Chapter 1: Kagome's Medicine!!!

Kagome and the gang were all walking on a dirt road on the side of a cliff. It was a lovely view. They had gotten over half of the jewel so far and Naraku and Kouga had the rest. They were tired, they ached, and they were hungry.

Kagome was in the back of the walking group next to Sango. Shippou rested on her shoulder and Kirara was on Sango's shoulder. They talked about boys and the shards. InuYasha and Miroku were up front and Miroku was talking to InuYasha about `Proper Approach of a Woman' It was an especially interesting conversation because InuYasha was listening. (Odd)

A rustle was heard in the bushes. InuYasha shut Miroku's mouth with his left hand and kept the other on the hilt of Tetsusaiga, he waited for the thing in the bushes to come out. But nothing came. The bushes and trees were crushed down but nothing was there. Then all the sudden a long deep voice out of no where called out. "Give me the Shards of the Shikon Jewel!!!" It was an invisible demon.

"No way in hell you are getting those jewel shards!!" InuYasha called out to nothing. He waited for a minute then he drew Tetsusaiga. He sniffed the air to find the scent of the demon. He couldn't find one. He kept sniffing when the same deep voice let out a chuckle. "You think you can sniff me out Halfling? I posses the ability to cover my scent and looks! I am invincible!" He let out another deep chuckle.

"Sango, Where is it?" Kagome leaned over to Sango to ask her question. She was afraid this demon could be a hard one to beat.

"I don't know. Do you see any shards?" Sango whispered so the demon wouldn't hear. Unfortunately it did.

"No. Maybe it really-"Kagome let out a small scream as she was lifted from the ground by what felt like two regular sized arms. "Hey! You're not a big demon!" Kagome squirmed to be let go from the demons hands. "Okay. You may not be a big demon but you sure are strong!" She focused on her Miko energy but non was coming to her.

"Miko, Kagome. Why do you squirm under my touch? Do you posses jewel shards? I can feel them! Give them to me!" He tugged on her necklace. She appeared to had grabbed his hand and was pushing it back.

"InuYasha do something!" Kagome yelled. Her Miko energy decided to kick in just at that moment.

InuYasha came charging with Tetsusaiga ready to kill. The demon was holding her necklace with the almost full Shikon No Tama, InuYasha leaped foreword to slice the demon. It dodged his attack and fell off the cliff dragging Kagome with him. A small scream escaped her mouth and then silence.

"KAGOME!!!" Everybody cried. They ran over to the spot of the fall and peered over the edge. Nothing but fog and mist could be seen. If you looked hard enough you could see shard rocks every here and there.

"She's gone! You killed her InuYasha!" Shippou cried for his mom-like figure.

"InuYasha….. Is she. Dead?" Miroku asked. He placed a concerned and worried look over his face.

"I, don't know Miroku. I really don't know." InuYasha screamed her name. All he got in return was his echo. "Kagome." InuYasha fell to his knees. He thought hard about what happened.(wow InuYasha thinking!)

Nothing came to mind that might say she is still alive.

Kagome let out a scream then darkness swallowed her. When she woke again she checked her surroundings. She was in a small room with a fire in the middle. She was resting on a mat and was feeling really sick. A sound came from the other side of the room.

She tried to get up. She just couldn't. Her head spun in circles and everything around her was blurry. She put her hand on her head and felt a bandage on it. "Hello?" She managed to open her eyes to find the person who helped her heal.

"Hey you're awake." A charming yet masculine voice said. She couldn't see the person responsible to hold such a comforting voice.

"I can't see you. Where are you? Where am I?" Kagome managed to sit up slowly. She looked around the small hut for a being. No one.

The voice came back. "I am Kokua. (a name I made up!) I am the invisible demon that wanted the Shikon Shards you have." Kagome's face turned from full of appreciation to full of alarm. She placed her hand on her neck to see if the Shikon was there is was.

"You!? You don't sound like that demon? Or is that just another one of you silly tricks? Why didn't you take the Shikon? It was right here!" Kagome didn't want to encourage the demon she just wanted to know what was going on.

"Why take the shards? I didn't really want them! You must be insane to think I would want such a small trinket when I had the choice of a beautiful young maiden." He sounded seductive and charming all at once.

