Chapter 1: Enter Yusuke

"Ok, why do you want me to enter this tournament? It has nothing to do with Spirit World!" Yusuke asked Koenma. "Yes it does. It only allows those with high spirit energy. Demons, Humans it doesn't matter. Someone wants the strongest fighter in the world and they obviously want him now." "You don't think it's the same guys who put on the Dark Tournament?" Yusuke asked. "Possibly. Well, you better wake up now. You're late for school! C'ya!" Koenma said laughing.

Yusuke woke in his bed. "I'm late!" He ran into his closet and got on his green outfit. He jumped out of his bedroom window and ran to school. When he got to the school doors, there was a note on it. `No school due to rat infestation.' Yusuke began to burn up. He could tell this was going to be one long week.

Yusuke walked to Kuwabara's house and knocked on the door. Kuwabara opened it. "Urameshi! What's Crackalakin?" He said as he led Yusuke inside. "Did you know that school was closed?" He asked his best friend. "Yeah, I tried calling you, but you wouldn't pick up!" Kuwabara said sitting back on his couch watching Jerry Springer. "We got to talk."

Yusuke told Kuwabara about the World championship tournament. "Whoa! I am totally going to kick ass!" Kuwabara yelled. "Its not that simple! Koenma thinks the winner is going to have his powers used for something else. That's why we have to win!" Yusuke said. "Well what are we waiting for? Lets train!"

They both packed their stuff and told their parents they were going to `camp'. They walked to Genkai's mountain house and began to train. Yusuke could see that Kuwabara had been brushing up on his techniques. He was actually trying! After the session they both lay on the ground exhausted. "So Urameshi, can you still turn into that demon thing." Yusuke thought. He hadn't done it for a while and wasn't sure if he could do it again. He stood up and began to charge up his power.

"Grrrr," He said trying to enrage himself. He could feel the demon inside himself. Kuwabara watched in amazement. This is probably why he could never beat Yusuke. His father is a friggin demon! "Raaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Yusuke bursted out with energy, but didn't turn into his demon stage. He fell to his knees. "You okay Urameshi?" "Yeah, I'm fine." Then there was a man who came out of Genkai's house. The two both turned around as soon as they felt his spirit energy. "Who is that guy? He's…red!" Kuwabara said almost frightened at the man's enormous spirit energy. "Don't worry, Kuwabara. It's my dad."

"That's your dad!" Kuwabara said with a surprised face. "He's so powerful!" The Red demon walked down the stairs with Poo on his head. Poo flew to Yusuke with excitement. "Poo! Nice to see you again!" Yusuke said. "What's up dad?" Yusuke said wiping the smile off his face. He knew if his father was here, something was wrong.
