Chapter Eight: Kasumi

Kagome couldn't sleep. She was too scared to sleep. Have you ever had a nightmare that scared the Hell out of you, and then the next night you were too scared to got o sleep for fear it would come back? Well, that's how Kagome felt, except 10 times worse. So, she got out of bed. And she walked outside. She stood under a cherry tree and looked up at the stars. She checked her watch. 3 A.M. `Just 2 more hours to sunrise!' she thought happily, yet sleepily. She grabbed her head, which felt as though it would explode from her headache. She needed sleep. And right now, the ground looked so-welcoming. And who was she to turn down an offer? And so, she lay down, and fell asleep.

~Kagome's Dream~

Kagome looked around the darkness. Then, Kasumi appeared. You could tell that she and Lani were sisters, even if they had different appearances. Kasumi walked over to Kagome and helped her stand up.

"It's good to finally see you, Kagome. I trust Lani has told you who I am." Kagome nodded. "Good. I will not be of much help yet, I'm afraid, but shall be later on. I am here to tell you that you will be joined by another. You must train hard. Train Fox with the sword or bow. Yusuke and you can help train each other's spiritual energy. But take heed of my warning's sister. You must complete the task within a year. The well will be open next year, the very day you left, and that shall be your only chance. We sisters will allow your friends to travel through the well, but if you fail to get there in time, there will be no second chance. Sleep well now, sister. Lani shall come and talk to you before Bliss comes," Kasumi said. Then with a brief hug, was gone.

Lani soon appeared, scaring the wits out of Kagome. "She's a bit formal, huh? And mysterious. Not to mention repeats herself. Oh!" She looked around worriedly. "Don't tell her I said that! Anyways. Sooooo, ya know what ya gotta do right? Hopefully you'll be able to do it, Hun! We'll check in every two weeks. Take care now," Lani said, hugging her. Then Bliss came and gave her sweet dreams.
