Chapter 3: Sesshomaru's Plan

Kagome got dressed into her uniform and walked to her bed. She stopped and looked at the black fur, she felt it. It was soft and bristly at the same time. It was well groomed and was shining its black color. She pulled a little of it back to feel the sheets. They were crimson and felt like silk, they were. It was much nicer than the sheets you could get in her time. She put the fur covering back over the sheets and walked over to the sliding door so she could go through the castle.

The halls were painted a white color with white drapes for the windows. They were long for halls. Probably to make it look bigger. Kagome thought. She saw many doors while she walked down the stairs. Where is Fluffy's room? She asked herself mentally.

Like as if right on time, a small servant, a rabbit demon, came around the corner. She had on a small red maid's dress with a little apron on. She held a very large dress in her little arms, much too large for her petite size. Kagome figured she would know where Fluffy was. "Excuse me," Kagome caught the servant's attention. "Do you know where Flu- Lord Sesshomaru is?" Kagome couldn't help but smile at the rabbit demons shyness.

"Yes ma'am. He is in the dinning room, waiting for you. In request of your presence, he asks you where this. "The little rabbit demon held up the dress.

Kagome nodded and slowly lifted the folded dress. "Thank you…" Kagome patiently waited for the girl to answer.

"Uh… Ba- Bayou ma'am." The rabbit demon bowed and left.

"Bayou, I'll be sure to give you a good report." Kagome whispered. Kagome walked back to her room. She closed the doors and walked to the bed to lay out the dress she was given.

It was long and silky. It, like most things in her room, was a crimson color also with black. It was silk, and the length probably went to her ankles. It was a spaghetti strap dress. Fluffy has good taste! I should let him shop for me! Kagome giggled at the thought. She looked at the designs on the dress. It had a crimson background with a large black spiral dragon circling the dress. It had two slits coming from the sides of the dress. Fluffy you lecher! She giggled again. She flipped it over.

The dress also had strings on the back and it went down to probably right above her butt. The strings were black and were made of the same silk.

She took the dress and went behind the changing shade. (Is that what they are called?) When she came back out she looked like an angel. No, seriously! She had wings! "AHHH!!!!" She screamed. Before she knew it knocking was heard on her door. "Come in!" She said in a panicky tone. Sesshomaru slid the door to the side to see what the problem was. He could have heard a scream that loud, a mile away. Demon ears; what would he do without them?

"Kagome, what is the problem?" He asked in his emotionless tone. Then he saw the problem, she had wings. Wings? I do not recall the woman having wings. Why does she now? He asked himself.

"I Have Wings!!!" Kagome was so stressed out that she never noticed Sesshomaru's hand covering her mouth to stop her yelling until he spoke.

"I can see that. Why must you yell it?" He was annoyed she had been yelling so much. If you have demon ears you can kind of tell. He removed his hand.

Kagome breathed really deep and said evenly, "Sorry Fluffy, I have never had this happen to me before is all." She fluttered her wings to stretch them out. It felt good to have wings, like an impulse or a natural thing to have them. "I feel like they belong on me." She thought out loud.

"Why must you call me Fluffy?" Sesshomaru was rather annoyed that she constantly called him that.

"I don't know it is more fun I guess. It makes you sound nicer." Kagome looked at him and smiled. He kept his cold look and turned his attention to her wings. She looked much more like a goddess than anything with them. Not that she didn't before, but she looks more like one now. Fluffy makes me seem nicer? I will have to be sure to tell her not to call me that. The attention he once had on her wings went to the dress he had made for her. It fit like a glove for her body. It showed all of her curves and her pale perfect skin. The colors also gave the impression that they were hers and only hers. Black and Crimson, those are your colors Kagome. He said to himself.

"Kagome, do not fear your wings." She stopped fiddling with the Shikon No Tama on her neck and looked at Sesshomaru. He remembered some other things he wanted to tell her. "Kagome, do not call me Fluffy. Kagome, you will join me and the other lords for dinner." When he said this Kagome's attention was pulled to that night.

"What do you have planned for me? How many lords are coming? How come all of my things are Crimson and Black? Why did you pick me up? And why did you pick me up while I was bathing? " He decided to answer the second question first and go on from there.

"Two lords will be coming. Your things are Crimson and Black because I think the colors fit you best. The reason I picked you up will be revealed tonight. Also you do not stink like most women. And I picked you up during your time of bathing because it was the only time you were alone." He said it quick and in an unhesitant fashion.

"Oh." She said quietly. "Are they women?" She brightened a little at the thought.

"No. That would be a lady. Lords are male." He said in an `I know everything' voice.

"Okay." She said with no enthusiasm at all.

This scared Sesshomaru a little bit and he became scared she was in pain. "Are you feeling alright." It was more a demand to know than a question of concern.

"Yeah, I just wanted to know when the lords will be here." Kagome looked up to him and he answered blandly.

"Around the next hour." He was about to leave when she spoke.

"Sesshomaru, did you choose me because of my….problem?" At that moment she really wished she could read his mind, and POOF! She could.

