Chapter 2~It Begins!

~~~After stepping out of the portal Into the Makai, Hiei realized that he didnt have anything to go on. He didnt know what the stupid Ningen looked like, didnt have a clue as to what sort of demon took her or a scent he could follow. With a curse and a growl he stepped through another portal and popped out close to the shrine where the ningen girl lived and where she was abducted. He went directly to the well house and picked up on the newest scents that lingered. He smelled several but the strongest ones were that of a human female, a Inu Hanyou and a cobra demon. From what Koenma had told him the Inu hanyou was no doubt her companion from the fuedal era. Again he cursed Koenma for leaving out details. So the centeries old Inu hanyou could travel from the fuedal era to the present with her could he?? Interesting.

~~~Filing that information away he follwed the smell of the human girl to where it lingered the strongest. climbing onto a tree next to a window he silently led himself inside what he was sure was her room. He quietly looked around and on a mirror upon her wall she saw several photos. Apperantly she had taken pictures of her companions in the fuedal era for in the pictures he saw several people. Alot of them contained an angry looking silver haired, dog eared Inu hanyou, he didnt look happy about taking the pictures and Hiei couldnt blame him. In a few there was a ningen girl in a green and white sailor suite that was clearly a school uniform, different from the ones Keiko wore, but no doubt a uniform. So this is what she looked like huh? She was small, petite, with slender legs and an average body for a girl her age. She had long black hair a big goofy smile and big blue grey eyes. She was cute, but nothing special he thought. He looked over the other people in the pictures. There was a few of another ningen girl with a large smile and big brown eyes, she was wearing the traditional if not outdated outfit of a demon exterminator, then again in her time it wasnt outdated, but in his it was. Then there was a whole bunch of a small red headed fox demon who was but a pup. He looked way to hyper and way to happy for Hiei's taste. In some of the pics with the kit and the exterminator was also a fire cat demon in both its demon form and its smaller neko form. The last pictures he went over were ones of a young man who wore the traditional garbs of a monk from the fuedal era. Black and purple robes with a gloved hand with prayer beads around it. He wore his hair in a short pony tail and had a staff with rings on it. So these was her companions from the fuedal era huh? They didnt look like much.

~~~After snooping around a bit more in her room, he decided he gathered all the information he needed and went back to the well. There he sniffed the scents around it and caught and logged in the scents of both the ningen girl and the cobra demon. The cobra demon was no doubt her abductor. Cobra demons were cunning and fast. He could see the cobra sneaking up on the ningen with speed and stealth before she could sense him. Following the scents to where they dissappeared in a small thatch of trees, he had Koenma open a portal to the makai. There he caught up with the days old scent of the cobra demon and the ningen.

~~~Kagome had ceased being scared long time ago. Right now she was frustrated and mad. When she had opened the well house door and had come face to face with an ugly reptiled demon with red eyes and huge fangs she had screamed and before she could do anything the demon had struck quickly and hit a pressure point on her kneck, knocking her out cold. She had woken up a few hours later with a massive headache and chained to a wall. She had screamed when she realized she was naked. Her clothes no where to be found. She had been soo confussed. Then she heard voices coming from outside a small window next to her. The chains allowed movement but kept her a good distance away from the door. It was just barely long enough for her to peer out the small window if she stood on her tippy toes. What she saw made her gulp with fear. Oh Gods Kagome, your not in Tokyo anymore, or the fuedal era to boot. She thought. The sky outside was a wierd pinkish color, it wasnt natural that was for sure. And from her view point the small market place just outside was not ordinary market place. Instead of humans going to and fro from booth to booth, there was demons of all types sizes and colors. The vendors were also demons and were selling some very odd things, things she had never seen before, some she didnt even want to guess at and others just to gross to linger on to long.

~~~There was a stand not far from her window and she saw the cobra demon who had kidnapped her there, he was shouting into the crowd that was gathered around the small stage, as he pointed to the many attributes of the humans that stood on the stage in chains. They looked haggared and scared, thier heads bowed down in defeat. There was about 5 females and 3 males. They were all dressed in what looked like burlap bags, that barely covered thier modesty. Well at least they had something covereing them up, she thought vainly as she looked down at her nakedness. Then she realized what was going on. The demon was selling them, as slaves to other demons. Shivers ran up her spine at the realization. She felt sick. Demons didnt care much for humans, this she knew. She could only guess why any demon would want to buy a human. Either as food or slaves. Kagome did not like either choice, but if she had to choose she would choose being a slave, not that it was any better really. Demons often treated thier human servants harshly.

~~~Oh Gods what am I going to do? She thought. She couldnt watch anymore as human after human were sold off. Instead she cowered in a corner and tried to call upon her miko powers to free her from the shackles around her wrists. It didnt work. It was like the demon who had kidnapped her knew she was a miko and had taken great pains to use chains that repelled her miko powers. After a few long agonizing hours the door had opened to her cell and the cobra demon had come in leering at her.

"You perverted freak!..why have you kidnapped me? What do you want?!" Kagome screamed at him, seeing the look on his face and doing her best to conceal and maintain her modestly while she was totaly naked before him. He just laughed at her which pissed her off more.

"You have fire little miko.." he replied in a smooth hiss like tone. So he did know she was a miko she thought.

"I can see why Lord Inari asked for you specificlly." he added with another lecherous fang toothed grin. Kagome kept herself from shuddering. Inari she thought. Wasnt that the name of a Shinto God?

"What would a Shinto God want with me??" Kagome asked absently. The cobra demon laughed.

"Lord Inari is no God miko, although his arrogance knows no bounds..he thinks it rather suiting to be named after a god who often took shape as a fox, since he himself is a fox demon." the cobra explained with a laugh. Kagome just glared at him.

"What does this fox demon want with me?" she asked through gritted teeth.

"He did not see fit to tell me of his plans for you, but since I am the leading dealer in Ningen slaves he commisioned me personally to find you and bring you to him...he is paying me quite a hefty price for you."

"And dont you care why he wants me?? why he asked for me specificly?"

"Not really...all I care about is the chase and the money..what my customers do with thier slaves is no business of mine....now get dressed...Lord Inari will be here to pick you up soon and he wants you cleaned and dressed..who knows maybe he has a thing for ningen women." he smirked as he walked out and a group of female demons came in with a tub, water and clothes. Two male demons stood outside the door keeping guard, making sure she did not escape.

~~~Kagome had tried to fight the demon women..had refused to be complacent but frankly she really relished the bath and the clothes even if they were no more than a bed sheet tied around her toga style. She hated the fact that she had no undergarments on. Kagome should of been scared spitless..but truthfully she was just pissed. Who did this Inari think he was by kidnapping her?? and she really prayed Inuyasha came looking for her, when he found her missing he would search for her and Gods help this fox demon when Inuyasha found him.
