tear slipped from his eye, 'please Yami I hope you understand I'm doing this for us…and for Ryou, please I hope you understand' Yugi said to himself knowing he would have to explain a lot once they were alone.

Yami looked at Ryou and immediately dropped to his knees next to the pale haired Hikari. "Ryou! What has happened?"

Ryou sighed tiredly and pulled the blanket over his head. "Yami...I'd tell you...but...Yugi has a good reason not to tell you. I am not sure I should. I might do more harm than good."

Yami shook his head. "Ryou...why are you here? ...You never went with your father to Egypt...did you?"

Ryou shook his head. "Not even a moment. I've been here the whole time. Nevertheless, you shouldn't worry about me, its Yugi you should be most concerned with. HE is your Hikari, not me."

Yugi couldn't stand it as he opened the link, he knew all his pain would flow through it but he needed to talk to Yami /Yami…don't worry about me and please help Ryou, he's hurt really badly./ Yugi said before closing the link before Yami had a chance to say anything to him for fear Seto would notice he had spaced out.

Yami winced at the pain Yugi had sent through their link with his words. He looked to the door, before walking over to it and trying to open it. "Ryou Where is Yugi?" He said turning back to the white haired boy.

"He left the room a while ago. You're stuck...I've tried everything to get out of here...bars on the windows...locks on the door." Ryou sighed.

Yami walked back to Ryou and his eyes widened in shock at the sight of the exposed bandages. "Dear Ra....what happened?!"

Ryou sighed. "Nothing important..."

"Ryou…" Yami said taking in his appearance "Onegai Ryou, Yugi wont talk to me, I need to know what is going on…how am I supposed to protect him if he wont let me? And 'nothing important' my ass Ryou." Yami said pulling the cover from Ryou.

Ryou grabbed onto the blanket and yanked it back over himself. "I'm not sure I can tell you...but...Yami...he's not telling because he cares. Seto has him under blackmail...that's why he lied about where I was too." Ryou winced at the movement. "Yami, I'm fine..." he grumbled tugging the blanket over his head.

Yami pulled the cover totally away from him but quickly realized Ryou wasn't wearing anything and gave them back "I…I'm sorry, I didn't know…." Yami stammered.

Ryou was blushing a deep crimson now. "I-its ok..." they sat in silence for a few moments. "Um..." He said pulling the blanket over himself. He blushed more. "Well...I...I assume you can somewhat guess why I'm here..." He said looking away. "If you wish...I can tell you about Yugi...but I'd prefer he told you."

Yami sat down to be eye level with Ryou "If that's what you think is best...Is there anything I can do for you?" Yami looked at Ryou concern in his features Ryou probably wasn't used to being treated nicely by a Yami considering the way Bakura was.

Ryou smiled a little. "Just talking to me is enough...Besides, there isn't much else you could do anyway. What I want most is to go home...Seto makes Bakura seem like miss merry sunshine." Ryou gently reached out and clasped Yami's hand. "I don't want you and Yugi to go away...but...you will. You have to."

"Seto..." Yami said growing angry clutching Ryou's hand tightly not really paying attention

Ryou shook his head. "Yami...you're squeezing a bit tightly..." he said quietly. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to make you angry." Ryou added quietly burying his face in the pillow he laid on. He felt almost as though he didn't matter, that Yami would care for Yugi and they'd both leave happy and leave him to rot. He knew it was silly, but he was always jealous of Yugi and Yami's relationship with each other...caring. Just once, he'd like for someone to care for him the same.

Yami snapped back to reality and let Ryou's hand go "Sorry...its just I can't believe he kept this from me...and what eh did to you..." Yami said lifting his chin "I'm not angry Ryou...not at you at least." He noticed the puzzle in Ryou's other hand and sighed "Yugi must really care about you, to entrust you with the puzzle, and ask me to help you...that's what he asked me to do." Yami said smiling slightly

Ryou blushed lightly. "He trusts me...but then again, who better to trust. Me or Seto?" Ryou said pulling back and crying out slightly at the sudden surge of pain through his being. He laid down quickly and shook his head. "I wish I could thank Yugi for all he's done..." Ryou hugged the blanket close. "You both mean a lot to me..."

