Into the Shadows

To infiltrate a building sounds easy enough, but to infiltrate one filled with vampires, well that's a completely different story. Of course if you're a vampire it's not that hard, but still when two of the vampires are your siblings it gets even harder. Well here's the next chapter and I hope you all will like it. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh so please don't sue.

Chapter 2: Half-Vampires and Trouble

" Devil Cat and Fallen Angel!" exclaims Anatsu as she looks at the two cards. Keora nods and then they leave the room and reappear right outside the front door. Keora whispers something to them and they nod.

" So that's the plan," says Keora as she looks at Malik, Bakura, Ryou, Marik, and Yami. They nod and Keora smiles slightly. " Good, then lets go," says Keora. Ryou nods and follows her as she walks outside of the white pyramid at about 12:00 a.m. which was more like day for the vampires. Keora stealthily creeps around the corner followed by the others. Ryou notices Keora tense up and looks over her shoulder. There in the dark stands a figure outlined in the moon light.

" It's Cynara," says Marik as he notices the teens symbolic stripe of silver on her left arm that meant she was second in charge.

" So she's second now, must mean that Isis did something to displease Seto," says Keora and smiles slightly. " Or my spy created a mutiny," thinks Keora to herself and smiles to herself.

" Keora, wait up," hisses Anatsu as she catches up to them with Ashery on her heels. " Can't leave me behind," says Anatsu and Keora nods and suddenly fades into the shadows followed almost instantly by Ryou.

" Why did they do that?" asks Ashery. Marik raises his shoulders and shakes his head and then notices that Malik is missing.

" They ditched us," says Yami and sighs. " I can't blame them for not wanting to get us involved," adds Yami. Bakura and Marik look at Yami and watch the ancient Pharaoh.

" They didn't ditch us," says Ashery and looks at them. " At least not in the sense of the way I use the word," says Ashery and smiles. " Anyway they're the chosen ones," says Ashery. The others sigh and suddenly they notice the wind blowing and look up to see a see a ghost sitting on a lamp post. They all look at him and then he comes down to them.

" Who are you?" asks Bakura as he glares at the ghost. The ghost smiles slightly and looks at him. The ghost just keeps smiling and then looks at Bakura.

" Long time no see Bakura," says the blue haired ghost. Suddenly another ghost appears next to him with light brown hair with shimmering blue eyes and he smiles at them.

" How do you know me?" asks Bakura. He didn't remember ever seeing a person like this in his life.

" Names Noa, and this is Kanji," says Noa. ( yes, Kanji from Gone and Forgotten. This is an AU to that though.) Kanji nods and looks at Bakura.

" Noa, like as in Noah in ancient Egypt?" asks Bakura as his eyes get big. Noa nods and Kanji smiles at him. " And you're Kai," says Bakura as he points at Kanji who nods.

" Sure am," says Kanji and then he makes a sweeping bow to Yami. " My King," says Kanji and smiles.

" Welcome, back my friend," says Yami to the ghost who smiles slightly and looks at him.

" So our Chosen ones have gonw to the Pyramid," says Noa and they nod. Noa sighs and then looks at Yami. " Is Lady Nayama still alive?" asks Noa to Yami. Yami nods and looks at the ghost.

" Her name's Yama now," says Yami and Noa nods. Kanji looks at Yami and then glares at something.

" My King behind you," says Kanji and suddenly they all turn around to look into the faces of three vampires: Cynara, Isis, and Duke. Marik, Yami, and Bakura's eye's get big, but Anatsu and Ashery smile slightly and in one movement they both grab their items. Ashery's Millennia Saber makes the area around them glow and Anatsu's Millennium Dagger enhances the light and the vampires start to run off, but not before Anatsu is able to slash Duke across the arm and Ashery is able to injure Cynara's leg.

" We'll be back," hisses Isis as they run off, but a simple beam of light hits her in the back of the head and she turns to attack her enemy and see's a 12 year old girl with white hair and white eyes glaring at her. " You traitor," says Isis and runs to attack the girl when a pure white light starts to shimmer around the girl. Suddenly a beam of dark magic hits her square in the back and she turns around her eyes now blood red. There standing before her stands Maku with his eyes glowing and fangs overlapping his bottom lip.

