Chapter 2: What's Going On?

Everybody stood there. Everybody was silent. Kagome couldn't believe what had just happened. InuYasha told her to do something and she listened without `sitting' him.

InuYasha was happy to get another shard of the Shikon, but Kagome was acting too weird for his own comfort. He broke the dead silence, "Kagome, what's going on? You listened to me?" InuYasha couldn't believe he was telling her that she listened, but, he either missed the part where she `sat' him, or she has changed somehow.

"InuYasha.... I don't know for sure. Maybe I hit my head on a rock or something." She really did think that it might have been a rock or something like that. She completely forgot about the warlock and his `Healthy Tea'.

Sango knew there was something wrong here. She noticed the different times Kagome listened to people ever since they found her on the bank of that stream. She was literally following orders. So she tried an experiment. "Kagome," She was afraid of the results. "Lay on the ground." Sango waited not a second. Kagome was on the ground lying there, without a complaint coming from her mouth. Sango tried again. "Kagome hug InuYasha." Kagome got up and attempted to hug the hanyou. He ran away and she chased him without anything on her face but confusion.

"Sango! Let me stop chasing InuYasha!" Kagome was tired and was hurting in her stomach from the quick running to catch up with InuYasha. To her own amazement she was really close to him.

"Oh! Kagome stop!" Sango yelled the order and Kagome stopped.

Miroku found out what was going on and was about to say something but Kagome beat him to his lecherous thoughts. "Miroku, I dare you to make an effort to ask that disgusting question during my time being. Don't see that I think twice about punching you for even thinking those distorted, perverted, and lecherous thoughts!" Kagome walked next to Sango and away from the monk.

Miroku put on an -I have no idea what you are talking about!- face. "Why Lady Kagome, that kind of impression you say you have upon me really hurts. I would only think of you as a friend." He smiled in a mischievous way.

"Right." Kagome said in a sarcastic tone of voice. She started to walk on with Shippou clinging to her shoulder in amazement, and confusion.

InuYasha decided to play this his own way. "Kagome I order that you take off this stupid rosary Keade put on me. Do not listen to Sango, Miroku or Shippou tell you no." He beamed with joy when she started to walk to him and pull his prayer beads over his head.

"InuYasha, please don't." She almost cried. She thought and figured if she did he would acknowledge her crying. So she cried.

"Kagome, stop crying! Just get over it and pull `em off!" He was serious as ever. Another smirk played across his face as she pulled the rest of them off. "That's better." He stretched in an ` IM FREE ' way. "Thanks Kagome." He smiled and laughed a little at her helplessness.

"InuYasha…" Kagome wanted to cry but she held back the tears that threatened to come down. She picked up her bag that Sango had dropped while watching that astonishing display.

Kagome stomped off and yelled, "I'm going to take a bath!" She didn't even wait for InuYasha to protest.

She came to a nice spring with an undersized waterfall and plenty of flowers and trees that covered the inside in a wall like manner. "Perfect." She sighed with a groan of relief and got undressed.

She slipped in the water and bathed. She spoke to herself. "So I guess this means that I have to listen to anybodies orders if they give them to me in particular." She sighed out of exasperation. "What do I do if some one tells me to kill something or to steal something or to do something really bad or sickening? Do I just let myself? I guess I have to if I end up dieing if I don't." She rested on a warm rock and thought more about her misfortune and how to overcome it.

A low soothing voice spoke to her just then. "I recommend you try making sure to keep quiet about it."

Kagome stiffened. That voice could only be so cold as to be her hanyou friend's brother, Sesshomaru. "Sesshomaru you letch I'm bathing! Go away!" She ducked under the water. To her surprise he came after her. She screamed under the water as he caught hold of her waist with his arm. He yanked her to the surface and held her unyielding. "I suggest that if you value your life that you stop you squirming." He said it bitterly. His warm breath reached her neck making her shiver in her exposed and cold figure.

He was about to leave when she spoke up, "Can you get my bag? It has my clothes in it." Kagome pointed to her black bag (I don't like yellow). He scooped it up with the same hand and jumped onto his funny cloud thingy with her by his side.

"InuYasha where is Kagome? She is taking way to long." Shippou had been complaining for the last hour now. But he was right, she never bathed this long.

"Hey Sango, go check on Kagome for us." InuYasha told Sango.

"Alright but don't think this means I am like Kagome and can just be bossed around by you all the time." Sango got up and started to walk in the same direction Kagome left. Sango knew Kagome was the kind of girl to go for the springs instead of the streams or lakes.

She came to the spring and searched everywhere for Kagome. She was gone. "INUYASHA!!!" Sango yelled out to InuYasha and the group so they could see what was up. She also knew InuYasha or Shippou could sniff out where she was.

InuYasha came rushing in with the others close behind. "What's up Sango?! Is Kagome Okay?!" He sniffed around.

"She's gone! Sniff her out!" Sango held tightly to Shippou out of fear for her sister figure to be taken twice in just one day.

InuYasha found Kagome's scent but it was also with another's, Sesshomaru. "Sesshomaru!" InuYasha yelled. He called out for his brother to come but only got the cricket's quiet chirp throughout the forest near the spring.

"Sesshomaru?" The rest said in unification.

"He took her, that bastard!" InuYasha punched a tree, successfully knocking it down. "We're going to my half brother's castle." He started to go west.