Yami gently put his arms around Ryou and laid down next to him "You shouldn't move, you'll only hurt yourself more. Yami bit his lower lip he knew that Ryou shouldn't be on the floor but wasn't sure if he should move him. "Can I...move you Ryou? It cant be good for you to stay on the floor...you could get sick which wouldn't be good on top of your injuries." Yami said softly

Ryou nodded, blushing at the tenderness Yami was expressing towards him. "You can if you want...I just end up on the floor anyway..." He rubbed his cheek, which wasn't sore anymore...but still got the point across. "It doesn't matter much if I'm sick or not either..." He added sleepily. "I wish I could help Yugi...He said Seto would leave me alone until I was better..." Ryou shuddered at the thought of Seto touching his friend. "Poor Yugi.."

Yami contained his anger so not to scare Ryou, he wanted to scream and yell he wanted to Seto bath in his own blood but he couldn't get to him...he sighed deeply "You shouldn't beat yourself up Ryou, your in no condition to help anyone." Yami gently picked him up feeling terrible when Ryou cried out softly. "I'm sorry." He said softly afraid to move and slightly happy just to have Ryou in his arms for the moment.

Ryou cuddled closer to Yami. He sighed happily and smiled a bit. "You'll leave soon...and I'll be left here alone..." he murmured hugging Yami and sniffling. "I don't want to be left alone here..." Ryou felt a tear roll down his cheek as he thought about being alone with Seto once again. If before had been bad...what was to come would be worse now that Seto had higher standards for him to behave.

"I won't leave you unless I have to Ryou." Yami said laying him as gently as he could upon the bed, He took the puzzle and hid it underneath the bed, "just in case Seto comes back, and I need to talk to Yugi before I kill him." Yami said a bit bitterly but smiled softly at Ryou and laid down next to him so he had someone to hold onto. He frowned slightly and lifted Ryou's chin "Please don't cry Ryou, I'm sorry if I hurt you." Yami said sympathetically.

Ryou sniffled and shook his head. "It wasn't you who hurt me...it was Seto. Don't worry...I'll be fine." He mumbled wiping his eyes and forcing himself not to cry as he remembered everything Seto had done...all the pictures...all the videos. He buried his face in the pillow. "Yami...he hurt me...he hurt Yugi too...he's a thief worse than Bakura..." Ryou said into the pillow, thus it was muffled.

Yami felt his whole body become ridged with rage, he wanted to kill Seto but he needed to talk to Yugi first. He pulled Ryou closer to him as gently as he could. And brought Ryou's face out of the pillow so he could look into his eyes. "Please Ryou don't waste your tears on him, he's not worth it." Yami swallowed his anger "I wont let him do anything else to you I swear it." Yami kissed him lightly on the forehead

Ryou hiccupped slightly and smiled. "I wish that were true...but he will..." Ryou looked at the dresser where Seto sometimes kept the pictures and cringed. "He's a horrible creature..." Ryou said snuggling Yami and just taking in the sunned scent of his friend. Ryou yawned and closed his eyes. "I'm tired..."

Ryou hiccupped slightly and smiled. "I wish that were true...but he will..." Ryou looked at the dresser where Seto sometimes kept the pictures and cringed. "He's a horrible creature..." Ryou said snuggling Yami and just taking in the sunned scent of his friend. Ryou yawned and closed his eyes. "I'm tired..."

"No he won't Ryou…I don't care if I talk to Yugi first or not I will not stand by and let him…rape you again." Yami sighed closing his eyes and he pressed his forehead against Ryou's "Don't talk like that Ryou onegai…I care for you as much as I care about Yugi, how can I not?" Yami asked gently stroking Ryou's cheek

Ryou smiled a little. "Yugi's your Hikari...why should I matter? I'm just extra baggage." Ryou said softly. "But I'm glad you're my friend...and you're here. I was quietly dying when I was alone..." He yawned and started to doze a bit.

"You are a Hikari the same as him Ryou…Bakura doesn't know just how precious you are." Yami said stroking Ryou's hair "You're not extra baggage Ryou, I am more than happy to take care of you too because it gives me more worth in life…let me care for you too." Yami asked softly.

Ryou nodded sleepily. "Arigato..." he murmured before his breaths evened out into slumber. Although he winced when he rolled, as the bed put pressure on the wounds on his back. Whimpering slightly he curled into the fetal position as he slept.
