Adoption Ceremony           &nbs p; Breakfast was awesome. We all just pigged out. There were pancakes, eggs, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches of all kinds. I’m so full I don’t think I could eat anything else. I had so much fun chatting with my friends, and pigging out. Ugggg, good times always end.             Time to go and see Mr. T and his physician. I hate doctors they creep me out. Oh well time to go find out how bad I really am.             As I enter the living room with Inu and Sess Mr. T stands up, rushes over, and ushers me into a seat.   “You just rest my doctor will be in in a second to look at you.”   “Ok. But Mr. T do I have to see a doctor. They creep me out.”   “Don’t worry this ones not a creepy doctor. Plus I will be right here. The only time you will be alone with her is when she is looking over your whole body and when she is bandaging your ribs.”   “She, the doctors a girl. Wow I’ve never had a female doctor before. Cool.”   *Ding Dong*   “She’s here. I’ll go get her you just stay here. Inu, Sess don’t let her leave the room.”   “Crap. If I try to run will you guys please let me go. Pretty pretty please?”   “No way Kag girl you need a doctor and we will make sure you stay and get checked we want you to get better.”   “I agree you can not go running off in your position.”   “Hey look I want to get better as well I just don’t think I need a doctor to do it.”   “Were back. Inuyasha, Sesshomaru please leave us. Go wait with the rest of your friends. I shall call you back in after the doctors done.”   “OK see ya Kag!” “Yes father. Goodbye Kagome.”             ; I finally looked at the doctor. According to Mr. T she is one of the best doctors in Makai. Her name is Yukina. She looks to be about my age but I know that when dealing with demons looks can be deceiving. She has ice blue hair and she’s wearing a blue kimono. She seems to be very friendly. I like her, I hope she likes me.   “Hi Kagome lets take a look at you. Mr. Taiyoukai is there a place we can go so that we can be alone?”   “Yes there is a room you can use just down the hall. Here, I’ll show you. Follow me.”             After Yukina and I enter the room Mr. T shuts the door behind us staying outside. Yukina asks me to strip down to my underwear and Bra. I go into the bathroom to strip. When I come back out I hear her gasp.   “Who could be so cruel. Don’t worry you will be as good as new in a jiffy. Come stand in the center of the room. As you know I’m  a demon. I will send my energy through you to find out all of your injuries. You will feel a warm tingly sensation going through you. Don’t be alarmed that’s just me so is that ok?”   “Uhhhhh yeah I guess so.”   “Right here we go hold still.”             As I stand still I feel a warm tingly sensation just like she said I would. It felt very warm and comfortable. I felt safe. It’s an odd feeling for me to get because I rarely feel safe around new people.   “*gasp* you have a broken wrist, 3 broken ribs, your shoulders dislocated, and you have been raped. There is also a number of cuts on your skin along with bruises all over your body. Grrrrrrrr if I knew who did this I would go and hurt him very badly.”   I couldn’t help it I had to laugh.   “This is no laughing matter.” She scolded me.   “I’m sorry I wasn’t laughing at my injuries I was laughing at your threat. You are not someone who hurts people are you?”   She blushed, “No I’m not. Was I that obvious?”   “Yes its just I don’t sense a mean bone in your body.”   “Your right I don’t like hurting people. In fact I don’t think I can unless I really have to.”   “That’s nice. I was like that once. Then I needed to learn how to fight and protect myself. A lot of good that did me though.”   “ There are some people who you just can’t protect yourself from. Those are the people who can do you the most good or the most harm.”   “Yeah that’s so true……It was my father who beat me and hurt me like that. He raped me.”   “Your father?”   “Yep, but don’t worry I’m not staying there much longer. I’m running away this Friday, with the help of my friends.”   “That’s good now let my bandage your broken bones and then you can leave.”             As she bandages my wounds I think about how my life could have been worse. I could not have the good friends that I do. Or the caring cousin to run to. Or my “dad” could know about Yusuke. My mom told me that she never told my “father” about her sister or her son because she knew he wouldn’t approve. Smart lady, but I highly doubt that she did it to give me an escape route. All I can say is I’m glad she did.             When Yukina’s done  I go into the bathroom to get dressed. When I come out Mr. T, Inu, and Sess are in the room and Yukina’s gone. It conclude that it is time to talk about the adoption ceremony.           &nb sp;   We are all assembled in the dojo. There is a temporary alter in the center of the room. Yukina’s behind the alter; she is acting as our Priestess. Mr. T, Inu, and Sess are standing up at the alter waiting for me. My friends are standing off to the side, they are just watching. I slowly walk up to the alter to begin the ceremony.             