I hope this isn't another Kouga! Kagome noted to herself. She tried to be polite. "Thank you. Umm…. If you do not mind me asking, could you show me your true form?" Kagome waited for an answer and got it.

He unsealed his invisible spell. He had dark long hair that reached to his ankles. He had on a long blue robe with a large hat on his head. He had markings like Sesshomaru's except the blue moon was a green star. He was about as tall as InuYasha and had a smile on his face. "Well, what do you think?" He spun around revealing a long lion's tail.

"You seem nice. You are a lion witch aren't you?" Kagome stood up and rubbed her head.

"Yes ma'am! I'm a warlock to be exact!" He smiled another heart-melting smile. He held out a cup of tea. "Here drink this. It should bring back the pain and help your wound heal." He handed her the cup and she drank it.

To her surprise it was sweet! Most teas here are bitter or not as good to swallow so fast. But it was sweet.

Kokua laughed. She didn't understand at first but then the drowsiness hit her. She was K.O. in 2 seconds. He lifted her sleeping figure and jumped out the door and up the same cliff as before.

"Miroku! InuYasha! Shippou! Over here!" The group had been searching for Kagome for hours. Sango found her lying next to a stream in woods that were at the bottom of the cliff. Sango shook her friend. "Wake up!" Kagome didn't get up. "Kagome wake up now!" Kagome's eyes snapped open, startling Sango.

"Sango? Where am I?" Kagome looked up and around.

"Kagome. Do you mean you don't remember? You fell down the cliff and we found you here an invisible demon took you." Sango looked at Kagome's confused eyes.

"I don't remember that. All I remember is falling into a stream and washing up on shore." Kagome got up and greeted InuYasha, Shippou, and Miroku who were coming in the stream's clearing. "Hey guys!"

"Kagome I thought you died! MOMMY!!!" Shippou latched onto her leg.

"It's okay. I'm here now, everything is okay." Kagome picked him up and pet his tail to calm him down.

"Kagome…" InuYasha pulled Kagome into a sudden embrace. "I thought you died!" he squeezed her a little harder. "Kagome I…." He was close to tears.

"InuYasha, I am here now. I am not dead and I am in one piece. I am okay." She gave him an assuring squeeze back and let go. Then Miroku hugged her.

"Oh lady Kagome!" Miroku hugged her real tight.

"Miroku you're touching me. You know the rules." Kagome was about to pull back when Miroku said.

"Wait Kagome. Kagome just let me gather myself the way I feel I need to." He buried his face in her neck and she let him.

He put his arms around her and she let him. He groped her behind and she pulled back. About a second later she was coughing really hard. She had a sharp pain in her stomach and she felt she was on her way to unconsciousness. She did the one thing any other person would do and threw herself at the cause of the problem, Miroku.

"Lady Kagome? What is wrong?" He stroked her back and she calmed immediately.

"I don't know." Kagome gripped her throat in a behavior to assure herself she isn't dead. "I started to feel like I was going to die. I t was awful." She cried. "Miroku you're touching me."

"I know. Lady Kagome maybe you should go sit with Sango for a while." Miroku was and wasn't surprised that Kagome got up really fast to go sit with Sango.

"Kagome are you okay?" Sango asked her friend.

Kagome looked at the forest floor. "For now." She looked up at Sango and gave her a warm smile.

"Come on!! We got shards to get!" InuYasha huffed.

"InuYasha incase you haven't noticed I have had a hard day today!" Kagome crossed her arms.

"Kagome we are leaving now and I say you are coming now weather you like it or not!" InuYasha repeated her moves.

"No."

"Kagome get off your ass and get some jewel shards." InuYasha pointed to out in the wood.

Kagome started to feel dizzy she got up and slowly walked to InuYasha. That sharp pain was coming back too. She coughed and held her stomach she left out of the clearing with her bow and arrows and left to get shards. They group followed.

She came to a large lake with a snake demon there. He was attacking a village near the lake and he had a shard in his tail. He whipped the huts down and smashed the people. Kagome took aim and shot in its tail. It wailed and screeched. It demolished and the shard was left in the middle, tainted a dark color. Kagome picked it up and purified it and connected it to one of the empty spots in the jewel.

Everybody was silent….
