Chapter 6: The Hiccups Continue

Kagome woke up with Miroku in her chair sleeping on her desk and Sango laying on a cot on her floor. Kagome got out of bed as quietly as possible and went to take a shower. She turned the water on hot and let it warm up for a few minuets. She started to strip of her clothes, and then her bloody bandages. When she finally steped into the shower she let the water flow over her entire body. She let it slide in and over her sliced skin, and over her brused and discolored bumps. She let it flow into her very, very, very sore and almost broken soul. She put her hands on the wall in front of and to the side of her and she wept. She wept while the water flowed over her skin, the pitter pater of the water hitting blocking out the sound of sobs and steaming up her bathroom.

She got out of the shower and looked in her mirror at her blurry figure. She wished every one could see like they were looking at her foggy mirror. You can tell people are there, but you can't see there figure and coulden't judge by their flaws. If every one could see like they were looking at her foggy mirror every were would be a better place, somewhat. She got a towel and dried off putting on her school uniform. She brushed her hair and put it up in a pony tail. She brushed her teeth and then went down stairs and started breakfast. Not much later Miroku and Sango came in the room.

"Are you going to school today?" Miroku asked looking at her uniform.

"Mumm humm. I'm getting some help." She said setting down 3 plates with eggs on them.

"Mental help? You really dont need it!" Miroku said looking shocked. Kagome just looked at him and then laughed. Sango just sat there eating looking pissed off like she always did in the morning. Sango, was not what you would call a early bird.

"No I'm getting help for finding my dad's killer. I'm getting Kouga to help me." She said and went back to eating her eggs.

"Your still looking for him. Kagome I know you want to get back at him for your father, but this is going to drive you off the deep end! And why bring in Kouga?" He asked shoveling what little of his eggs he had left around his plate.

"Why Kouga? Because he has his gang every were, if something happens he knows. Thats what I need!" Miroku sighed finishing his eggs and putting his plate in the dish washer.

"Yes but, Inuyasha... well he's rich and he can get that kind of thing. And well as you said you were friends when he died and a while after he would understand and help you!" Miroku sighed. "I trust Inuyasha more than Kouga. And I'll talk to him if you dont want to." Kagome scoffed.

"Of coarse you trust Inu better your still friends with him!" Sango yelled puting her plate next to Miroku's in the dishwasher. "So just leave her be!" She screamed spun around and punched him as his hand driffed down to her lower parts.

"Your so beautiful when your angry Sango!" She just kicked the stupid pervert who was now on the floor and walked off. Kagome laughed.

"You two are so cute together!" She sqealed running after Sango. They came down in a few minuets. They walked down the steps and got into Dragon Fire (A/N: Her car) and went to school. About halfway there Kagome started to cuss slamming her fists into her steering wheel.

"Whats the matter?" Sango asked, in a much better mood now.

"DAMN IT!! DAMN IT ALL! I forgot to go check in on Souta yesterday! DAMN IT!!! I PROMISED I WOULD COME SEE HIM!" Sango just rubbed her back.

"Watch the road. Dont worry he knows your under a lot of stress, and he knows your hurting right now. He'll be ok with it." She said. When they finally got to school they were late. None of them really much cared. Sango and Miroku went to their frist class.

Kagome barged into Kouga's first class. "I need to see Kouga!" She told his teacher.

"Do you have a pass?" The teacher asked.

"NO I DONT! BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT! YOU ARE GOING TO LET ME SEE HIM AND LET ME SEE HIM NOW!" She screamed at the teacher. Now this teacher was a very sober teacher, just kind of mellow. But he had heard about Kagome, and he was scared of her.... needless to say he was dreding having her next year.

"Oookkk, Kouga." The teacher called, but he was already out the door with Kagome. They walked down the corridors untill they got to the front doors, they went outside to one of the little groves of trees.

"You wanted to speak with me love?" He said pulling her into his lap. To his surprise she didn't fight him at all about it.

"I need your help." He was about to say something but she turned around so she was sitting on his lap with her legs on either side of him, and put a hand to his lips. "Shh, just let me talk. You know the murder case about 8 years ago, the one about Draguran Higurashi. Well he was my dad. I've been trying to find his killer and have been getting no were. Now my time is getting down to the wire, I need some help. I think... mabye it had to do with the Iccy... I mean Acci, you know whatever."

"I have heard of them, been in bissness for years. Some dude named Onigumo used to rule then he died and his son Naraku took over. I have one good source on them, I'll help you." He said running a hand through her hair.

"Yay! Well thats not all, if something.... if something happens to me I want you to make sure Grandpa and Souta go to either Sango, Koruko, or oh ya ...forgot Inuyasha's family. Swear it Kouga, they will be taken good care of or I will come back from the dead and kill you!" She said growling the last part.

"I swear. I don't know why you think something will happen to you, but if it does... which it wont, I will make sure they get taken care of." He said nudging his face closer to hers.

"Oh ya.. make sure they take Buyo, my cat! They have to take care of my cat too!" She said. Kouga just nodded before he closed the space between them, locking his lips with hers and pulled her closer to him. She just slapped him and then smiled as she went to get up.

