Wake Up Call

*Kags POV*

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

*SMACK*

"Kagome get the hell out of bed!" My father yelled up the stairs to wake me up.

`God just shoot me now'

"So tired"

"NOW before I have to come up there and wake you up!"

I bolt upright. No he wouldn't. Not right before school…….Would he?

"Kagome!"

"I'm up" I yelled down, I don't want him to come up. I never want to be alone with him.

I quickly get dressed in my favorite outfit. It's a black tight tank top with the words "Gods busy can I help you" on it in sparkly red and a picture of a female devil on it. With a pair of long black baggy pants with silver zippered pockets on the legs and chains hanging on the back of them in an "X" fashion. I am wearing black combat boots and black fingerless gloves that go up past my elbows. I put cover up on the bruises from last nights beating, lip gloss, and a little silver eye shadow. I grab my stuff and head downstairs for breakfast.

I don't understand why I let him beat me I mean at school I'm the one always getting in trouble for beating people up. But when he comes at me its like all my fighting ability leaves me making me helpless. I stopped struggling a long time ago knowing it hurts worse if I do.

*DING DONG*

`Oh shit my friends are here to pick me up.'

"Kagome your friends are here already and you haven't gotten to eat anything. I told you to get up earlier." My `father' said his voice full of false sympathy and care. HA To bad he doesn't know that my friends know what a bastard he is and find his act sickening. If he found out he just my try and beat them into not talking about it. I'd like to see him try to beat up Sesshomaru or Inuyasha they would tare him to pieces.

Maybe…. Naw I wouldn't want them to get in trouble because of me. It's not like they haven't offered they even said they have a "cleaning" crew who would take care of the evidence but I still don't want to risk it.

"Coming"

I walked into the foyer and find Sess and Rin trying not to show their disgust on their faces at his act.

"The rest are in the car, come they are waiting for us." Sess commanded answering my questioning look about where everyone is.

"Bye `Dad'".

All 6 of us pile into Sess black convertible jaguar with leather interior. Did I forget to mention that their dad is the richest man in the world? Their father knows my dilemma and helps all he can because he knows that there is no proof. He sends extra lunch money with his sons because he knows I don't get lunch money. He has taken on the position of my dad.

They all bring a little something for me to eat in the mornings because they know I never get any. God I love my friends. I really will miss talking to them everyday when I get away. I will still talk with them just not as much.

Once we reach school we go to out usual hang out: In the cherry Blossom grove. We all just sit in silence.

Sango finally asked what was on everyone's mind.

"Hey Kags, you sure your ok cause we can cover for ya so you can relax?"

"I'm fine plus I need the distraction even if it is, god forbid, math. I hate math what about you guys."

They all agreed that math sucked. It lightened the mood and let me get back to thinking about an escape plan.

I have enough money saved and clothes packed up at Sangos' so I guess I can leave whenever. I think the best time would be Friday. I can tell dad that im going to Sangos' for a sleepover that way he wont start looking for me right away. Yes that will work it has to. Now to make it to Friday.

"It will be Friday" I suddenly blurt out.

`Damn I didn't mean to say that so soon I wanted some time to work out details. Damn me and my stupid mouth.'

"What will be Friday" Rin asked.

"I'm leaving this Friday. If you guys will help me that is."

"Of course we will help you," Sesshomaru said "as long as you keep practicing using your swords, hand-to-hand fighting, and the other weapons we have taught you. You will of course bring said weapons with you to your cousins so you will be able to protect yourself when we cant."

"But Sess I don't think he would like me to bring all those weapons to his house and he wont think ill be able to use them because last time he saw me I was still the naïve little girl who was perpetually happy. That was before my mother died and my father started to beat me."

"You will bring them wench or we will have to just keep you at our house to protect you." Inuyasha added completely agreeing with his brother.

"Yeah Kagome you should bring them I heard that Sarisaki High is very dangerous there is this one punk who is very dangerous you should bring your weapons to protect you." Sango added she is the one to talk to about information on anything.

I smirked and asked "What's his name?"

They were all startled by the smirk.

"You wouldn't be thinking of taking him on would you Kag?" Miroku asked.

"Just answer the question."

"Yuske Urimeshi"

"I don't think I have to worry about him beating me up." I said with a knowing smirk.

"Kagome you should worry I heard he beats up ANYONE." Rin said with a slightly worried tone.

"I don't have to worry about him beating me up because he is my cousin."

I was met by stares from everyone.

"Kagome you never told me your cousins a spirit detective." Sesshomaru said with disappointment in his voice.

"He's a what?"

"He protects the ninginkai from demons who escapes from the Makai and because he is your cousin you will be targeted by the demons. I will have to have father formally adopt you by demon customs so the demons would not dare attack you. Is that all right if you were to formally become our sister." Sesshomaru asked.

I smile a bright smile at him "Of course it would be how about tomorrow after school. Is that ok?"

"Yeah everything should be ready by then wench. The ceremony gives us more reason to bug you about safety, who you are allowed to date, etc." Inuyasha said smirking.

I groaned "I'm doomed!"

"So wench back to the original conversation what's the escape plan Houdini?"

"I'll say I'm sleeping over at Sangos and one of you could drive me to Yuskes please." I added with puppy eyes.

"I will drive you so I can check out Urimeshi." Sesshomaru volunteered.

"So wench what will the rest of us do."

"Uhhhhh, I don't know what do you want to do?"

Everyone was silent then Rin spoke up surprising everyone.

"I can hack into the school computers and send your transcript to the school your cousin attends."

"You….what….schools…..computer hacking…..huh!" I stuttered out.

"You heard me. I learned how to do it about 2 yrs ago at my old school before I transferred myself here."

"You transferred yourself here?" Miroku asked.

"Yes my parents were rafting on the Nile at the time I think…."

"Wow I find that a handy skill." Miroku said while scooting closer to Rin trying to reach her butt. I watched in amusement waiting for the tell tale smack, scream, growl, threat combo.

*smack* "HENTAI!" "GRRRRRRRRRRR, hands OFF Monk if you know what's good for you."

Monk was the affectionate joking nickname for Miroku. He earned it because most of his male ancestors were perverted monks and he seemed to have gained the "condition".

"Thank you Rin that would be a big help. If you could try and put me in all of Yuskes classes that would be even better and thanks for doing that at risk to yourself."

"No problem. It would be great practice considering I haven't used those skills in a while. I'm glad I could use them to do some good."

*BBBBRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGG*

"We are late." Sango said.

"So and we care WHY?" Inu said while lying back on the ground.

"I suggest you start caring Mr. Taiyoukai considering you all have detention this afternoon. You 6 will clean up the art room. Have fun. Now get to class." Mr. Goshinki, the principle, said from behind us.

"Damn it Goshinki this is my first afternoon in a while that I haven't had detention cant you just let us off this once. Plus it wouldn't look good if you gave our golden child Miss. Higurashi a detention now would it, Mr. Goshinki." Inu said blackmailing the principle again. Well at least it always got us out of detention.

"Very well I think it could be excused this once but I won't let it happen again. Now get to class." Stated a very flustered principle.

"You got it. Let us be off now dear brother." Sess stated as cold as always. He's always cold around everyone but us and his Dad. So we all get up and trudge to class. What an interesting way to start the day.

Hey sorry it took so long to update its just I've been out of town for vacation and I just haven't been able to finish typing this chapter up. I finally finished typing it up I hope you all like it. While typing it up I just went and added some stuff that I didn't plan on but I hope it makes the story better and gives it a little more spice.
