Chapter 1. Kagome and Yoko



(With Kagome)


"Mom, I'm going back to collect shards!"

"Ok dear! Be careful! The last thing I need is Inuyasha to come through the well and tell me that you were kill by a blood thirsty demon!"

"Mom, you worry to much. I haven't been hurt yet and never will."

"All right dear don't be gone too long because your going to a new school when school starts again!"

"All right! Later!"



With that said and done Kagome went to the well house and jumped down the stairs and down the well. Over the three years Kagome was in the Feudal Era she had grown. She was now five inches tall and filled out in all the right places. Her midnight black hair was now down to her knees, but was always in a ponytail. She no longer had on the clothes she used to. She now had a very elegant battle kimono. It was white during the day and black during the night so she was not easily spotted. The design of the kimono was a vine with red roses on it that spiraled from the top to the bottom. She also was no longer defense less. Sango had trained her in the art of Demon Exterminator. She now carried a bow and quiver of arrows along with a sword. Miroku thought her how to make ofuda (A.N. I'm not sure that the spelling is right if not let me know.) and sense demon aura's better. Keada trained her to be a miko. She could now make bows and arrows out of energy along with a sword, staff, create a barrier, purify all humans and demon within a ten-foot radius, and heal people and wildlife. Shessomaru even taught her hand-to-hand combat. As she neared the bottom of the well the familiar blue light surrounded her. When she looked up she saw the blue sky over her head. She easily jumped up out of the well. She began to walk to the village but she heard talking so she decided to investigate.


"Inuyasha what are you going to do live with my incarnation or me?" asked Kikyo.

"I'm going to live with you, Kikyo. I promised that I would stay with you forever and I will keep that promise," stated Inuyasha

"Inuyasha, to prove to me your loyalty you will kill my reincarnation so I can have my soul back and live again."

"Alright Kikyo. I'll kill Kagome tonight, stated Inuyasha.

Kagome couldn't believe it. The person she thought of as a big brother was going to kill her. Without another thought she ran. She ran to the village and to Sango and told her what she heard Inuyasha say and said that she was going to hunt the jewel shards by herself. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo agreed and told her to be careful and that they would see each other at the final battle with Naraku. Then Kagome left. She no longer carried her huge yellow pack. She now only carries a small color changing cloth with first aid kit in it along with her weapons and that is it. For some reason she headed to the North. She traveled for three days until she came upon a huge bear demon with five shards in it. One in both arms and legs and one in its forehead. The bear was a lot smarter than she thought possible. It knew how to defend and attack its attacker. Every time she attacked with her sword it would heal itself again. So she tried something new and charged her sword with miko energy. That did the trick. The bear demon didn't have a chance to survive after that. After Kagome found the five shards in the demon's ashes she went to set up camp. After she set up camp she went to the hot springs to have a nice long soak. Now Kagome missed Sango and wished she had brought her with her. After her bath she fell asleep in a tree on the highest branch.

(With Yoko)

I was running through the forest after just finishing a steal. I smelt what were lilies and jasmines. So I let my curiosity get the best of me and followed the scent. I came upon a young woman up against a big bear demon. I thought that I would let her fight it until I thought she needed my help. To my surprise she didn't need my help at all. She defeated that demon in about five minutes. I saw her gather five little shards the looked like shards of the Shikon No Tama. Now I was really impressed! This human had beaten a demon with jewel shards. She then left the clearing and went in search of a camp I think. I of course followed her. I was correct in the assumption that she was looking for a camp.



What I wasn't expecting was for her to leave again. She went to a hot spring and started to get undressed. To say she was beautiful would be an understatement. She was drop dead gorgeous. I was almost disappointed when she got out of the water and started to get dressed again. So I followed her back to camp then to my further surprise she jumped to the highest branch in the tree opposite of me. After I was sure she was asleep I let my barriers drop and started to think. ' Why was I so interested in this girl' * because she beat a bear demon with five shards without any help from anyone. * 'Who the heck are you?' * I'm your conscience* 'Get real I don't have a conscience' * Of course you do, but not everybody talks to theirs. * 'So why are you talking to me now?' *Because you found this girl* 'What does she have to do with this?' *That's easy you like her and don't even try to deny it I know everything about you because I am you. * ' What ever. I think I will follow this girl for a while to see what she does with her time.'
