*phone rings*

Ms. Kawazaki answers: "Hello, Kawazaki residence."

Sherry: "Hi, Ms. Kawazaki? May I speak to Kiyobi please?"

Ms. Kawazaki: "Well, we're eating right now, can you call back later?"

Sherry: "It can't wait. This is urgent!"

Ms. Kawazaki: "Okay, just calm down." "Kiyobi! Sherry's on the phone."

Kiyobi takes the phone: "Hey Sher, what's up?"

Sherry: "We got a bit of a problem here..."

Kiyobi: "What's going on?"

Sherry: "Mina's been forced to duel, and a Soul Seal has been played!"

Kiyobi: "WHAT?! I'll be over there right away!" *hangs up*

Kiyobi dashes into the scene on his scooter: "Hey! Am I late?"

Sherry: "Kiyobi! You made it!"

Sherry: "We got a Dragon Heart dueling against Mina. And they have the Soul Seal against her!"

???: *Heh... they still think I'm a Dragon Heart!*

Kiyobi: "Just who in the hell are you?!"

???: "My name... is Derek. Derek Irving."

Kiyobi: "No... it's YOU!!!"

Sherry: "Huh?"

Kiyobi: "YOU KILLED MY SISTER!!!"

Kiyobi: "DEREK!"

Derek: "What do you want?"

Kiyobi: "You enter our house, become our friends... even possibly go out with my sister, and this is WHAT WE GET IN RETURN?! MY SISTER GETS MURDERED?! Come over here and fight a man!!!"

Derek: "Just try and break the seal. When you get inside, that's when I'll fight you."

Kiyobi: "This is for Ami!" *punches with full force at the force shield*

-Soul Seal breaks, card flies towards Mina, and she catches it.-

Kiyobi: "There! I've broken your weak-ass seal! TIME FOR PAYBACK!"

Kiyobi: "Come on, Derek! Are you scared?"

Derek: "HELL NO! Let's duel!"

Kiyobi: "Fine."

-Derek and Kiyobi draw their cards-

Kiyobi draws: "I'm moving first. I activate Soul Seal!"

Derek: "I activate Reversal!"

Kiyobi: "No! That means..."

Derek (LP: 4000): "I have your Serpent Night deck, and the Soul Seal working for me! And I just gave you the worst deck in the world! You fell for it Kiyobi! And now you're paying for it!"

Sherry: "KIYOBI! NO!"

Mina: "I can't believe this!!!"

Kiyobi falls to his knees: "Sorry, Ami... I failed you."

Episode 7: Secrets

Sherry: "Kiyobi's in a lot of trouble..."

Kiyobi: *This was his plan the entire time! What does he have against us?*

Derek: "Serpent Light Dragon! Attack Kiyobi directly!"

Serpent Light Dragon (2950) attacks directly.

Kiyobi (LP: 5050): "I'm just getting started. Done yet?"

Derek: "Your move."

Kiyobi draws: *He said this is the worst deck in the world... yet... he still has some helpful cards. This Magician of Faith should help.* "I set this monster facedown, and this card facedown. Your move."

Derek draws: "This is a great deck you have here, Kiyobi. Summon Sasuke Samurai!"

Kiyobi: "NOT GOOD!"

Derek: "Destroy that facedown monster!" *If I'm right, that's Magician of Faith. That's the only flip-effect monster in that deck!*

Sasuke Samurai (Effect) VS. Magician of Faith (200 DEF)

Magician of Faith is destroyed.

Derek: "Serpent Light Dragon, attack directly again!"

Serpent Light Dragon (2950) attacks directly again.

Kiyobi (LP: 2100): "AAAAAAAAHHHH!" *falls to the floor*

Mina: "You all right, Kiyobi?!"

Kiyobi struggles to get up: "I'll... be... fine Mina..."

Derek: "Your move."

Kiyobi draws: *Magician of Faith is gone... all I got are these useless cards...* "I set these four facedown cards. You're up."