"I want a report tomorrow at lunch." She said and walked off.

What they didn't know was an angry Inuyasha, worried Sango and Miroku, Annyoed Yusuke, amused Kurama, and inticed Hiei were all watching the two through the window. All taking it there own little way. [A/N: OO la la! Who should i put her with? Inuyasha, the old friend. Kouga, the new found help. Hiei, the challenge. Kurama, the comfort. Yusuke, the partner. Or mabye even Miroku, the best friend!! ^-^!! Vote tell me what you want!! Review!! Oh ya there is another option. I could make her and Sango lesbians... who would like that??]

Kagome walked over to her car and got in. She knew Kouga was watching her but she didn't care, every thing was going to be taken care of soon. `Now all I have to do, is write it up and say good-bye to Souta...' Kagome turned up her radio and drove off to Souta's school. She stopped in the parking lot and walked straight to Souta's class.

"Excuse me Miss Nami! I need to talk with Souta for a minuet, can you spare him?" She asked. The teacher nodded and Souta walked out into the hallway with his sister.

"Arn't you supposed to be in school?" He asked.

"Yes, but i had to check in on you. I didn't have a chance yesterday. Are you ok? Is every thing ok with Shippo? Is grandpa ok?" She asked

"I'm fine, Shippo's great were having a lot of fun. Grandpa is really sober, but normal none the less." [A/N: Sorry I love the word Sober!!] He hugged his sister.

"Good, I'm going to have you guys stay over there for a little while long, I have a lot of stuff to do. Tonight I'm going to drop Buyo off at Sango's, So you Kohacku and Shippo can all play with him and Kilala" Souta looked like he was going to cry.

"Why! I wan't to be with you! You were almost killed by our own mother! And now your never around! I wan't you to be around, I want you with me! I don't want to loose you! I never had dad! I just lost mom! I can't loose you too!" He said, he was crying now. His little frame shook with sobs. Kagome just held him close.

"Your not going to loose me! I'll be here, dont worry. You know my cell number. If you want to talk just call me on that ok, any time at all!" She said rocking her brother back and fourth and wispered things into his hair. Finally he stopped crying and looked up at his sister. "Now go back to class, and have fun. I'll come and see you and Grandpa as much as I can." He stood up and she kissed his forhead as he walked back into his class.

"Ok... so now I guess I have to talk with Grandpa." She said and got up and went back into the parking lot. "Then I'll go see mom..." She wispered and got back into her car and drove over to see Grandpa and Sanrou. It took about 15 minuets to get to Sanrou and Koruko's house. She got out of the car, and walked the few feet from the street to the door slowly. She nocked on the door and Hiroki opened the door.

"Kag.." But Kagome has pushed her aside.

"I need to talk with Grandpa alone... just for a little bit, I'm sure Koruko already knows I'm outta school, no worries." She said and walked to the back door and walked outside to find her grandpa sitting in the swinging chair near the trees at the edge of the yard. "Grandpa!" Kagome said running up to him and gave him a hug.

"Kagome, what are you doing?" Her grandfather asked completly serious.

"Ok, so I think the Acci killed dad, or someone like that, and they sent someone after me yesterday and asked me to join them. I scared him away, well I have Kouga helping me now so things should go faster. I'm going to find whoever killed dad and kill him."

"Kagome!" Her grandfather said hitting her on the head with his walking stick. [A/N: Raffeki! Haha old baboon!] "Leave this to the police!" He said getting red in the face.

"We did remember, they called it a cold case and quit with it. Now Its my job to pick up where they dropped off. But thats not why I want to talk with you. If something happens to me, I made sure that you and Souta will have someplace to be. But whatever happens to me Souta has to think I got killed in a car accident. NO MATTER WHAT GRANDPA GET ME!" She said the last part loudly and slowly to make sure he understood.

"Nothing is going to happen to you! Because I'm not going to let you do this." He said with an old man's stubborn isnm.

"Its out of your hands grandpa I'm sorry. Good-bye." With that she hugged and kissed her grandpa good bye, for what she thought might be the last time and walked through the house and back down to her car. Hiroki and Sanrou rounded on Grandpa after she left.

"Whats going on old man?" They asked. And he told them, with tears in his eyes, he told them what his only Granddaughter planned to do.

Kagome drove down to the hospital and went to talk with her mother.

"I'm here to see Yuri Higurashi." She said to the woman at the front desk.

"I'm sorry to say... but she, she seems to have... broken out... escaped you could say." Kagome turned pale white and slowly walked back to her car and drove back to school. She almost got into 4 car accidents and almost drove into a dtich about 3 times. She stumbled into school and soon as the bell ran into someone.

"Kagome... whats the matter? Kagome!" They person asked.

"My mom... outta the hospital, broke out.... noo....." after that her mumbles were incoherent and the person took her to the office, to see Koruko. That person was none other than .....

Yes I know this is shorter than my other chapters, but what do you think? Review for who you think it should be, I have an idea but I might change it if I get enough about one person.
