SISTERINLAW19: You are very welcome!! I’m glad I was able to clear that up for you, and as much as you love reading my story, I love reading the review’s of my story!! I’m not sure who pair Kagome with, I was thinking someone like Yusuke or Koenma? What do you think?
Nyuka: Thank you for your review! I think it’d be too common to pair Kagome up with Kurama, really, I mean, with every Inuyasha/Yu Yu Hakusho fic, its always Kagome paired with either Kurama, Yusuke or Hiei. So I think I agree with you, not on the fact that Kurama’s spirit is to old, because in my fic, Kagome’s soul is just as old if not older. O-O, oops….
Miyukii: I hope you DO continue to bug me, I love it when I get allot of review’s!! Thank you for your review-and I know I say that allot, but its true!!
Jinnie: Thank you for your review, I do try and keep up on my type-o’s and try and catch them as I type!
Rainstorm61879: Thank you for reviewing and being so brutally honest, seriously, we learn best from our mistake’s!

Chapter Five
~~
I sat on the porch, the open shoji door revealing my untidy room behind me. Before me was a beautiful courtyard, full of plant life, a pond with koi fish and sakura blossoms. A false bridge leapt gracefully over the koi fish pond, wrapped through with vines and flowers.
“Kagome?”
I looked over my shoulder to see Shippou and his mate Azuka. She bowed to me respectfully, her silver hair up in an ornate twist, held in place with lunar flower’s, and vine’s. She wore a silver and pearl white kimono with a full moon on her back with a lunar flower at the base of her spine. Shippou wore his normal kimono, his long red hair held back in a high ponytail. I watched them through hooded, exhausted eyes.
“I feel old, Shippou-kun.”
I said with a sigh as I turned back out to the garden.
“You did participate in one of Japan’s most deadliest, most top-secret wars to ever exist, Kagome. You just came back from that. Its no wonder you-.”
“Its not that Shippou. I’ve been here for seven year’s. It’s the Shikon no Tama. Its exhausting trying to keep constant control over it.”
The forest kitsune I had known as a baby say down beside me with a fond smile. He set a hand on my shoulder and I smiled back at him.
“You exerted yourself unnecessarily. Get some rest, Kagome You’ll feel better.”
“Maybe you’re right.”
I didn’t believe myself.
“Of course I’m right. Now, Azuka and I brought over some food, are you hungry?”
My stomach answered for me, and I blushed, shooting him a humble smile. He snickered and rose to his feet.
“C’mon. Azuka is very interested in you.”
“Oh?”
The silver kitsune smiled with a small bow and a sly grin.
“I am very interested in you, my lady. The Mother of my husband, a human? That and the Keeper of the Shikon no Tama. Quite impressive, my lady.”
I smiled as I knelt before the low table as Azuka and Shippou set out their food.
“Help yourself, Kagome.”
Shippou said with a wink, reclining back on one arm and kicking up a knee. His mate didn’t seem to notice and kept a beautiful posture.
The forest kitsune grabbed two rice balls, shoved one into his mouth and devouring it before starting on the second.
“Shippou-kun! You’re eating like a pig!”
I hissed softly; teasingly. The kitsune blinked, then smirked and licked his finger’s.
“Was not, I didn’t spill a single grain.”
Azuka cleared her throat, and without looking, reached over to her husbands shoulder, plucked off a grain of rice and popped it into her mouth, then carried on with preparing the tea. Shippou cast her a dry glare. She in turn smiled faintly.
I giggled at them and picked up a dumpling, nibbling at it as I studied the antics of my adopted son and his wife.
“Did you have a human wedding, Shippou-kun, or was it demonic?”
“Both.”
He answered with a wink.
“We got married first in human tradition, for it was my way. It wasn’t until much later that we had a demonic joining.”
I arched an eyebrow as Shippou cast his wife a hungry, sly glance. Azuka simply smirked softly, her actions never slowing as she poured us each a cup and passed them out.
“What, exactly, does a demonic wedding entail?”
“Blood. Pain. Sex. Typical bonding of the soul’s, the Marking Ceremony, and then after, which is spent fostering the union.”
Shippou rattled off with a wave of his hand as he ate another rice ball. Azuka smiled.
“Shippou-kun could hardly contain himself.”
“I don’t get how not being able to touch intimately and speak intimately would foster a union.”
“Its in the mind and soul, Shippou-kun. Your heart must accept the union before the relationship can bloom.”
The forest fox shrugged under the gaze of his silver mate, then turned to me.
“Anyway, got any idea where you’re going after this? I mean, being Immortal in this day and age can get annoying and boring very quickly.”
Azuka smiled.
“Not if you know where to look.”
“As in the Maikai?”
I questioned, which brought the gold eyes of the silver kitsune to me.
“Correct. The level’s of the Maikai are almost untraceable and many have not even been breached yet; including by the S Rank demon’s.”
“Not even Sesshomaru?”
Azuka closed her eyes while Shippou looked away. Fear gripped me.
“What? What happened?”
“Sesshomaru’s… Not been heard from, for over three hundred year’s. No one knows where he is at.”
“I spoke with him, you gave me the mirror.”
“That was only a window, which is directly linked to him and can only be used once. Beside’s, when I left the Maikai, I was still young, only a hundred years old.”
Shippou’s tone was subdued, eyes cast down in shame.
“Then I shall find him.”
“Nani?”
Shippou blinked.
“I will search the Maikai for him, for training to enter the Dark Tournament.”
