Star continued to chit-chat with the other girls, until her best friend arrived... with all of his cousins!!! This was going to be wonderful!!! but... the fire elemental was missing, oh well.

"Introducing, Lord Shodo." he walked in, and every single girl in the room ogled. Star stifled a giggle, she knew that Shodo was gorgeous, but, growing up with him seemed to make her not notice it so much anymore. His black hair, which he wore in a ponytail, matched his black eyes, and his being tanned only made his eyes match better.

"Lord Sliho." This was his cousin of light. White hair, not like Star's, her's was of a pure starlight white, while his reflected every color on some level. It made him look more like a rainbow than a person. His sky blue eyes didn't help, as they gave his rainbow a background.

"Lord Yumiko." Ah, water. The sustainer of life. His dark blue hair and ice blue eyes offset each other perfectly. He would have interesting children.

"Lord Dirk." Earth, the most stable of all the elements. He had a build meant for strength, but Star knew otherwise... He had the sweetest of soft sides, which he only showed to her, and a select few other women.

"Lord Bril." Last, but definately not least, the Wind Elemental. He was built for speed, and was a very agile hunter. Star smiled, remembering the first time she met him.

~~~~~Flashback~~~~~

Star strolled through her father's favorite garden, smelling random flowers, and stopping only to pat a few squirrels on the head. BAM!!

She was knocked on her butt, flat on the ground. She began crying, not even seeing the young man, who had run into her, begin to panic, running for his calmer cousin. Dirk had been brought to the crying girl, and had succeeded in calming her down enough to ask what had happened.

She sniffed, "He," she pointed to Bril. "He ran into me, and knocked me down. He didn't even apologize!!" Her eyes burned holes in Bril's head, as he slowly apologized, and begged her for her forgiveness. She palced a hand on top of his head, and instantly sensed his quiet demeanor. She now realized that he had not sensed her, and she forgave him.

He kneeled before her, and she told him that he'd earned her forgiveness. He automatically perked up, thanking her several times before departing to continue his task that had been interrupted.

She sighed, that had been the only time that he'd seen her. She giggled at the thought of his surprised face when he saw how she'd changed.

"Star!!" Someone called, "Star!! Come over here!!"

"Coming!" she identified the speaker, and turned to head over and join Shodo, to talk to his cousins.

"Girls, I'm going to talk to Shodo, ok?"

"Ok." they murmured through their stupor.

Star giggled, and headed towards her most recent guests.

Upon arrival beside Shodo, she was instantly very self-consious, as every one of his cousins sized her up.

Dirk recognized her first, "Princess!!" he smiled, and hugged her.

"Yes, it's nice to see you too, Dirk."she said as she pulled away from him. She then looked around at the others. Shodo knew her too well to expect a hug, since he had visited her recently. Yumiko and Sliho had never met her, but instantly liked her for her loving nature.

"Princess Star?" Bril spoke up.

"Yes, Bril?" she blinked at him, and cocked her head in a questioning manner.

"Princess!!" he rushed over, and hugged her also.

"It's been a while, but I thought you'd remember me." she smiled, while removing his arms from around her shoulers. "I guess I was right." she giggled, leaving a very dumbstruck group in her wake as she moved toward a different group of people.

"Hello, milord. Have we met?" she said to Rage's back. He instantly whirled around, and gazed at her with those intoxicating hazel eyes.

"No," she could tell that he liked her at first sight, but wanted to be sure. "Would you like to dance with me, Lady Star?"

"It's just Star, and yes. I would like that very much, but..." she looked around, "there is no band. Where is the music to come from?"

He chuckled, and said, "From this," and he produced a medium sized black thing from somewhere, and sat it down. She was getting interested, and watched in amazement as he loaded a disc into the strange contraption, and pressed a button. Music began emitting from the peculiar box.

"Wow. What is that thing?" she looked everywhere, but couldn't quite qrasp the concept of a small black box making such beautiful music.

"It is called a CD player." he chuckled at her amazed expression, "That thing I put in there? that was a CD, or a compact disc. The music is recorded on the disc, and the player reads it."

"That's amazing."

"Now, let's dance, Star." he took her by the hand, and pulled her out onto the dance floor. The other couples quickly followed suit, and soon everyone was on the dance floor, with or without a dance partner.

well? are you happy? they're getting to know each other better, and no! I didn't forget the other couples, they will have their own moments after everyone has settled in.
