Chapter 3:demons and spirit energy

The blur turned into a pointy looking black thing. Kayune turned just in time to duck to the ground and be missed by something that was apparently very sharp. They looked over to see that the thing, which had come speeding at them, was indeed not a pointy thing but was in fact a person whose hair was styled up to where it looked pointy. He was kind of short and was wearing a black cloak type thing and every thing besides a white bandana and something looking like a strange kind of white scarf thing in the collar, was black. Kyo stood from his position of being spread-eagle on the roof and yelled, " WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!!" the short man didn't dignify his question with a response though, he just `hned'. Now Kyo was pissed. You don't just go around attacking people who are minding their own damned business without a fair warning.

The short one was about to attack, when they heard a voice coming from somewhere close by, " Hiei, you should really verify that they are criminals before attacking." The short man who was apparently named Hiei, allowed himself to glare at the newcomer whom he obviously knew. The new comer had ruby-red hair that fell to the middle of his back, he was wearing all pink and so Kayune and Kyo just stared at him for several minutes before turning back to this so called Hiei whom they discovered was no longer in that area and was in fact stand by the gentleman wearing pink. The short one was speaking in a slightly enraged voice, " I can sense that they are demons" at this comment he was interrupted by another newcomer with a green jumpsuit on and greased back hair. " You know Hiei, just because they're demons it doesn't mean that they're evil. I mean, look at you, if I said that all demons are evil and should be locked up, you might destroy the renaissance fair."

Another entered the clearing just in time to say," yeah shorty you shouldn't attack until you know they're bad." The short one just glared and said," I'm surprised you understand the concept, stupid" the one who had recently entered the clearing and had short orange hair, had an enraged expression on at that and yelled," WHO YOU CALLIN' STUPID?!" the short one smirked at this while rubbing the ear that was closest to the newcomer and said, turning to the one with long red hair," it hopeless Kurama, he cant even tell when I'm talking about him." The one called Hiei flitted into a nearby tree before the one called Kurama had to dodge a large rock that had been thrown in his general direction. Hiei was standing right beside the orange head when he said," you have the most horrible aim I think I've ever seen." He flitted away again just as the orange head attempted to hit him. Then the orange head created something that looked remarkable like a large shiny stick and waved it around threateningly while shouting," HEY! GET BACK HERE SHRIMP AND FIGHT!" Hiei who was now back on the roof by Kayune just `hned' again and said," why would I fight such a worthless human?" Kayune and Kyo who were now sitting watching the things in front of them unfold just shrugged in a nonchalant way and said," I don't know, but you did seem to be enjoying it." Although he had attacked them only moments ago, they liked this guy. They felt as if they had something in common with him, although they didn't know why. Hiei sat down next to them and also watched what was happening

" So who're you?" Kayune asked the little man. Hiei didn't know why but he felt compelled to give these people his name, so he did," Hiei Jaganashi. What's yours?" the last part kind of slipped out but he couldn't change that know. He just slightly surprised that he had said such a thing to a human, although he didn't show it. He was also surprised by the woman's name.

"Kayune Sohma, and that's my twin brother Kyo."

Kayune… he had heard that name somewhere before, he just didn't know where. There was silence from the three as Hiei went into deep thought, Kuwabara however, was very loud and had still not realized, like every one else had, that Hiei was up on the roof.