Derek draws: "What the hell?! Who keeps a blank card in his deck?!" *Shows card to Kiyobi*

Kiyobi: "I don't remember that in-- WHAT THE?!"

-Blank card starts floating out of Derek's hand-

Derek: "What is this?!"

-Blank card flies to Kiyobi, and Kiyobi catches.-

Kiyobi: "It... flew to me?"

-Blank card's picture reveals itself.-

Kiyobi: *The Master of Black Shadow!!!*

Derek: "...anyways. That card is not going to help. Serpent Light Dragon, attack Kiyobi and finish him off!"

Sherry: "NO! KIYOBI!"

Kiyobi: "Activate Waboku! That saves me for now."

Derek: "Grr... fine. Set one card facedown. End my turn."

Kiyobi draws: *Wow. What are the odds?* "My turn to turn this duel around!"

Derek: "Why is that?"

Kiyobi: "Activate Contract with the Abyss!"

Derek: "Of all the luck..."

Contract with the Abyss

Magic Ritual Card

Allows you to Ritual Summon any Dark type monster.

Kiyobi: "This is the downside to your deck's plan. All your un-summonable high level monsters will now work against you! I sacrifice the Summoned Skull (2500), Dark Magician (2700), and Great Angus (1800) in my hand to bring out... The Master of Black Shadow!!!"

Mina: "Go Kiyobi!"

-Dark aura surrounds the field, and The Master of Black Shadow emerges from the darkness.-

Kiyobi: "Time for a comeback!"

2500 + 2700 + 1800 from the sacrifical monsters = 7000 attack points

Kiyobi: "Attack his Sasuke Samurai!"

Master of Black Shadow (7000) VS. Sasuke Samurai (100)

Sasuke Samurai is (mercilessly) destroyed. Derek loses 6900 Life Points

Derek: "Activate Nutrient Z!"

Nutrient Z

Trap Card

When you lose more than 2000 Life Points as a result of a Battle, add 4000 Life Points.

Kiyobi: "Lucky bastard."

Derek (LP: 1100): "Just enough to save me."

Kiyobi: "Your move."

Derek draws: *With his Master in play, he's unstoppable. I need a solid defense.* "Serpent Night Trainer, in defense position!"

Kiyobi: "NO!"

Derek: "Set everyone in defense position, your move."

Kiyobi draws: *With the Trainer in play, I can't destroy any of the Serpent monsters!* "Your move."

Derek draws: "This duel is over."

Kiyobi: "What do you mean?!"

Derek: "You might be familiar with this card. Self Sacrifice!"

Kiyobi: "NO! NOT THAT CARD!"

Derek: "It's over."

Self Sacrifice (Original Card)

Magic Card

Destroy and remove from play all of your cards in your hand, field, and graveyard. For very card removed from this effect, your opponent loses 500 Life Points.

Derek: "Five cards in my hand, two monsters on the field. Five and two make seven, seven times five is 35. You lose 3500 Life Points. You lose."

Kiyobi (LP: 0): "NO!"

Sherry: "KIYOBI!"

Kiyobi: "Sorry, Johnathan, Jimmy, Mina, Sherry... Ami..."

Mina: "HE LOST?!"

-Seal surrounds Kiyobi-

Kiyobi: "What the...? My Master of Black Shadow went blank again!"

Angelic voice: "Focus your energy on the card. It'll save you."

Kiyobi: "Okay..." *takes blank card*

Derek: "Say goodbye!"

Kiyobi: "Sherry...! ...Catch!" *throws blank card, and falls dead*

-Sherry catches the card, and the Seal disappears.-

Derek: "My work is done. So long, ladies." *Bows, waves cape around him and disappears, leaving Kiyobi's deck behind*

Sherry: "Not again!" *Runs to Kiyobi*

Mina: "This time... there's no chance..."

Sherry: "This isn't real... this can't be true..."

Mina: "Sherry... he's gone."

Sherry cries: "No... he can't be..."

Mina: "Sherry! The card Kiyobi threw at you!"

Sherry looks at the card: "no... freakin... WAY!"

