Chapter 5: First Flight!
Kurama and Hiei didn't know what she was talking about but they still worried something was wrong. Kurama asked. "Kagome what is the problem?" He sat on the bed and held one of her shoulders for emotional support.
Kagome was still panting and crying tears to stone and her wings had covered her face, as she wept. She whispered to herself. "I…saw them...*sniff* all of…them, my *sniff* friends…." Kagome cried and cried. Kurama and Hiei just watched and Light and Dark sat next to the bed.
"Who? When you fainted?" Kurama asked. ~Hiei! Look into her mind! Now!~
Hiei looked into her mind using the Jagan and was blown back about five feet, Kagome had stopped shaking and crying and a dead silence filled the room. "Hiei," Kagome said coldly. "If you want to look into my mind, ask. That barrier could have purified you," Kagome looked up from her feathers and starred at Kurama. "Don't ever tell Hiei or anyone ever to probe my mind again." She said it in a bitter tone.
Kurama just nodded while Hiei was still recovering the blow, he had a big headache now, that blast was too much for him. Kagome sighed, she knew Kurama and Hiei were going to want to know about her friends so she sent them images of her friends, Naraku, the well, and even Kouga and the others like Sesshomaru. They hadn't expected the sudden images of all of her friends and foes.
Kurama just kept sitting on the bed with a glazed look on his face and Hiei had forgotten about his headache when he saw Kagome's friends except InuYasha, in little pieces. But what got Kurama and Hiei the most was seeing her kit, Shippou, die and her cry for him and runaway. That was harsh. For some odd reason both of the demons wanted to kill InuYasha and make Kagome feel better.
Kagome retracted her wings and sighed. "I also have wings! Just great!" Kagome chanted something under her breath and her wings were invisible. "There." Kagome sighed and plopped down next to Kurama on his bed on her stomach.
Youko and Suiichi (sp?) were silently talking about Kagome to Kurama.
#she is perfect!# Youko said.
%I agree! She is perfect!% Suiichi said back.
&Not now!& Kurama begged.
#% I won't let you loose her Kurama!#% Suiichi and Youko yelled collectively.
&I understand you want her as a mate but you want everyone as our mate, well, Youko does anyway.& Kurama tied Youko and Suiichi in separate mental rooms and locked the doors. He stepped out of the link with them but not after Youko yelled. `I mean it!'
Hiei had other things going through his head. `Why must hanyous devastate everything? Why do I care?'
`I know why you care!' A male conscience yelled at Hiei.
`Go away, to the back of my mind you outgoing subconscious.' Hiei hated it. Every time he tries to talk to himself and he doesn't know about something the other him pops up!
`No! I want to talk to you about Kagome!' Hiei mentally groaned and rolled his eyes.
`What about her?'
`You like her don't you?'
`Who wouldn't? Look at her.' Hiei looked at Kagome and he heard his other half whistle.
`I won't let you slip this time! You need her!'
`Hn. I need no one.' Hiei locked his inner-self up like Kurama did Youko and Suiichi.
Both Kurama and Hiei had ended their psychological conversation with their `inner-selves' at the same time. Kagome was still lying on Kurama's bed, but she was humming something.
Hiei and Kurama carefully listened to the tone until Kagome broke out into words, in a different language, that Kurama and Hiei had never heard. It was Elvin; Kagome had learned to speak it and many other languages fluently. It was a lingering song and she had completely forgotten Kurama and Hiei were there. She sang it sadly; it was about her passed away friends. (I don't really know Elvin and really don't care!)
"Kayo manna hukaya; sssithhinaalala Sango. Deeriath ines deah, deah, deah. Shippou ayeyaha ohka; eeeyohowa notaaaaso. Wahginshi Miroku ines hhooeaye. Ines ooashi deah Kirara. Kayo, kayo hukaya." Kagome was in silent tears at the end. Kurama and Hiei had only one thing on their thoughts, `What a beautiful voice.'
