Hey guys, what's up? I got an email from inubunny that really made me feel good.

It said that she really enjoyed my story and that it was addicting. And the other people made me feel good too. As soon as my computer stops being stupid I will tell every one your names. Ok well here I go on the next chapter…

Chapter 4: training

Kagome and kurama sat in the cool grass watching people pass by.

"what made you so happy today?"

"I don't know. I woke up and…I was ok."

Kurama looked at her. "I will make sure you find a way back to your time."

"oh so you want me gone." She teased.

"that is not it at all. If I were you I would want to go home."

"I'm not saying I don't but…I really kinda don't wanna go. I didn't tell about what had happened before I came here. I left that part out. It hurt to much to tell outloud. I guess I am still trying to forget it happened."

"what happened?"

"Inuyasha was with kikyo again…"

"hasn't that happened before though?"

"this time it was different. They have never done `it' and well…"

"he cheated on you?"

"no, how can you cheat on someone you don't love? It just hurt cuz he knows how much I love him and I was thinking he loved me just as much, then I found he had…sex with her."

Kagome turned her head away from kurama as tears soaked her face.

`god I'm crying. Stop! I will not cry over him any more! He doesn't love me!'

"kagome, I'm sorry it hurts you."

He put a hand on her cheek and wiped the tears away.

"thank you."

He put his hand down then spoke again.

"uh, in two days we have to go to a dojo. The person that lives there is genkai, she will be training you."

"training me? For what?"

"to fight. They said you had untapped powers that could make you stronger than Naraku. You just need to learn how to use them."

"why are we waiting? Can't we leave now?"

"I…uh…I guess we could if you wanted to."

"yes lets go!"

the two were at the dojo in less than an hour. They had driven a car to the edge of the forest then walked the rest of the way.

"Genkai, are you here?"

"kurama is that you? Why are you here early?"

Genkai walked out on to the front porch and looked at the girl.

"my name is kagome higarashi. I was told you were going to train me and then I wanted to know if we could start early."

The old woman was shocked.

"you want to start early?"

"yes if you will help me."

"of course."

"can we start now?"

"yes come inside."

Kurama and kagome followed genkai into the dojo then kagome was told to sit down on the floor infront of genkai.

"we are going to channel your energy into one place. Try to make it collect in your hands."

Genkai demonstrated it, blue light glowed in her hands.

Kagome closed her eyes and concentrated.

Within five minutes she had a small ball of pink light neatly floating above her palms.

"very good. This is called your spirit energy. This is what you will mostly be working with. We will train with swords, bows and arrows, daggers, and our hands. You will have to work hard. You have to put your heart and soul into this."

"I will. Don't worry."

Kagome looked serous about the work ahead of her.

"alright, now that you can channel your energy into one place try to form it into some thing."

Genkai formed her energy into a sword, as for kagome, a bow.

She held in her hand and genkai nodded.

"good now you will need and arrow. In the other hand form that."

Kagome formed the arrow but as she did her bow faded.

"don't worry you are doing very well for your first time. Keep trying."

Kagome formed the bow again but they were both almost transparent.

"try to put more energy into it. go ahead."

She took in a deep breathe then concentrated harder. The warmth grew in her hands.

"good job!! Now shoot the arrow into the tree."

She pulled the string back and released the arrow, but it faded half way to the tree.

"you have to keep the energy going even after you have released it."

"can I sit down for a minute?"

"of course you can. You are doing so well for your first day."

Kagome let the bow fade and sat on the steps next to kurama. Genkai had gone inside to get something.

"your doing good kagome."

"thank you. I am hella tired though. this is really tough."

"I bet it is. I didn't go thru this type of training. But it looks hard."

"here kagome drink this."

Genkai handed her a cup filled with a clear liquid.

"it is owl tears. It will replenish you and make you ready to train again."

She sipped it slowly. It kinda tasted liked peppermints, she could feel her strength returning to her.

"you ready to continue kagome?"

"ya lets do it!"