Kiyobi, the Night Warrior

Light Warrior

Level 4

ATK/1000 DEF/1000

When this card is summoned, you can also summon as many Serpent Night or Serpent Light monster from your hand or deck as you can or want. Increase this warrior's attack and defense power by 1000 for every Serpent Night, Serpent Light, or Chaos Serpent monster in play.

Mina: "Kiyobi?!"

Sherry: "As a card?!"

Mina: "This is really weird. I'm freaking out."

Sherry: "Yeah. I still can't believe he's gone..."

Mina: "Look on the bright side. Just think Kiyobi's soul is in that card instead."

Sherry: "You got a good point there." *puts card close to her heart*

Mina: "Hey! There's Kiyobi's deck!"

Sherry: "Where?!"

-Mina gets Kiyobi's deck and gives it to Sherry-

Sherry: "This effect is perfect for his own deck."

Mina: "So you're letting go of your Scapegoat deck?"

Sherry: "Yeah. For Kiyobi."

Mina: "Oh yeah, one thing's been bugging me."

Sherry: "Yeah? What?"

Mina: "You like him, don't you?"

Sherry blushes: "Yeah."

Mina: "I knew it!"

Sherry: "Well, I should be heading home..."

Mina: "What about Kiyobi's body?"

Sherry: "Good point... but I don't want to bother Ms. Kawazaki at this time of night."

Mina: "Let me see if the guys are awake. There should be a pay phone around here somewhere... there!" *Puts in change and calls Jimmy and Johnathan*

...

???: "Hello? Tristan speaking."

Mina: "Hello, Mr. Taylor! Is Jimmy home?"

Tristan: "No he's not."

Mina: "Oh... thanks anyway."

Tristan: "No problem."

-Mina hangs up, dials Johnathan's house.-

...

???: "Hello?"

Mina: "May I speak to Johnathan please?"

???: "Just a minute."

...

Johnathan: "Hello?"

Mina: "Hey, Johnathan! It's Mina."

Johnathan: "Hey, Mina. What's the problem? It's 9 o' clock!"

Mina: "Sorry to bother you."

Johnathan: "It's all right. So, what's up?"

Mina: "We got a problem..."

...

Johnathan: "WHAT?! Kiyobi lost with the Soul Seal in play?! That means..."

Mina: "Yeah..."

Johnathan: "That's unheard of!!!"

Mina: "Want proof? Come to Higaken Street."

Johnathan: "All right, I'll be right there." *click*

9:15 PM

Johnathan arrives on a bike: "So, where is he?"

-Mina points to Kiyobi's body-

Johnathan: "No way... he really is gone..."

Sherry (tearing): "uh huh..."

Mina: "How can we explain this to his mom?"

Akira arrives: "Are you guys all right?"

Mina: "Akira?!"

Akira: "I saw the light, and a really eerie glow."

Sherry: "He's gone..."

Akira: "They got him already?!"

Johnathan: "Yep."

Sherry: "All that's left is this..." *shows Kiyobi's card*

Akira: "What the?! I've never seen that!"

Sherry: "He gave it to me before the Seal took him away."

Akira: "...This card gives me an idea."

Sherry: "What idea?"

Akira: "Not now. It's too late in the night. We all need sleep."

Johnathan: "He's right." *yawns* "I'm outta here... good night everyone."

Mina: "Good night."

-Johnathan leaves.-

Sherry: "I'm not going to be able to sleep after seeing this happen!"

Mina: "I know how you feel."

The next day...

Kaiba Corp. HQ, 1:00 PM

Sherry: "So, what's this idea you were talking about last night?"

Akira: "This." *Shows a disc*

Sherry: "A frisbee?! That's it?!"

Akira: "Oh, it's more than a frisbee. It's a monster materializer."

Sherry: "A monster what-a-lizer?"

Akira: "Materializer. It can turn any monster card you want and this'll make a real creature out of it."

Sherry: "That's awesome!"

Akira: "It works with any monster card in the game of Duel Monsters."