Once I reach the alter Yukina picks up a very fancy silver bowl with a crescent moon on it, which I was told was the symbol of the Taiyoukai house. She is speaking a language I don’t understand, but the thing is I don’t really need to know what she’s saying I just have to make sure I do the right thing at the right time. After a little while of chanting she pours some suspicious liquid into the bowl. It’s clear but for some reason I don’t think its water.             There’s some more chanting and then Mr. T holds his wrist over the bowl. Yukina picks up the ceremonial dagger and quickly makes a cut across his wrist. She lets some blood fall into the bowl before she puts her hand over his cut and heals it. This action is repeated by both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha just less blood. Next is my turn I hold my wrist over the bowl and let her drag the dagger down my wrist. It is just a brief pain, I’ve had worst. I watch as my blood flows into the bowl. Its strange how all the blood looks alike. Human and demon blood it’s all red there is no difference.             Yukina heals my cut and then uses both hands to raise the bowl above her head. She chants some more in the weird language and then hands the bowl to Mr. T. He gently takes the bowl from her and raises it to his lips. He drinks about ¼ of the liquid in the bowl. He then hands it to Sesshomaru who does the same thing then passes it to Inuyasha who does the same thing as well. Inuyasha then passes the bowl to me. I drink the rest of it. The blood doesn’t taste bad yet it doesn’t taste good.             I hand the bowl back to Yukina the says some more words and then places the bowl into a bucket of some weird liquid.             All of a sudden I feel really weird. I feel this burning sensation starting in my stomach a spreading to all of my limbs. It starts to hurt really bad. I collapse on the floor screaming. I distantly hear Mr. T and Yukina asking me what’s happening. I am suddenly surrounded by this bluish white light the pain increases slightly then I pass out from the pain.           &nb sp;   When I wake up I realize I’m not on the dojo floor where I collapsed. I’m on a really comfy bed. I just sit here for a while trying to get my bearings straight. As I sit in bed I try to remember what a voice told me after I past out. It told me something like I’m a miko and my miko powers reacted with the demon blood and made me a full demon with miko powers.             While I’m sitting thinking Mr. T comes in. I’m startled out of my thoughts when he speaks.   “Oh your awake how do you feel?”   “I feel fine actually why do you ask?”   “I’m asking you that because something went wrong with the ceremony. Instead of making you part demon it made you a full demon.”   “It did. That’s what the voice told me that happened.”   That quickly got his attention, “What voice?”   “I don’t know it was just this really gentle voice telling me that because I’m a miko my powers reacted with the demon blood and turned me into a full demon wit miko powers.”   “So you’re a full demon with miko powers?”   “That’s what the voice said.”   “WOW!, anyway everything else about the ritual worked. You are now officially apart of the family. You even have the crescent moon on your forehead marking you as such.”   “WOW! Thanks……. Dad.”   “There is a bathroom right through that door over there why don’t you go look at yourself while we prepare the dojo for some lessons in glamour’s.”   “Glamour’s?”   “ ;Yes, they conceal your demon features.”   “Oh, ok”             I went into the bathroom to get a look at my new features. When I looked in the mirror all I could think was WOW is that me. My hair grew a few inches the blue highlights became more prominent. I gained silver highlights in my hair and a pair of silver fox ears with black tips on the top of my head.  I gained fangs and two black tails with silver tips. I wonder why I am a cross of a dog and a fox demon.   I went in search of Mr. … I mean dad to find out.   “Oh that’s because your personality is that of a fox, a trickster, and because we are dog demons. So you gained characteristics of both. Now lets eat lunch then head out to the dojo to find out what powers you gained. Though some probably won’t show themselves until later we can go see what you have now and train you in them.”    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~   I crashed onto the sofa relaxing for a few minutes they were going to drop me off at my house soon. Urrrrg…. My muscles hurt. I’m sore all over I will never be able to walk again.   Well during the torture of this afternoon.. wait excuse me training I found that I can use the poison and acid like dad, I’m faster, stronger and apparently can turn into the animal form of the dog and fox. That was weird but I attribute it to my miko powers.  Also apparently I have to powers of the midnight kitsunes. I can control shadows and become one with them. That’s all we know for know because there are very few of them left and they don’t tell people their secrets.  I’m supposed to make time to come see them often. I will get in trouble if I don’t.   Yawn time to go back to my house. I can’t wait till Friday. Ah yes Friday the last day of my own personal hell. Hope I can make it till then.   Hey sorry it took so long I had most of it written but I still needed to finish it. Hope you like it. Oh yes only a few more chapters till I close out the polling.