Why is she so caught up in why I chose her? Why such questions like that? And why is she so eager to know about my plans for tonight? She is smart for sure, but why is she pushing? Does she think I will tell her? Has she found out about my true feelings for her? Has she known how long I have been spying on her during her time of bathe? I will not ask, only wonder…. Kagome's eyes widened at his last few sentences.

"You…love me?" Kagome watched as his face went from cold to shocked then back to cold.

"Why would you think such a ridiculous thought?" He tried not to be choking in his words, but that is the way it came out.

"I don't think, I know." Kagome said in a singsong voice. She knows something he doesn't know! She knows something he doesn't know! Well, he sort of does considering it is his own thoughts. Well, he doesn't know she was peeking into his thoughts! There is a bonus! "I know Sesshomaru. I can read your thoughts." (I know what you readers did last summer!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! @. @ Just ignore me! I'm crazy!)

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow in question then he thought again with his skilled brain. "Kagome, I order you to not read my mind and to forget about the thoughts that you have read that were mine." He watched her expression of triumph go to regular.

"What'cha doin' Sessy?" Now he was angry, he rushed up to her face to face and he grabbed her hands with his one. He pushed her to a wall and breathed heavily down her neck, making her fear him and shuddering against him. He asked himself numerous questions.

Why have I become so mad so quickly? I have never lost so much control over myself in such a short period of time. What power does she have over me to be able to control my emotions? What is it? Who cares? After tonight, I will know if it controls the others as well. He never noticed that their faces were getting closer because of his own weight. She snapped him out of it with her soft voice.

"Sesshomaru, are you okay?" She had so much concern in her eyes. She never liked seeing people mad, only InuYasha. "Please don't be mad at me, I didn't know you would get mad at me calling you Sessy." He pushed a little harder on her hands at the mention of her actions. Like an instant replay every second. He really didn't like it when people called him anything but Sesshomaru or Lord Sesshomaru or My Lord. He didn't mind those. But Kagome had a way of shortening his name so he would get mad at her. "Sesshomaru, you're hurting me…" She had tears in her eyes. Not from her physical pain, but because he was scary when he was mad, really scary.

Sesshomaru, like InuYasha, didn't like seeing women die unless they were mean and stupid. "Kagome, forgive me." He forgot about the whole `curse' thing and she stared saying `I forgive you'. Well at least she forgives me. "Kagome, stop crying."

She stopped. "Sesshomaru my hands are cramping." She winced when he dropped his hands. No blood was there, not a mark, only the yellow that appears when you have sunburn and touch it. "Thank You." She said quietly. "I'm sorry I called you Sessy and not Sesshomaru….it won't happen again." She rubbed her wrists and the yellow was gone. "Are you okay?" She moved a piece of his hair from his face to see golden orbs looking into her soul. He didn't have that same fire, no, this one was different. It was… confused? Confused? About what? Kagome didn't realize she had kept her hand on his lock of silver hair and she turned her attention to it.

It was just like InuYasha's, just cleaner. It would shimmer when she curled or moved it. Sesshomaru was clearly amused that she held an attraction to his hair. "Woman, you are touching my hair." He said in a bored voice.

She pulled back her hand hastily. "Sorry, Sesshomaru." She smiled when he told her to wash her face and put on the jewelry on the dresser. He left with a lot to think about, like his two guests, Hiten and Manten. (HAHAHAH!!!! They came back to life! Poor Kagome!!!)

"How do you know Kagome!?" InuYasha jumped out of his tree and put a hand on the hilt of Tetsusaiga.

"We are friends of hers. I am her cousin, Yusuke." Yusuke said. Yeah, sure, he was lying but, Koenma said do anything to get to her. "These other people are Kagome and my friends." (Did I just say that right?)

InuYasha attempted to sniff Yusuke to see if her smelt like Kagome but Yusuke flicked his nose. "Ow!!! What the hell was that for!?" InuYasha rubbed his nose.

"I don't like it when people sniff me." Yusuke replied in an obvious tone of voice.

"I think you're Kagome's cousin. You sure act like her!" After that InuYasha muttered on about how Kagome always picks on him.

Sango had stopped chasing Miroku and invited them in. She was telling them about the well and Yusuke was going on like he already knew.

Kurama and Hiei were having their own small conversation.

::::: Very well ::::: Kurama listened more to Sango about what has recently happened to Kagome, as did Hiei.

"-napped by Sesshomaru, InuYasha's brother."

"Half brother!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Oh, sor-ry." Sango said in a sarcastic voice.

"Thanks. I'm sorry to be as so rude to ask but, may we camp with you for the night?" Yusuke asked nicely. Now the got it, Kagome is nice, if he is her `cousin' then he's got to be like her.

"Not a problem." Sango waited or InuYasha to protest but he didn't. Odd Sango thought, Oh well, works for me! Sango got up and walked over to Shippou to sleep with him on the ground.

Yusuke slept on the ground against a tree. Kurama slept the same way while Kuwabara slept in a little curled up ball on the forest floor. Hiei jumped to the top branch of the forest's tallest tree that was near the camp. There he wondered about the girl known as, Kagome.