"InuYasha, do you mean Sesshomaru took Kagome? Do you think he knows about her curse?" Sango inwardly pleaded he say, no.

"I don't know. I only know he took her." He looked on and motioned for them to follow him west, to his brother's lands.

Kagome fidgeted under Sesshomaru's icy intent look. She was also nervous about floating on a cloud, she could fall through. She was getting aggravated by the silence and decided to speak. "Sesshomaru, have you taken me so I will get Tetsusaiga?" She looked down at her feet and then into his golden eyes. You could see that he held a blank expression but if you looked close enough, you saw his amusement and pleasure in seeing her in discomfort under his own watch.

"My plans for your usage is not of you business. You find out soon enough young Miko." Sesshomaru looked on into the distance and his castle came into view.

"You know, first off, it sort of is my business to know mister I'm so cold and scary. And second of all I am 18 and am not as young as you think. Third of all, I am not scared of you so you can just keep staring at my NAKED BODY!!!" She yelled the last part knowing it would hurt his sensitive ears.

"First off, this Sesshomaru is not interested in a human body." He looked down at her gruff appearance in amusement. "Second, I can smell the fear radiating off of you." He looked back down at her, now she was mad. He held the smirk that was begging for release. "Thirdly, your age was a very important part in this as was your Miko abilities. Thank you for explaining that you were older than I had expected you to be." Now she looked confused and angry.

"You know what?!" She crossed her arms around her chest and put on her `I am mean' face ." I am not afraid of you Fluffy! Also! I happen to be the prettiest girl you will ever see in your whole life. That is unless you like dead women like your stupid half brother!" She fumed madly; you could literally see the steam rising from her ears. Alright Kagome just calm down! She said to herself. InuYasha is probably off with Kikiyou now that his beads are off.

He watched her current mood change to emotional pain seconds later. What is she thinking about? He wondered silently. The prettiest huh? He watched as she turned her gaze to his home.

He let the cloud drop them off at a window to one of the guest bedrooms. Kagome gasped at the sight before her.

White fur was the floor of the lovely room. It had crimson walls with small designs as the border. Two large sliding doors were the entrance to both the room and the balcony.

A four-poster bed was in the middle with the same crimson sheets and pillows with a black fur bedspread. Long drapes of the same two colors covered the windows. A small golden chandelier with small crystals hanging off of it was in the middle and the little holes in it held scent filled candles of cinnamon, jasmine, and a hint of rain. There were just enough to put light to see the entire room during the early night.

A small dresser table was on the far left side of the room. A large mirror stood behind it as it reflected the dresser's front and the fur floor.

Kagome followed Sesshomaru into the room and almost fainted when he told her the new news. "This is your room. You will sleep and change here when told, Kagome." He sort of regretted saying her name but he wanted the spell to take its effect.

"This is my room?" She walk in a little further then turned to face him. Her eyes drooped a little and she felt like she was going to faint. She became weak in the knees to see him stare at her with so much emotion in his eyes. He held a small fire for her, one that seemed to make her want to fly to him and give him a big hug. But that would be a mistake. One considering his armor had `kills hugs and kisses' all over it, next, she was naked and if he did love her, who knows what kind of stuff could happen? Does Sesshomaru love me? If so, why? If not, why is he looking at me like that? She was so caught up in her own thoughts; she didn't notice him speaking to her. "What was that?" She turned slightly blush at her foolish antics by staring at the demon lord and not listening to him.

"I will not repeat myself again." He kept his inviting expression and continued. "I said that you are welcome to travel the castle and the gardens. Do not enter my room without knocking or asking me first. You will join me and the other lords that I have invited to dinner and do as I tell you Kagome." He added before he left the room and put back on a blank expression, "You have no choice…."

Kagome stared back at the sliding doors he departed from and she walked to her bag to find a clean uniform.

"But not saving her from this demon in the feudal era could mean disaster Yusuke! She is the most important being alive! She is the princess of the `Vixen Empire `!!!" Koenma shouted. He had a red face from explaining yelling at Yusuke the importance of this trip. The others were there watching and listening.

"She's a princess? Why didn't you just say so toddler?" Yusuke replied in a `duh!' kind of voice.

"I AM NOT A TODDLER!!!" Koenma sucked on his pacifier harder out of his own frustration with Yusuke. "Just do it Yusuke. Don't argue. Be more like Kurama or Hiei. Don't even talk unless it is a good question.

"Whatever." Yusuke waited for Botan to open a portal to the feudal era. (I really don't like Botan that much so I don't use her as much, sorry Botan fans!)

They jumped in and the portal closed.

When they got to the other time the first thing they heard was a loud yell which sounded a lot like `Hentai' but they decided not to push their thoughts. Yusuke made his way to the noise to see if they knew who Kagome was.

They came to a camp. A small fire was in the middle of the area. A woman attempted to hit a man with, she had with her what seemed to be a really big boomerang. A man with silver hair and dog ears was sleeping in a tree and a cat with two tails and a fox boy chased each other around the fire.

Had Kuwabara been with them he probably would have cuddled the cat in a flash. Lucky for them, his mom said he was grounded from going outside for 2 weeks until he could bring his grades up some more.

Yusuke stepped in the clearing and asked politely (wow!), "Do you kind people know a young woman by the name Kagome Higurashi?" Everybody in the camp grew large eyes at the name.

Kurama and Hiei could feel the tension building up in the people of the campsite.
