Lol hee, hee, hee I forgot the disclaimer last time so instead of writing it every chapter this blankets the whole story… I do not own InuYasha or YuYu Hakusho, they are owned by 2 wonderful and creative people who are not me… but the idea behind this story is mine and that is all…

 

Sorry that it took so long to update but hey my brother loves his computer games and he's the baby of the family so this is the fastest I could update… sorry but the next chapter will take a while… R&R plz! Thanks guys XoXo

 

 

Chapter 2 - starting off

 

 

Kagome woke slowly but this time in no pain, she cracked her eyes open wincing at the light. She opened her eyes fully and looked around finding that she was lying on the ground with the Spirit Detectives, Botan and Koeman sitting or standing around her. She sat up quickly and almost blacked out, she grabbed her head and put her head in between her knees to stop the black speckles dancing in front of her eyes, her vision cleared and she lent back slowly against the desk the was behind her.

 

“Well that was fun… can I have a drink of water or something? How long was I out?”

“Here,” Yusuke said passing her a glass of water “Um just a couple of hours, all in all you've been here for about eight hours, how you feeling?”

“That long? I'm so dead; he's going to kill me! Shit, I have to get going…” Kagome replied startled, Koeman just nodded saying,

“Yeah you should, and you four are going with her. How long do you think you'll be this time?” Kagome though for a second,

“At least a month, InuYasha wont let me leave before that, um… I think I can convince him to let us, or at least you guys go in about two months, no longer than that,” she frowned slightly, as if a bad thought had crossed her mind.

“What do you mean, let us go? Why not you?” Kurama said worry on his face.

“Um, well he kinda doesn't like me to go home that much… it really annoys him…”

“Right well I'll organize for your schools to think that you're at a retreat or something… you have 30 minutes to get your stuff together and tell your parents. Botan take them to their houses, then to the Shrine please.” He motioned for them to leave; Kagome thought of something at the last minute and turned towards Koeman,

“Hey, what's my human day?” Koeman looked startled for a second before saying,

“Uh, the new moon, how did you know about the human day?”

“Um, InuYasha is an Inu Hanyou, his human day is the new moon too, oh and do you have something I can use to conceal this part of me? `Cause my mum's going to freak if she sees me like this.” She explained.

“Oh… yeah I knew that! Here, this bracelet will hide your appearance.” she smiled and took the bracelet that he offered before walking out through the portal.

 

Botan took each of them to their houses, and then when they were finished packing and explaining to their parents or in Kuwabara case his sister, Botan then picked them up again and dropped them at Kagome's shrine, thankfully at the top of the stairs, they could here yelling from inside the house, they ran towards the house and the voices, the door was open so they entered quickly and ran into the kitchen where the voices were coming from. This was a scene that none of them expected to see, they stood there in shocked silence while Kagome and her mum yelled at each other.

`Well this is unexpected…” Kurama said to Youko and Hiei. “Wow who knew such a small girl had such a loud voice, imagine how loud she'll be when she's screaming our name!” Youko said projecting images of Kagome under them, Kurama groaned mentally “hn, do you have to?!” Hiei said mentally “yes” was the answer they got.

 

“Mum! I'll be fine! I can protect myself!” Kagome yelled at her mum.

“That's what you said last time and look what happened! You obviously can't and I can't rely on InuYasha or any of your friends there! You're not going and that's final!”

“I don't have a choice! I'm the only one who can sense the shards! I promised mum! I'm eighteen next week! You can't stop me!”

“Fine! If this is more important then us then go!”

“Mum, don't do this again!” she pleaded.

“Just go! You're not even my real daughter anyway!”

“Mum what the hell do you mean?!”

“You're adopted! Your real parents abandoned you! Just get out of my home!”

“Mum…” Kagome whispered

“Get out!” she screeched, Kagome grabbed her backpack and pushed past the boys that stood open mouthed at this turn of events, she ran out to the well house and slid the door open.

 

She waited for the others at the edge of the well, they came in and she refused to meet anyone's eyes.

“You all have to be touching some part of me for this to work,” Yusuke reached out and took her right hand while Kurama held her left, Kuwabara and Hiei each grasped a shoulder. She took a deep breath before telling them to hold on tight and jump, they jumped together, there was a flash of blue light and they found themselves in Feudal Japan.

 

Kagome started to climb up the rope ladder on the side of the well, when she reached the top of the well she asked Yusuke to throw her bag up to her, they climbed out of the well one by one, when they all were out they started walking down the path from the well. InuYasha came down the path towards them, he stopped and started yelling.

“Hoi, Wench! What the fuck took so long?! Why the fuck did you bring these four? We don't need more weaklings, you fill that category enough!” the boys were pissed, how could someone talk to Kagome like this? Hiei wanted to kill him, how dare some one talk to his Kagome like this! Wait his Kagome? No, it was just a slip. Wait when did he call baka oonas by name?! This wasn't good... Kurama was having trouble keeping Youko under control he wanted to tear this baka apart for treating such a beautiful woman like this, especially after what she went through! Both youki growled, Yusuke cracked his knuckles and Kuwabara glared at the hanyou. Kagome however just looked at him then shouted,

“SIT!!! My name is Kagome! Sit! Ka-go-me! Not wench or bitch or anything else you come up with! Sit, sit, sit, sit, sit, SIT!!!” with each `sit' he slammed into the ground hard. The others just stood and stared at her. “Fucking baka…” she whispered, and continued walking, stepping over the prone hanyou as she went. The others followed her gingerly and before long they found themselves in a village.

 

Kagome walked up to one of the huts and paused, turning to the boys she said,

“Um just wait here for a second, ok?” she then turned back to the hut and walked in, happy voices rose from inside, the sound paused for a second then Kagome came out again this time she had a small kitsune boy on her hip followed by a girl wearing the traditional tajia uniform and a boy wearing monk robes.