" No," says Bakura as he looks at his son, but suddenly Maku hisses and jumps at Isis with a blade in his hand. Isis seeing that she can't win runs off. Maku stops chasing her and puts his head on the side.

" Well, that was interesting," says Maku and looks at his dad.

" Hey dad, look, I'm a vampire," says Maku as he smiles.

" Is that exposed to be a good thing?" asks Bakura to his son who looks at his dad questioningly. He smiles and looks at his dad.

" Hey where'd Mariku go?" asks Maku suddenly. He looks around and see's the white clad girl sitting on a light post.

" Hey Maku, thanks for getting the wicked witch," says the girl jokingly to the 12 year old who smiles.

" No prob Mariku, I'm just happy we got you out of that place," says Maku.

" We?" asks Marik as he looks at the little boy.

" Keora, Malik, Ryou, and me. We broke into the pyramid and got Mariku, the spy, out," says Maku.

" Tell us how you did it," says Bakura.

" Okay," says Maku. " We waited outside the castle until Isis, Duke, and Cynara left their stations. Then Keora and Ryou broke into the pyramid while Malik and I went to find Mariku. We found her alright, locked in the dungeons. While we were getting Mariku out Malik. . . got hurt. I don't know where Keora or Ryou are, but Malik told me to go on without him and get Mariku to safety," recounts Maku.

" Malik," whispers Marik and starts to sob for his hikari. Bakura wraps his arms around his love and sighs.

" Don't worry Marik. I'm still alive," whispers Malik as he limps into view using the building to support himself. Marik looks up and his hikari and runs over to the blond haired boy and hugs him. Malik collapses in Marik's arms and Noa and Kanji walk over.

" Mariku, you know what to do," says Noa to the white haired girl who nods and touches Malik. She starts to shimmer and so does Malik and he opens his eyes. " Good as new," says Noa.

" Ah, what's that!" exclaims Malik as he stares at Noa in disbelief.

" A ghost. What do you expect?" asks Marik calmly. Malik looks at Noa and then starts to calm down. " It's just a really annoying person who I guess came back in a reincarnation and died again," says Marik. Malik smiles and looks at Noa.

" So who're you?" asks Malik. Noa smiles and points to a scarab necklace hanging around his neck.

" I was Noah in ancient Egypt, and now I am . . . was Noa Kaiba," says Noa. Malik nods and points to the Scarab necklace.

" Killed twice," says Mariku quietly.

" What!" exclaims Malik.

" He was brought back to life by that necklace, but then the vampires killed him," says Mariku.

" Noa!" exclaims Keora as she turns the corner and see's the ghost. Noa nods and looks at his brothers sister. " Noa, I thought you were dead," says Keora.

" He is dead," says Bakura, but Keora shakes her head.

" He's not dead Bakura, that's one of the powers of that darn necklace of his," says Keora and snatches the necklace and Noa materializes. " He may look like a ghost, but that's because he is one of my three spies," says Keora. " The only ghost around here is Kanji," says Keora. " My blood brother and the holder of the Millennium Life," says Keora as Kanji nods.

" Come on you guys, better get back to the base, before Seto comes to collect his brothers," says Keora and they all nod and run off to the base.

" Anatsu you're strangely quiet," says Keora to the vampire hunter.

" It's Malik, I'm worried about him," says Anatsu. Keora nods and looks at her.

" I am too Anatsu, I am too," says Keora. She watches Malik on the screen in her room. " Quite worried," says Keora quietly and sighs. " I know your in here Mariku. I can feel you," says Keora as she walks into the room where Mazara's unconscious body lays on a bed with a plastic cylinder over the top of it.

" What happened?" asks Mariku as she appears beside Mazara's bed.

" Cynara happened," says Keora her fists clenched. " They tried to kill her, but didn't succeed, but now she's like this," says Keora. Mariku nods and rests one of her small hands on Keora's shoulder.

" Just keep trying," says Mariku quietly. Keora nods at the girl and smiles.

" Leave it to me to trust a half-vampire," whispers Keora to Mariku who smiles.

" And leave it to me to trust a fallen angel," says Mariku. Keora nods and looks at the girl in silent respect.

" Of course Mariku, it's our little secret," thinks Keora.