Kagome looked to her right and saw Kurama starring at her, to her left, Hiei doing just the same. Kagome gulped. "I got to go!" Kagome was about to rush out of there but Hiei blocked her way to the door so she mad multiples of her fly about in the room while she escaped to the window. Hiei caught onto this sooner than she expected and right when she was about to jump out he grabbed her arm, to late. She was already in mid-jump!
She was about to fall with Hiei holding onto her arm but she thought for a moment and then she flew! Hiei was startled when her large black wings flapped in an angel like behavior. She had them reappear so she would look more angelic. He was still holding onto her hand and she was over five stories high so he didn't want to let go. She landed on a cloud. "Let go!" She tried to pry Hiei's fingers off of her wrist with his Kung Fu grip but failed. "Hiei! Let go!" Kagome pushed his hand off and he started to fall. She screamed and flew after him.
When she got near him she grabbed his arm right before he fell to the ground! She carried him to Kurama's roof. "Sorry. I didn't know you couldn't walk on clouds.
***With Kurama***
He had hastily gone after Kagome and Hiei but when he looked out the window he saw her flying. "That was close." Kurama walked over to his bed and saw the tear gems Kagome had mad. They were different colors? Why? He didn't know why. He put a green one in his pocket because extraordinarily, they smelt like Kagome.
He waited for them to return.
***With Kagome and Hiei***
"You can walk on clouds?" Hiei asked her amused at the situation for some bizarre reason.
"Yeah. I can do lots of things!" Kagome smiled but it faded.
They sat on the roof for a minute. "What language was the song you sang?"
Kagome blushed. "Elvin." Kagome turned away from him so he wouldn't see her blush. "It was a prayer song for my friends that died." Kagome held the swirl part of her shirt. She could handle it, but it would be hard, to live a life like this, alone with people she doesn't know that well. "Hiei, when you were younger, was life, bad?" Kagome wanted to cry at his next answer.
"When you are born a forbidden child, everything is bad. You cannot walk the streets without someone throwing something at you, just like how a hanyous is treated, but worse. We forbidden are abused by all, even hanyous." Hiei was looking up and hadn't noticed Kagome scoot over to him until a warmth covered his neck and left shoulder.
Kagome was hugging him. "Hiei, I am so sorry." She cried into his shoulder while her hands wrapped around his neck. To say he was shocked was an understatement he was so not expecting of Kagome's hug that he wasn't breathing. Was it what he said about his childhood that made her cry? She was indubitably crying for him. "I wish you never had to face that kind of life." Kagome stayed where she was.
He had loosened up some after a few minutes of her hugging him and was now nestling his shoulder with her forehead. "Think nothing of it." He said plainly, not coldly but just like he is bored. Kagome wrapped her arm around both of his arms and laid her head on his shoulder while she sang another song in Elvin.
"Do hara gou eyay oooaho jolamen guwapin shahinora. Fiiiingaayap toha sadingo bangalatowa towa towa aaah." It was about hard life. "Hiei gou en InuYasha shahinora eyay eyay. Wooolen jasenho. Kah in de owa de owa. Shahinora, gou en guwapin toha fiiiin. Cahilaenya oohharayay oooh a towa haran." Kagome cried some more.

"I know you will always suffer. Painfulness come riding down down here. Hiei and InuYasha suffer more more. Swollen inside. In the town the town. Suffer, and always come pain. Dieing in coldness more known." Kagome looked up at Hiei and let go of him with a blush over her cheeks. She had just sung in Elvin and in Japanese so Hiei would understand. She looked away and put her hands in her lap. Before she knew it Hiei was lifting her into the air. "Where are we going?" She asked.
He just kept running until he reached a forest far from everything. He sent Kurama a message saying they were alright. He jumped into a tree and set her down on a tall branch in front of him. "Was that about me and the hanyou?" Hiei looked into her eyes as she nodded. "Why do you care so much?"
Kagome lunged frontward and pulled him into another hug. She cried into his shirt. "I don't know!*sniff* I guess I just can't help it!" Kagome knew the real reason and she thought about how right Botan was right now, she had feelings for him.