 

They stared at each other for a moment before Kuwabara took one of Sango's hands saying,

“Pretty lady, will you go out with me?” Sango stared at him for a second before hitting over the head, not a hard as she hits Miroku but still hard enough to bring stars to his eyes. Kagome was shocked.

“Sango? You feeling ok? You do realize he's still conscious don't you?” She asked feeling Sango's forehead, Sango pulled away from her hand.

“No I'm fine, I just didn't - he just - well at least he didn't ask me to bear his children!” Miroku smiled at that.

“Have you changed your mind Sango? Lady Kagome have you reconsidered?”

“No way in hell Miroku!” Kagome said sharply stepping back quickly to avoid Miroku's wandering hands; Sango on the other hand wasn't fast enough. Miroku managed to grope Sango's backside before she knocked him unconscious.

“Damn henti… you think he'd learn!” she muttered.

 

Shippo started clambering up Kagome until he was sitting on her shoulders.

“Mummy? Did you bring me any pokey?” He bounced. She laughed,

“Yes sweetie, I brought pokey and some more paper and crayons. We can draw to night ok? `Cause I think InuYasha is pissed at me…”

“Can't think why!” Yusuke snorted. Kagome pulled a face at him.

“Hey Kags? You want to introduce us?” Sango said wondering at their relationship.

“Oh yeah, sorry about that, it's been a big, BIG day. Um, this is Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama. Um, I don't know what type of demon Yusuke is, they didn't tell me. Hiei is a fire/ice hybrid, Kurama is a kitsune avatar, from how he feels he's a silver kitsune, and Kuwabara has high spirit powers.”

“And you?” Miroku said (he had felt something different about her aura) Kagome started to fiddle with her bracelet, her friends just looked at her. She sighed.

“Red kitsune, but I'm only part demon. I made a deal and this was one of the consequences.” Sango smiled at her and wrapped her in a hug.

“What deal? That can wait, show us! Come on!” Kagome laughed at her best friend's enthusiasm.

“In a sec, can I finish the introductions first? Right this is Sango, last of the demon slayers, Miroku, Buddhist monk and pervert, and Shippo, my adoptive son, he's a red kitsune. Oh yeah, you met InuYasha, he's an inu hanyou. And here he comes…” true enough they could here a loud sound of trees crashing and cursing.

“So while he's working off anger, show us what you look like!” Sango demanded.

“All right…” Kagome took of her bracelet and her appearance changed.

 

“Wow, mama you look so beautiful! Hee hee hee, wait until Kouga sees you!”

“Oh god, I didn't even think about him! He's never going to leave me alone is he?”

“Nope and you can deal him yourself this time!” Sango said laughing at he friend.

“Aww, Sango! That's just nasty! I'm your best friend you have to help me!” Kagome begged, laughter in her eyes. Sango was just shaking her head.

“Oh god you're so mean!”

“You love me.”

“You're lucky.” Kagome grumbled.

“I know it.” The others watched this exchange with interest, Hiei spoke.

“You're a Demon Slayer yeah? Why are you so tolerant of demons? Isn't your job to kill demons?” the boys hadn't heard Hiei ever say so much!

“My parents told me there were two types of demon; those that mean harm and those that don't. I'm not interested in genocide; I would be killing my best friends.”

“Hn,”

 

InuYasha had finally worked off the majority of his anger and had stomped over to them, he wasn't happy that Kagome was a demon now.

“Wench, since when are you a demon?!”

“Since about three hours ago, and don't call me wench!”

“I'll call you what ever I want, you're only a cheap copy anyway!”

“Sit! I'm not that bitch's reincarnation! I'm Midrokos!”

“Feh! As if! We're leaving now anyway!” Kagome glared at him.

“In a second -.”

“No, now bitch!”

“Sit! I'm going to say goodbye to Kaede first!”

“Fine! Hurry up with the Hag!”

“Sit!!! She's not a hag!” this time he didn't get up straight away and Kagome stomped off to find the old priestess. The Spirit Detectives looked after their newest member then to the hanyou on the ground. InuYasha picked himself up and jumped into a tree to sulk.

“Ok… are they actually friends? Or do they hate each other?” Yusuke had to ask.

“Um, it's complicated. But we think that they're friends… well at least Kagome is his friend, we don't know if InuYasha is her friend… as I said, it's complicated.” Sango tried to explain.

“And he always treats her like this?” Kuwabara asked pissed at InuYasha because his treatment of Kagome went what he believed in.

“Actually this was reasonably nice…”

“What?!”

“Yeah, sad isn't it?” just then Miroku decided to grope Sango. She turned around and punched him so hard he went flying into a tree, he didn't get up. She cursed and ran over to check his pulse, his heart was still beating so she left him there.

“I take it that happens a lot too?” Kurama asked with a smile.

“Unfortunately… hey he isn't going to grope us too is he?!” She said pointing to Kuwabara. They hastily reassured her that he wouldn't touch her because it went against his code.

 

Kagome appeared around the edge of one of the huts holding a bow and quiver. She walked up to Sango and the others, glancing at Miroku she said,

“Again?” Sango nodded and Kagome sighed. “You do realize we have to walk now?”

“Shit! I didn't think about that… do you think we could wake him up?” Kagome looked doubtful, then she brightened. “What are you thinking?”

“There's an ice cold stream just over there…” She grinned, Sango grinned back.

“Remind me not to piss you two off,” Kurama smiled.

“Just don't grope or proposition us and we'll be fine…” Sango told him. Kagome and Sango each grabbed an arm of the fallen monk and dragged him the short distance to the stream, they smiled at each other then heaved him into the water.
