Chapter 2: Black Collar

Kagome had gotten up from her spot on the floor after getting over her mark. She went up to her room and got out some clothes. She picked out a pair of black jeans that fit snug around the waist but were extra baggy at the bottom. She looked in her other closet and picked out a tight t-shirt that reads `God Doesn't Put Too Much On You That You Can't Handle' in a big circle and in red letters. She set her alarm clock for 6 in the morning so she could start her training. She would never stop training. She wanted to be as strong as they get. Before she went to bed she put black covers and sheets on her bed. It fits my new personality better. Kagome fell asleep the second her head hit the pillow.

***With Yusuke and Co.***

Yusuke and the others waited for all the lights to go out and then they made their move. They decided pairs would be a good idea so it was Yusuke, Kuwabara and Kurama, Hiei.

Kurama and Hiei went left while the others went right. Hiei and Kurama didn't have to search long. The first thing they noticed was the strong yet strange power being emitted to their left. They silently crept past rooms and came to a stop at a door that was slightly open. They peered inside and saw a girl sleeping in a bed with black covers and sheets.

Kurama talked to Hiei telepathically.

~Hiei, you go in first, I will go get Yusuke and Kuwabara and tell them we found her.~

~Hn.~ Hiei stepped inside silently and Kurama left to get the others. He stopped about half way into the room and took in the sweet smell of Jasmine, rain, Sakura blossoms, and honey suckles. It was such an intoxicating smell. He almost fell asleep at the calmness of the room and the girl's silent breathing.

He snapped out of it and came near her. He eyed her features with great interest. She looked so peaceful yet so sad. Her breathing was calm but her face read pain and hatred. He was fearful that if her were to touch her she would break into a million pieces. He carefully pulled back the covers and noticed she had on all black. He took his time to study her curves and perfect body structure. He gently put his hands under her back knees and her shoulders and lifted her in a bridal like manner.

He walked out the door and Kurama whispered, "Let's go." They walked outside and Yusuke silently called Botan. Botan came and smiled at the girl in front of her. She made a portal to the Spirit Realm and they all hopped in.

When they got there Koenma was restlessly pacing his desk and mumbling things like `Don't get killed' and `Horney detectives' . Yusuke smirked and whispered, "We're here Koenma." Koenma froze and looked on at Yusuke and the others.

"Good. I was worried you would fail." Koenma floated over to Kagome and studied her like Hiei had. Yusuke didn't appreciate his last comment and spoke.

"Yah know Koenma, we don't always fail." Koenma apologized and they followed him to a warehouse. In there they hooked Kagome up to a cord and put her up high off the ground. She stayed asleep besides a few mumbles of `Kill you' and `Damn'. They had to resist from laughing at her talking in her sleep. Kurama and Hiei didn't find it funny. They knew something was wrong with her. They figured she wanted to kill someone and they got away or something.

***Kagome***(in the morning)

Kagome fluttered her eyes open and she noticed that it was still dark. Then she noticed she was hanging from a cord up high in an old ware house. She panicked. "Hello?" She sounded weary but alert at the same time. Then lights flashed everywhere and she had to close her eyes to adjust to the new light.

Two boys and two demons stood below and….a baby? Kagome blinked a few times and then the baby spoke, "Hello Kagome." Kagome struggled under the cord. She didn't like the way the baby sounded. "I am Koenma, prince of Spirit World. I have brought you here because I need you to join my detectives on a mission." Kagome wriggled some more.

"You really think I am gonna work for a talking baby that had me kidnapped and hung up by a wire from a dangerous height? I don't think so!" Kagome twisted and turned.

"I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this. Botan!" Botan came in with a black orb about the size of a basketball and gave it to Koenma. Koenma pushed a button on the wall and Kagome was let down till she was about 5 inches off the ground. Koenma floated up to Kagome and she wriggled more when he came near her. "Hold still!" Kagome snapped at him a few times with her teeth and growled like InuYasha. She had made a large discovery while brushing her teeth in front of the mirror that she had fangs and claws. She managed to scare Koenma back to behind Yusuke. "Yusuke! You do it!" Yusuke shrugged and took the orb.

When he came too close Kagome had bitten one of his fingers making him bleed. "Damn! That hurt like shit!" Yusuke sucked on his index finger and gave the orb to Kurama who stepped forth.

He spoke gently. "I mean you no harm Miss Higurashi. Please hold still." Kagome wriggled more and snapped. Kurama managed to out it around her neck and it shrank down to about as snug as a choker or collar and a gem appeared in the front.

Kagome twisted and twirled and roared roars that sounded like that of a lions. Koenma pushed another button and it let Kagome down and the restraints gone. "Get this thing off of me!" She pointed to the chocker. "What is it?" Koenma cleared his throat.

"That collar will keep you from harming any of these people and myself and it will keep you from going out of a miles radius of them." Koenma pointed to Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, and Botan. Kagome closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.

"It is a collar? I am not a dog or a bitch yah know." Koenma gulped loudly.

"Yes I know that. But being a woman, you need to be retrained." Kagome flexed her claws. "You cannot kill or hurt me or them, you would be put under 250 electricity watts if you did that." Kagome took in another deep breath.

"What if they all separate? Then what?" Kagome crossed her arms.

"As long as you are a mile with in at least one of them you should be okay." Kagome nodded.

"Now what?" Kagome glared at Kuwabara and Yusuke, they had been staring at her since she saw them.

"Now you wait for me to give you orders." Kagome closed her eyes and walked over near Kurama and Hiei.

"Whatever." Kagome said coolly. The team shivered at her tone of voice (even Hiei) and they didn't speak for a while. "I need new clothes." She stated calmly.

Botan chirped in. "We could go! I need new clothes too!" Kagome smirked.

"Okay, but I want to make something strait. You are a human with a fox spirit?" She pointed to Kurama. Their eyes widened.

"Y-Yes. Yes I am." Kagome nodded.

"You are a Koormie and a fire apparition?" Hiei nodded. "You are a grim reaper." Botan nodded. "And you are part demon but also have high spirit energy?" Yusuke nodded. "And you, you have high spirit energy?" Kuwabara nodded. "Whatever. Just making sure I was right. Botan, you coming?" Kagome started to leave.

"Coming!" They left in one of Kagome's portals and were off to the mall!
