Chapter 12~Demon Hiei

~~~Kagome was going to be sick. She was thrown over Hiei's shoulder like a sack of potatoes, as he raced through the forest and dodged all sorts of odd plants and things that tried to get to them. This not only made her sick but sore. Her body was constantly getting jolted and bumped and tossed about as Hiei kept up his incredibly fast speed as he evaded all that got in his way. He was still in demon form and Kagome didnt know what to do. She was hurting and getting dizzy and sick from seeing the world pass her by upside down from his back, but she kept silent. She wasnt stupid. First of all Hiei needed to concentrate on evading those things after them, and then there was the nasty little problem of him being in feral demon form, and this form Kagome wasnt so sure about. She didnt know what he would do to her if she made a noise and distracted him, he might punish her, or kill her. And then there was the problem of what he was going to do to her once they were out of the forest and out of danger.

~~~After a few hours of all this speed and jostling about Kagome passed out. Her body was not strong enough to take this sort of abuse, so she just blacked out once all the blood rushed to her head. It had still been dark when they had started out but when Kagome awoke again, she vaguely realized that the sun was setting. Which could only mean that she had slept through sunrise and all day. Her head was pounding and her tummy did a few flip flops. But then she noticed that she was not with Hiei anymore. She was lying down on some sort of moss that felt incredibly soft and cushiony. She slowly sat up, her head protesting this action with fierce slams to her temples. She moaned but continued. She had to find out where she was, where Hiei was, and if he was still in his feral demon state.

~~~Once the pounding in her head calmed down a bit and she was able to shake the fuzziness from her head she looked about her and realized that she was in a shallow sort of cave. The entrance was only a few feet ahead of her, and thats where the suns light had shone through as it began to go down for the night. Damn she thought, how could she have been passed out for a whole day? And were they still in Inari's forest? Were they safe? Where was Hiei? She wondered, as she got up on shaky legs and shivered. She looked down and saw the remnants of her sheet still clinging to her form. It was nothing more than bits and pieces of rags. She was totally exposed. She wanted to cry. She was in a cave with no clothes, with who knows what out there trying to get to them, and a demonic fire demon who was in primal mode. At least he was last time she saw him, maybe he was back to normal? She hoped, but that hope died quickly when she jumped at the figure that lept through the opening of the cave.

~~~Kagome could see Hiei was still in demon mode. He looked wild and a bit scary. His body was still green with eyes all over them, his hair parted, his eyes dark and menacing. To top all that off, he had a dead rabbit in his mouth and she could see blood on his hands and claws. He looked at her and all his eyes seemed to narrow and glare at her as he began to growl low and threatening in his throat. Again she didnt know what he was saying but instincually knew what it meant. Stay put, be silent and dont move. So she obeyed. She sat back down on the moss and huddled into herself as much as she could, making herself as small as she could, covering her nakedness the best she could. She said not a word, as she watched him build a fire by the entrance of the cave, then cleaned and quartered the rabbit before he set it on the fire to cook over some rocks. Then she blinked and he was gone. She blinked again to be sure she was seeing right, then blinked twice more and just then she saw a blur and he was back. His body was wet and she noticed that the blood on him was now gone. Damn that was fast, she thought. Now what?

Protect.

Fragile.

Want.

Need.

Claim.

Mark.

Find Den.

Protect.

Feed potential mate.

Build Fire, my mate human, dont eat raw meat.

Warn Mate to stay in Den. Safe.

Clean self, for mating rites.

Eat first, then rutt.

Want.

Need her.

Want her.

Will have her.

Soon.

Eat first, feed mate, then rutt.

Rutt yess, Rutt alot...need to rutt...need human female...want only human female..need to claim her, mark her...mine...only mine....need....rutt....mate.....want....soon.