Sherry: "Including this?" *shows the Kiyobi card*

Akira: "The problem is that once you take the card out, the machine deactivates. This is also untested, so I don't know if you want to go through with it."

Sherry: "Good point... I don't want to mess up Kiyobi's personality."

Akira: "So you still want to test it out?"

Sherry: "Actually, I got a good idea." *pulls out a card* "These Kuriboh critters are SO CUTE!"

Akira: "You want to try it out on that first? Okay. Just put that card right here and flip the switch."

Sherry: "All right..." *puts the card on the machine and turns it on*

-The machine emits a shower of sparkly effects, finally showing a Kuriboh-

Sherry: "Aww... it's so CUUUUUUUUUTE!" *hugs Kuriboh*

-Kuriboh trills-

Sherry: "I'll name you... Miyo."

-Miyo trills happily-

Akira: "I see it's a success."

Sherry: "This is awesome! When are these coming out to the stores?"

Akira: "Soon, actually. But since I'm nice, this one's all yours."

Sherry: "REALLY?! Thank you!!!" *hugs Akira*

Akira: "Whoa, whoa... let's calm down here!"

Sherry lets go: "Sorry."

Akira: "It's okay."

-Miyo trills-

Akira: "Also, the machine needs to be somewhat nearby the creature in order to work properly."

Sherry: "All right. Thanks a lot Akira!"

Akira: "No problem."

-Sherry leaves the building-

-----

Sherry's room, 1:45 PM

Sherry: "Okay... I think that's enough Miyo."

-Miyo trills happily-

Sherry: "I'll see you later, okay?"

-Miyo squeaks sadly-

Sherry: "Don't worry, I'll see you again soon, okay?"

-Miyo trills-

Sherry: "Okay... see you." *pets Miyo and turns off the machine*

Sherry: "Let's see if this works..." *takes out Kuriboh card and puts on Kiyobi's card. Turns on the switch...*

-Machine emits sparkles, and Kiyobi appears-

Sherry: "IT WORKS!!!"

Kiyobi: "What the... where am I? Why am I not in my usual clothes?"

Sherry: "Kiyobi! It's me!!!"

Kiyobi looks shocked: "AND WHY AM I IN SHERRY'S ROOM?!"

Sherry: "Look down below your feet."

Kiyobi looks down: "That's... me?! In a Duel Monsters card?!"

Sherry: "Yeah! You look so hot in that, may I add."

Kiyobi blushes: "Aww, shucks... I gotta admit, this does look pretty cool on me."

-Kiyobi is wearing a black shirt and jeans with a dark glowing cape-

Kiyobi: "I wonder if this sword's real..." *swings sword around, cutting a part of the wall*

Sherry: "OMIGOSH!"

Kiyobi sweatdrops: "Ehh... sorry?"

Joey: "Ey, Sher! Ev'rytin aiite up der?"

Sherry: "All fine here, grandpa!"

Kiyobi: "Seriously, why am I like this?"

Sherry: "The card you threw at me, is you."

Kiyobi: "So that angelic voice was right!"

Sherry: "Huh?"

Kiyobi: "The voice told me to focus energy on this card. The card probably saved my soul!"

Sherry: "Yay! I wonder how you'll get back into your real body, though..."

Kiyobi: "Good point."

Sherry: "Well, I gotta turn this thing off."

Kiyobi: "All right with me. See you in the Finals... hopefully."

Sherry: "You will. Look what I'm using." *shows Kiyobi's deck*

Kiyobi: "THAT'S MY DECK!"

Sherry: "And you're going to be in it."

Kiyobi: "Awesome! This is better than playing a duel!!!"

Sherry: "Relax, now." *smiles*

Kiyobi: "Okay, you can turn it off. See you around, then."

Sherry: "Okay. But not until I do this..." *goes up and kisses Kiyobi*

Kiyobi blushes: "Whoa! You-"

-Sherry turns off the machine.-

Sherry blushes: "Yeah. I did."

As the Finals draw ever closer, everyone trains to be their best when the event comes. Two weeks pass... and the game is set. Who will emerge victorious?
