The Great Escape

Today's Friday the day of my escape. I gave Sango some of my favorite clothes over the week so that she has most of them and since my dad could care less if I had clothes at all he didn't notice. Inu had my weapons packed and at Sango's. We are skipping school today but they are still picking me up as normal now all I have to do is wait for them to show up.

*Ding Dong*

Didn't have to wait long. I make my way downstairs to see Sess in the parlor again waiting, but this time Rin's not with him.

“Hello Kagome ready to go?”

“Yep, bye `dad'.”

“By Kagome see you when you get home love you.”

*Snort* Sure you do.

I hop in the car and Inu is already waiting along with my suitcases and my weapons trunk.

“On to Yuskue's house we go!” I urged eager to leave this place forever.

We arrive at Yuskue's house about 1 p.m. I head up and ring the doorbell to see if someone's there. Apparently no one is so we go to Yuskue's, and soon to be my, school. We go into the office and sign me up for classes and have them call Yusuke down to the office.

Once he arrives he is stunned to see me in the office waiting for him. His mouth is hanging open hehehe its so funny to watch him sometimes. He finally manages to stutter out a word.

“Ka-Ka-Kagome?”

*Yuskue's POV*

I was sitting in class not paying attention as normal. I'm only here because Keiko made me come. I wonder when the toddler is going to call with a new mission things have been pretty boring around here for a while.

“Yuskue please report to the office immediately.”

Guess I spoke to soon I wonder what they want now. I haven't done anything wrong… lately. Wonder what it could be.

I stroll into the office and stop. I'm stunned it's my baby cousin Kagome I haven't seen her in a long time. There is something off about her though she feels like a ..a….a demon. What how can she be a demon and the guy next to her is a demon and a pretty powerful one at that.

“Ka-Ka-Kagome?” I stuttered out. God I stuttered.

*Kagome's POV*

“Yeah it's me Yuskue I was wondering if we could go and talk somewhere. Don't worry about school Sesshomaru, that's the guy standing next to me, got you excused for the rest of the day so do you know somewhere we can go and talk in private?”

God its so good to see him again I forgot how much I missed him.

“Uh yeah sure follow me.”

We walk out of the school and to a nearby park. We go down a path into some woods. After a while we come to a clearing with some benches in it. We all stood in an uncomfortable silence. Of course Inu is the first one to break it.

“So this is the infamous Urimeshi?”

Which led to Yusuke responding in kind…

“Yeah you got a problem with it youkai?”

“Ah… so you are a spirit detective then Yusuke?” I asked trying to make him confess first.

“Ummmm…… yeah. Hey! What are you doing with two youkai… and why do you feel youkai?”

“I guess we both have some explaining to do. But not now. Now we talk about why I'm here. Can I stay with you pleeeeeaaaasssseeee?”

“Why do you want to stay with me Kag? I mean you lived in a mansion and you want to give it up to live in an apartment with two other people?”

He asked the one question I can't answer. “I..I…I cant tell you please let me stay with you.”

“If you don't tell him I will, Kagome,” Sesshomaru butted in, “he has to be aware of the dangers.”

“Hey what danger? Are you in some kind of trouble Kagome.”

“I'm running from my dad.” I said so low that if he wasn't a hanyou he wouldn't have been able to hear me.

“Why”

“Sess or Inu one of you tell him I can't.”

“He beats her.” Inuyasha said for me. I waited for the inevitable shout of outrage.

“He WHAT!!!!”

Ah so reliable.

“Yeah so can I stay with you the danger would be that he could come looking for me.”

“Of course you can now answer my other question why are you with two youkai and a youkai yourself?”

“Well Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were my best friends…”

“Wait wait Kag were I thought we are your best friends.” Inu butted in.

“Let me continue, as I was saying they were my best friends but now they are my brothers.”

“Woah there Kag how can they be your brothers.”

“Their dad adopted me formally using a blood bonding adoption ceremony so I really am their little sister. That is why I also am a youkai instead of making me a hanyou like it was supposed to my miko powers mixed with the demon blood and made me a full demon. So they will be checking in from time to time.”

“Ok I understand just one question.”

“Yeah…”

“Who is their father because I have heard of that ritual and it takes a really powerful youkai to successfully do it let alone change a miko.”

“Our Father is Inutaisho Taiyoukai of the Western lands of Makai.”

“whoa, dude aren't you guys supposed to be in Makai then.”

“My father was born and started ruling before the barriers were in place therefore he retained the right to be in the ningenkai.”

“Oh ok sure she can stay with me and you guys are welcome to stop in and check on her whenever.”

“We would have without your permission anyway. There is only one thing do not force Kag on the missions if we find out she was forced to participate by your toddler boss we will be angry and take retribution. Oh and do not tell Koenma that we are in the ninginkai. Talk to you later detective.”

They left me with Yusuke.

“Come on Kag lets get you settled in and introduced to everyone. You will get along great with Keiko.”

“Who's Keiko?”

“She is my girlfriend.”

“You have a girlfriend I have to meet her come on.”

I dragged Yusuke home him complaining the whole time to let go.

Sorry it took so long I just didn't like it. I still don't think its good but hey whatever.
