Chapter 17~Kagome wakes!!




~~~Kagome woke up shivering. She was cold and she couldn't uderstand why she was so cold till she opened her eyes and realized she was naked. For a second or two she blinked about her, confused and disorientated on how the hell she had gotten naked. Then it all came back to her in a rush of memories and she blushed at what had almost happened. Ok so she wasn't an innocent school girl anymore, well innocent yes but not nieve. She'd been around Miroku and a very foul mouthed hanyou to long to be nieve for long. But where was Hiei? She looked around her and didn't see anything just a few of the left over tatters that remained of her sheet. Grumbling a bit she got up and sifted through the tatters, trying to figure out how she was going to regain some of her modesty with any of this when she came upon an idea. So she wouldn't be keeping much of her body hidden except important parts, but it was better than being naked she thought, plus she had worn even less once when she had worn a thong bikini to the beach, that almost gave her mom a coronary.


~~~Kagome looked at herself and her new outfit. She sighed at what she must look like but what could she do? At least she wasn't naked anymore, ok well totally naked at least. She had managed to gather a long piece of sheet that served to cover her breast, it reminded her of the things the women in the feudal era wore as bras, it didn't hide much to the imagination but it served to keep her hidden. As for the bottom part she found a piece of cloth wide enough to serve as make shift undies. Actually they didn't look so bad. They covered like a set of low cut swimsuit bottoms with knotted ties at the sides to keep them in place. Now that she was dressed it was time to look for her demon rescuer and get some answers from him, and hopefully some food because her tummy was telling her it wanted to be fed.

~~~Hiei had known the moment the human miko woke up from the den. His sensitive hearing had listened to every step and every movement she had made since waking up. At certain points had had wondered at some of the noises like the tearing cloth and such, but considering that she was now on her way out he might get some answers. Oh Kami how was supposed to look at her while she was still naked? It had taken a heck of a lot of his will power to stop his primal side last night. Now that she smelled of him and the beginnings of the mating ritual, she was even harder to resist. But he had to. He had done enough damage as it was, all he wanted to do was dump the miko back in her time and tell Koenma that his mission had been completed at last.

"There you are Hiei." came the miko's voice from below the tree branch he sat atop of. He glared down at her and was relieved to see that she had managed to cover most of her more private area's from view. Although she still looked too scantily clad in what she wore but he doubted that she could help it since her sheet had been shredded. He was lucky that she had been able to salvage as much as she did.

"Are you ready to leave now Miko?" he asked with an emotionless and detached voice. He could feel her heated glare upon him and resisted the urge to glare back down.

"Don't you think we need to talk?" Kagome asked with a little bite to her tone. Arrogant jerk. She thought.

"About what?" he replied offhandedly in that annoyingly cold tone he usually used. His dead pan facial expressions and cold tone could even give Sesshoumaru a run for his money she thought.

"What the hell do you mean about what? About last night, and why the hell you bit me!" she hissed through clenched teeth.

"What would you have me say Miko? I was in primal demon form last night…you've been around demons enough to know that there are only four things on the mind of a demon who has gone primal…to hunt, to feed, to find shelter and to mate." he stated blandly.

"WHAT!" she screamed.

"Are you telling me we are MATED!" she added with shock.

"Stop your insipid yelling human." Hiei growled, holding his ears from the pitch of her voice.

"Don't tell me to stop yelling! I think I have every right to yell don't you think demon!" she countered heatedly.

"No I don't, the mating ritual was no complete there for we are not mated and you know as well as I do that I did not take your maiden head so you are still pure, so stop your yelling and lets be on our way, I would really like to get this mission over with." Hiei proclaimed.
"Trust me demon there is nothing more than anything I would like more than to be rid of you." Kagome replied as she turned her back on him.


~~~Just then the clearing was alive with the sound of metal striking metal and Kagome whirled back around to see what it was. Her heart leapt for joy and worry when she saw that Inuyasha and Hiei were going at it with their swords. Both were fast and both blades deadly. She looked at the three others who had joined in the clearing. A very handsome redhead who harbored a fox spirit within, a boy no older than her with black slicked back hair with high spiritual energy and a goofy looking guy who had curly orange hair and a vast amount of spirit energy as well. She took this all in at a moments glance before turning back to Hiei and Inuyasha.

"How dare you lay a finger on her you fucking spiky haired freak!" Inu roared before coming at Hiei with Tetsaiga. Kagome bit her lip. Oh God Inu had a great sense of smell and could smell Hiei's all over her.

"What's it to you filthy half breed!" came Hiei's own response at he went after Inu with his Katana, only to have it blocked by Tetsaiga. If Kagome didn't do something soon, she knew one of both would suffer major wounds if not die.

"STOPPPPPPP IT NOOOOW!" Kagome yelled with all her might. The whole forest seemed to silence as both combatants stared at her with shock, as did the other three.

"Inu I will explain everything to you later ok? Right now all I want to do is go home please?" Kagome half begged and half whined. Inu could never resist it.

"We will finish this later short stuff." came Inuyasha's comment as he grabbed Kagome and let her climb onto his back.

"When ever you feel like dying half breed I'll be waiting." he responded, trying hard not to tear the hanyou apart. Just the thought of him touching Kagome was making Hiei's blood boil, although you couldn't tell by looking at him. But Kurama knew Hiei better and thought it would be best to get the miko and hanyou out of there soon.

"Botan this is Kuram, we have found Hiei and the Miko and need a portal to carry Inuyasha and her back to the shrine." stated Kurama into the communicator.

"Gotcha Kuram." replied Botan before a huge portal opened up and before anyone could say a word Inuyasha jumped through it with Kagome and was gone. Kurama heard a low growl emminating from Hiei and needed to do something before Hiei unconsciencly went after the hanyou and miko.

"Hiei? We must talk….Yuskae why don't you and Kuwabara head back to Koenma's and tell him that we found the miko and she is safe, as well as report to him the strange fauna and flora we found in Inari's forest." Kurama told them soflty. Yuske could be dense at times but even he could tell there was something not right and almost dangerous about Hiei right now and gladly let Kurama handle it.

"Come on doofus lets go report in to the toddler." Yuske replied as he grabbed Kuwabara and tugged him into another awaiting portal.

"Who you calling doofus you lame brain?" was the last Kurama heard as the two vanished into the swirling black portal.




A/N~ Okies I know its short and soooooo totally apologize for the long wait but my muse is still on strike, right now it has no want to write anything except my new fic and who knows how long that will last, im telling ya my muse is fickle. Sigh anyhow hope this chap did no dissapoint to much even though it was short. Will try to get another one out soon, much thanks and huggles Mija.
