Chapter 8~ReEntering Inari's Forest!

~~~Kagome had realized that this spikey haired demon had resued her around just after sunrise. And he had yet to stop. They had left the castle and had ran into the forest, well he ran, she clung to him and fought back every jolt, rub and touch made between any part of her bare skin and his. It was torture. When she had suggested that she could walk he had just Hned and kept going, carrying her at a speed that would Sesshoumaru to shame. She was getting dizzy, nasuase and frustrated as all get out by the intense arousal she felt just being in his arms, thier bodies tight and rubbing against each other all day, not on purpose of course, but the effect was the same. By the time that the sun started to set, Kagome was mad. She had tried to get the ruby eyed demon to stop several times but he had paid little heed to her. Finally she had had enough. Grabbing his slick spiky hair with the hand that was around his neck for support, she pulled on it and yanked his face to look at her. How could he still be moving as fast as lightening as he stared at her with murder in his large eyes? Gods his hair felt good. Soft and silky, not at all what she had expected. Shaking her head of those stupid thoughts she looked back at him and gave him her best Inuyasha glare.

"Its getting dark...I want to stop for the night...I want to make camp...NOW." she demanded of the demon. His eyes narrowed at her and he looked like he wanted to rip out her throat. She had been threatened and glared at by alot of demons in her last few years, she was not impressed by any of them anymore. Ok Inuyashas glares could still give her the creeps sometimes and Shippo's puppy eyes could always make her melt, but those were totally different situations. Again she shook the thoughts from her mind. Why couldnt she just think of what was at hand? Why did her mind keep wandering?

"Did you hear me?" she asked with narrowed eyes as he kept zipping through the forest without taking his eyes from her. How could he do that?

"PUT ME DOWN NOOOOOWWW!!" Kagome yelled in his ear, knowing demons were especially sensitive to loud noises. Mistake that. Trying to shut the noise off he stopped dead in his tracks and let her fall as he put his hands to his obviously aching ears. Ok I deserved this. Kagome thought as she watched helplessly as the ground came closer and closer to meet her, since they had been running high up in the tree tops. She didnt bother to yell or scream, she couldnt even if she wanted to. It was like she was in some sort of morbid trance as she saw death coming up to meet her. Just when she thought she was about to finally hit the ground she saw a flash of black and bronze and was suprised to find herself back in the small demons arms on the ground.

"What the fuck is your problem you baka ningen?!..Do you WANT to die?!" he growled at her angerly, and Kagome looked up into his eyes and saw those ruby eyes flashing like fire. You know, he was really kind of cute actually, she thought, then frowned and growled herself for those thoughts.

"NO I dont want to die you stupid demon, I just want to rest ok? And you wouldnt stop..Im not a demon you know...I cant take the harsh pace your were setting and I need to rest...your were making me dizzy and nasuas, did YOU want me to throw up all over you?" she asked glaring at him. Hiei woudnt admit that her human growl that sounded alot like a demon growl had impressed him, but he still wanted to kill her. She was driving him nuts. She was in constant arousal which sorely tempted him and put him on edge, and to top it off, she was demanding and annoying.

"Your a weak ningen and I wouldnt have expected you to keep up with me, but since I was carrying your weak ningen ass I dont see the point of your bitching." Hiei replied with a scowl.

"Again your pace was making my head dizzy and I was feeling a pucky..and no one asked you to carry me so dont get all high and mighty with me you stupid demon..and no one asked you to rescue me so dont growl at me or I'll purify your snobby ass." Kagome replied with irritation and anger. Yes she had been hanging around Inuyasha way to long. She was not as nieve or as docile as she once was. She could give as good as she got. Just then a vine came out of nowhere and Hiei jumped up and away before it could get a hold of them, Kagome still in his arms. Kagome looked at the vine with wide eyes.

"THATS why I didnt stop before ningen..this forest is dangerous..and those stupid vines are everywhere...do you think I LIKE carrying weak ningens? And I was ordered to rescue you, if it had been my choice I would of left you to Inari." Hiei growled. Kagome glared at him. Just then another vine was headed thier way and before Hiei could move Kagome held out the palm of her hand and a barrier surrounded them and the vine shrivled into ashes when it his the pinkish bubble like thing.

"I am not weak demon...and who ordered you to rescue me?" she asked, ignoring the surprised look on Hieis face when the vine has disintergrated and the barrier she put up was still going and keeping the vines at bay.

"My boss Koenma, hes the prince of spirit world and monitors all problems concerning demons and thier reasons for being in the ningenkai..human realm..he sent me to rescue you when he found out a miko had been kidnapped by a demon and taken to the Makai." he explained with boredom.

"Whats the Makai?" Kagome asked.

"This place..the demon realm."

"You mean theres two diffrent realms? One for demons and one for humans?" she asked with intrest. No wonder she never felt demons in her own time. Somehow in the future demons and humans did not live in the same dimension.

"Yes...and why did you not use your powers before." he asked nodding his head to indicate the barrier.

"Inari had my arms shackled with special chains, they kept my Miko powers at bay." she explained.

"Can you keep the barrier up for long?" he asked.

"How long?" she asked.

"A few hours...your right...we both need some rest and if you can keep those damn vines at bay then we can both rest a bit before we head out again." he explained. he hated to admit any weakness but he was really tired, he hadnt slept in like a week now and he was getting a bit slow. A few hours of rest would help him greatly, and it would help him keep some distance from the constantly aroused ningen miko in his arms.

"I havent used them in a while so my power is at the max right now, I can keep it up for the rest of the night, but after that Im going to be drained and very tired." she replied.

"You can rest as I get us out of here, in the morning." he told her. She rolled her eyes.

"Whatever..is there a place near by where theres water? A place I can bathe? I need to get this oily stuff of my skin before I loose my mind." she stated as she surpressed the urge to jump the bare chested demon before her. She needed to get this stupid arousal causing oil off her skin and fast.

"Fine what ever." Hiei replied with a scowl as he scented the air and searched for a water source. He would not admit it but he wanted her to get that stupid oil off her too. it not only made her feel more aroused but it smelled soo good he himself wanted to bury his nose into her fragrant skin. And he would rather die than bed a ningen.

A/N~Okies heres the next chap, sorry sorry Ive not been updating and if anyone had kept up with any of my updates then ya know my muse is soooo taking a long vacation..so the updates are coming slow, she teases me with small snippets and I have to wing the rest..sigh anyhow I hope you like this chap and it holds up with the rest of the story..btw the next chap should have a little lime in it..hehe...till laters huggles and smiles Mija..:-)
