Ithilelda: Hey everyone!

Sesshoumaru: ahem!

Ithilelda: Oh yeah…I still gotta pay you for taking care of that angry mob. (Hands Sesshoumaru Tetsusaiga) Here ya go…as promised

Sesshoumaru: Finally Tetsusaiga is mine!!

Inu Yasha: Hey that's my sword! Give it back!!!

Sesshoumaru: Only if you can catch me…brother. (Sesshoumaru disappears)

Inu Yasha: Damn! (Runs off shouting "Sesshoumaru!!! Get back here!!")

Ithilelda: This should be fun to watch. (Popcorn and an armchair appears and Ithilelda sits down) Let the show begin!!!

Old Friends and New Obligations

Chapter 7

Kagome ran up the steps to her house as fast as she could. She couldn't wait to introduce Inu Yasha and the others to her cousin and her new friends.

"Inu Yasha will throw a fit about me hanging around with so many guys but it's not like I'm his mate or anything so it's none of his business." Kagome thought.

Yusuke and the others were still only half way up the steps as Kagome bounded over the last step and raced off.

"Damn!" said Yusuke irritably," I've never seen so many steps in one place!"

"Indeed. One wonders how Kagome-san does it everyday." Kurama replied

"Hurry up you fools. I refuse to wait forever." Hiei said coolly from the top of the stairs

"Shadup pipsqueak!!! You just wait `till I get up there!!!" Kuwabaka yelled about ten steps behind everyone else.

Kagome ran into the well house and jumped down the well without as much as a thought for those behind her. She drifted through the vortex that had, at first, made her a little nauseous. She landed in the feudal era and jumped out of the well.

"Another benefit of training with Inu Yasha." Kagome thought briefly.

She ran down to the village and into Kaede's hut without thinking or stopping. Inu Yasha, Miroku, and Sango sat there with Kaede discussing something but they stopped when they noticed that Kagome was there.

"Hello my child." Kaede said," And how are ye today?"

"I'm okay" Kagome answered.

"That is good. Ye might want to sit child. I have something…" Kaede was interrupted

"Hey grandma Kaede. Do you think…?"

Kagome couldn't believe her ears. He was dead. He couldn't be talking to Kaede. She turned around slowly.

"………Sh…Sh…SHIPPOU!!!!" Kagome cried with tears in her eyes as she pulled the little Kitsune into a hug.

"KAGOME!!!!" Shippou said, just as moved

"But Shippou, I thought you were dead." Kagome said shakily after she had released him.

"I was, but this nice lady came up to me while I was a spirit and told me that you needed me and that some man named Lord Koenma was going to bring me back to life. Next thing I knew I was back in my body again. I just dug my way out of my grave and came here." Shippou said

"I'm so glad!"

"So am I. When I showed up I thought papa Inu was gonna cry. He grabbed me and hugged me and then he hit me on the head and told me never to do that again." Shippou said innocently

"I did not!!!! I was just happy to see you, that's all." Inu yelled.

"Anyway," Kagome said," I got this problem see…Naraku has shown up in the future."

"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone yelled

"Yeah, I was shocked too. Anyway I talked to someone and all of you guys get to come to the future. But before we go we gotta find Kouga and Sesshoumaru because they are coming to." Kagome said

"Ain't no way those two are comin' to the future with us! I'd get put in jail for beatin' up Kouga and can you even imagine what Sesshoumaru would do in your time?!" Inu Yasha screamed at Kagome

"I know it's risky but we gotta do it. We are gonna need all the help we can get." Kagome said sternly

"Lady Kagome has a point Inu Yasha." Miroku interjected," So far all of our attempts to destroy Naraku have proved fruitless. Perhaps if we teamed up with those two we would stand a chance of winning. I know it will be hard for you to work with your brother and your rival but you must try…for Lady Kagome's sake."

Inu Yasha's "never in a million years" looked faded away at the mention of Kagome's name. Miroku continued,

"If Naraku has indeed gone to the future as Lady Kagome says then it is most likely for one purpose only…to destroy Lady Kagome." Miroku said solemnly

The group sat in a hush, all of them staring at Kagome.

"He…He can't!" Sango said worriedly," I won't let him!"

"I believe we all feel that way Sango. I shall go with you Kagome." Miroku said

"Naraku isn't going to touch my best friend. Not if I have anything to say about it." Sango added, swinging Hiraikotsu onto her back.

"I'm comin' too!" Shippou said

"Mew." said Kirara

"Tch. Whatever. I guess I can't let my shard detector die." Inu Yasha finished coolly.

"Inu Yasha!!!" Sango shouted.

"Sit boy." Kagome cheerfully said," Let's go guys. We gotta get to the well."

"Damn that girl!" Inu Yasha said through a mouthful of dirt," She always knows just how to piss me off!!!"

About half an hour later everyone was ready to go. Kagome had them check one last time before they jumped.

"Alright. We're ready. We jump in pairs. Inu Yasha and I will go first. Shippou and Kirara next. Then Miroku and Sango. Sesshoumaru, you Rin and Jaken can jump together because I don't think that Jaken would survive a jump with Kouga. Kouga you're last. See you guys on the other side!" Kagome said

She went to the edge of the well followed by Inu Yasha.

"Ready Inu Yasha?"

"Yeah."

Then they jumped. Shippou grabbed hold of Kirara and then they followed. Miroku walked to the well's edge and looked in.

"It's a long drop." he observed

"Are you scared…Monk?" Sango asked

"No, merely making an observation." Miroku answered

Sango stepped to the edge and grabbed the Miroku's arm.

"Lets go." she said as she pulled him in.

When they appeared on the other side they greeted by shouting.

"Sounds like Inu Yasha has picked a fight already." Sango mused

"That would seem to be the case." Miroku replied when they reached the top.

Inu Yasha was yelling at a red-haired boy.

"You callin' me rude flower boy!!!!!"

"I was merely voicing an observation based on what I saw." Kurama replied

"I'll show you an observation!!!" Inu yelled as he reached for Tetsusaiga.

The rest of them appeared in the well house and it was time for introductions.

"Sit boy." Kagome said, "Okay let's get this started. Yusuke and gang, the guy whose face is currently in the dirt is Inu Yasha. To my right are Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Kirara. To my left are Lord Sesshoumaru, his servant Jaken and his ward Rin, and Kouga."

"Nice to meet you all." Kurama said

"Whatever." said Kuwabaka and Yusuke simultaneously.

"Hn." Hiei grunted

"Okay guys. This is my cousin Yusuke Urameshi and his friend Kazuma Kuwabara. The demon with red hair is Kurama and his short black-haired friend over there is Hiei. They're gonna help us destroy Naraku. I'll leave you guys to get acquainted while I get us some drinks." Kagome finished as she disappeared into the house. At Kagome's disappearance silence ensued.

"So…"Kurama said
