Harry had sleep uncomfortably against a tree so when Shadow woke him up with a kick to the ribs he was very sore and stiff around the shoulder and neck aria, plus it hadn't helped when Shadow kicked him. He got groggily to his feet rubbing his neck while muttering about his rude awakening. He pulled his robes straight and noticed that there were holes in the back of his robes where the wings came out. Then Shadow said "baka come on", and Harry was snapped back to reality and followed him to the clearing they met last night. When he got there he could see the castle standing still and silent against the sunrise giving no evidence of its current demon occupation, he saw the Spirit Detectives except for Kurama all standing apart from Attica and Parko and Algernon while Ron, Hermione, and Neville stood near them, Kurama was nowhere in sight. Harry yawned again and stood next to Ron and waited for what to next. But then Hermione asked, "Where's that Kurama, shouldn't he be here". Hiei said shortly "he's still sleeping I'll wake him" and he nodded over against a tree and they saw a bit of red hair peeking behind the tree where he was sleeping, Hiei bent down and whispered something in his ear and he was awakened in an instant and said angrily "Hiei you little…" but stopped and shook his head and laughed slightly before getting up and joining the others.

Algernon waked a tree with her tail in impatience and said irritably "well now that were all here and awake lets begin your first day of demon training, now the first step is to change back into demons, but it might not hurt as much this time, but like I said before I can't make promises, so change into demons and let the training begin". Harry nodded and put the gem to his palm again; the transformation came more swiftly this time and when his bones lightened and his wings grew out it hardly hurt like last time, but strangely his eyes burned slightly. When it was finished he felt much better and the soreness was gone, then he realized that his vision was blurred so he took of his glasses and waited to start. Algernon paced slightly waving he tails absentmindedly while Snape's cloak rippled slightly behind her, then she turned to them and said, "now we have to train you separately first, so you have to pair up with one or more of us who's current talents are similar to yours, o.k. Hermione go with Kurama, Ron go with Hiei, Harry go with Parko, and Neville… go with shadow and Kuwabara". They all separated to their new trainers and Harry walked over to Parko, he was about to ask what to do first but Algernon walked up and mouthed something but Harry couldn't hear it, then Parko mouthed something back but in the same silent tone. Harry wondered what was going on but Algernon cleared her throat a bit and said "we were speaking in a language to high for you to hear, Parko can only speak in that language so I will be your translator for now". Harry nodded in understanding and followed Parko and Algernon deeper into the woods until they were at another clearing.

Parko mouthed something to him and Algernon translated "now you have to learn to fly, it's not just flapping your wings, you have to leap from the ground and catch either the wind or a thermal so you have to have a good amount of altitude to really fly, try jumping". Harry nodded and bent his knees and his wings spread instinctively, he paused and wondered what to do next and decided to wing it (no pun intended) and just jump and flap. So he pushed himself forcefully off the ground while sweeping his wings downward and he launched into the air and erupted above the canopy and rocked into the sky.