“You’re entering the Dark Tournament?!”
Both Azuka and Shippou gasped, the forest fox a little more loud and shrill than his silver counterpart.
“Aa.”
“Kagome, you know what fighting does to you. If you think you’re exhausted now, just think of what will happen if you enter that Tournament.”
“I fully understand the consequences of my enrollments, Shippou-kun. I also understand that if I am to be stuck like this with the Shikon no Tama, then what better place to start my training than in the Maikai, where I can both defeat evil like I’m supposed to, and hone in on my skills to controlling the Shikon no Tama.”
Shippou sighed and touched his forehead, shaking his head slowly.
“You’re worse than Inuyasha when it comes to fighting when your like that, Kagome.”
“I understand this, Shippou-kun.”
I said with a sigh as I looked out the shoji door’s. Azuka lifted her head, the lunar flowers in her hair shifting with her movement as the vines hold the length in place, tightened and slithered at her command. Before my eyes her hair went from a twist to a ponytail, wrapped in vine’s.
“I think it will be the perfect learning experience for the young Keeper. After all, she will have to learn control eventually; that she wishes to do so on her own is very honorable.
“Arigatou.”
She dipped her head at me and Shippou groaned.
“Don’t encourage her, koishii.”
He whined, Azuka tsked and looked back at me.
“When will you depart, Kagome-sama?”
“The moment I am able to.”
“What about Souta?”
Shippou asked seriously, picking up his tea and taking a sip. I mimicked his idea and shrugged.
“That will be up to him. If he wishes to further his training, he is welcome. If not, he will remain here.”
“You know as well as I do, that Souta would follow you to the Dark Tournament, if you let him.”
“I just might.”
Shippou snarled suddenly.
“That’s suicide!”
“It is his choice, Shippou. I can’t refuse him, not after I’ve taken over his training in this world.”
“Has the Shikon no Tama really changed you that much Kagome? The Kagome I knew, would give herself to the enemy before she allowed anything to happen to a loved one.”
“I am still me, Shippou-kun. But time’s are changing, my blood-line must be strong to withstand the weight of the Shikon no Tama. Nothing will happen to Souta so long as I stand by.”
“And should you fall? What then? Souta will be left defenseless.”
“Of course not. Steps will be taken to remove Souta at once, should I fall in battle.”
The forest kit glanced at his mate, then at me.
“What kind of steps?”
“I have learned many spells since I became Keeper, and some even more; and many more just through instinct and the Shikon no Tama’s influence. My brother will remain safe and sound, even should I fail.”
Shippou frowned and crossed his arms.
“If you’re sure.”
“I am.”
The kitsune’s shared a look that I didn’t understand, before Shippou recaptured my attention.
“Azuka and I have friends in the Maikai. They will know of your coming and will aid you however you see fit. Through them, you will have contact to us. Be sure to update, ne?”
I smiled and nodded.
“Of course, Shippou-kun.”
~~
Two weeks have passed since then, and I regained all of my strength. Rejuvenated and recovered, I began to pack my things.
“You are leaving? Where will you go?”
Genkai stood at my door, watching as I packed with her hands behind her back.
“I will go the Maikai. I will seek something that has been lost for over three hundred years.”
“Oh? You will go alone?”
“My brother will accompany me.”
“Just the two of you?”
“It will be enough.”
Genkai smirked.
“You’re overconfidence will get you killed, girl.”
I answered with my own smirk.
“Perhaps, but more often than not, it has saved my life.”
“Hmn. What do you seek?”
“Training, and an old friend.”
Once packed, I said my good bye’s to Yukina, Botan and Genkai. On my trek down the steps leading through the mountains and forest back into the city, I ran into Yusuke, Kazuma and Suiichi.
“Oh, I see your all better.”
Yusuke observed, looking to the backpack over my shoulders. I wore a worn pair of jeans and a loose t shirt. Plain clothing, as they were loaned to me by Shizuru, Kazuma’s sister.
“Of course.”
:Hm. Took you long enough.:
I didn’t spare the fire demon a glance as I looked at Kazuma.
“Tell your sister she will have her clothes back tomorrow.”
“Will do.”
The carrot top responded with a grin.
“Where will you go now, Kagome-san?”
Suiichi asked and I smiled fondly at him.
“I will seek training. The Dark Tournament will take place in four months, ne?”
“Aa.”
All three boy’s answered and I smiled. I looked into the tree’s, and though I could not see him, I knew he was there.
“Well then, I can’t wait to see how you’ve all improved.”
“Like wise.”
Yusuke said with a wink. I bowed at them, then made my retreat. As I came to the side walk, Hiei suddenly appeared at my side.
“Hello?”
I said, shocked and startled. He glared up at me.
“I over heard you with the Genkai. If you are to go to the Maikai looking for someone, or something, you will need a guide.”
“You are such a guide?”
He glared at me again, before looking away.
“Aa.”
“Fine! But no one else, this is mine and Souta’s training.”
“As you wish.”
He grumbled softly and disappeared. Frowning, I set towards home, hefting the straps of the backpack higher on my shoulders.
“Hey Kagome! How are you feeling?”
Souta greeted me at the door and took my bag. I sighed and toed off my shoes.
“Better. I have good news, Souta. I’ve decided to further our training. If you’re interested, that is, in going to the Maikai.”

Sorry about the mix-up with Shippou and Sesshomaru. I fixed it though! Thank you for bringing it up to me!
