The final bell of the day rang and Kagome rushed out of her seventh period class. Math was never her strong point but was strongly asserted into her brain by her mother. She slowed her pace as she got closer to her locker and turned it into a slow trudge with a light skip. She had a small smile on her face and she swore on her father's grave that nothing could ruin this day. Of course she was wrong but, why ruin all of your own hopes and dreams? She was so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn't notice the person walking towards her. The collision sent her and her books to the floor.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sooo sorry! I didn't see you at all! Are you ok?" Kagome said pulling herself up off the floor and trying to collect her scattered books.

"Watch where you're going wench" A cold voice said and Kagome looked up to see a boy with jet black hair staring down at her. Kagome gasped and studied the cold face glaring down at her. She had to admit that he was quite handsome.

"Uh...I'm sorry. I was just wrapped up in my own little world" Kagome said sheepishly and bent down and picked up her books. The boy walked away without bothering to help but luckily Kurama, who had seen the whole thing, rushed over to assist her. After all the books and papers had been collected they both walked out of the school.

"Kurama...who was that boy who knocked me over?" Kagome asked curiously looking over at him. He visibly tensed but answered her question none the less.

 

"His name is Sniper...he's very dangerous so I suggest staying away from him" Kurama said with serious tone.

 

"Um...ok?" Kagome said rather confused.

The two continued walking away from the school for about an hour before they passed the spot they had been caught in the rain earlier that day. Kagome blushed and tried to rush passed it but Kurama stopped her.

 

"Are you in a rush to go home, Kagome?" Kurama asked lightly.

"Well...a little bit." Kagome said pulling her arm away from his loose grasp.

"Very well then. We'll just have to enjoy the clouds another time" Kurama said regaining his walking pace. Kagome sighed out of relief and followed after him.

"KAGOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!" Souta yelled into his older sisters ear. Kagome shot up suddenly and her eyes immediately went to the clock. To her shock she still have 3 hours before school started. Her face filled with anger as she shifted her heated gaze to her little brother.

"Uh...hehehe...I can expla..." but before he could finish his sentence his sister had him up against the fall chocking him.

"You little brat! How dare you wake up like that!!!" Kagome said holding her death grip.

"Wait...Kagome...a...dude...named...Sniper...called...this.. ..morning!" Souta said between strangles. Kagome suddenly stopped and Souta fell to the floor rubbing his sore throat. Kagome kneeled down to his level and glared at him.

"What did he say?" Kagome said strictly.

"To meet him behind the school at 5:45" Souta said desperately gasping for the air he had recently been deprived of. Kagome stood up and walked into her bathroom all the while pondering what it was Sniper wanted with her. She shook her head and continued getting ready for the school day.

Kagome silently stepped through the gates of the school and hurried to the back of the building. She leaned against the wall thanking the fates for getting her here on time. It was 5:40 and she still had 5 minutes before she was due.

'Hopefully he'll be late' Kagome thought to herself. She nearly screamed when someone leaned against her, pressing her into the brick wall in the process.

"I'm never late, but I can see that you were close to it." A deep voice tickled her ear. Kagome shivered and tried to keep the hard brick wall behind her from sticking into her back. To her relief he backed away from her but was still close non the less, at least not pressing her into the wall anymore. Kagome managed to gather up her courage and spoke.

"What do you want with me?" Kagome asked sternly, slightly pissed that she hadn't gotten her full nights sleep.

"You are Kagome Higurashi correct? The one who was banished from Sengoku Jedi by the priestess Midoriko?" Sniper asked staring straight into her eyes. Kagome shivered for the second time that night and responded.

"I was not banished. I was told that if I stayed there then great destruction and death would come of my presence. What's it to you anyhow?" Kagome said, more rudely than she meant to.

"You will watch your tongue with me wench, or I'll silence you myself" Sniper snapped back. Kagome gulped as he took a step forward. He ran a hand down her cheek, which to her surprise, his hand was rather soft.

"Yes...you do have to same skin as Midoriko, even I'll admit that." He said pulling his hand back and turned around to face courtyard.

"Are You after the Shikon No Tama?" Kagome asked shakily. Sniper let out a laugh that racked Kagome's body to the point where she almost fell to the ground.

"You silly girl, I would not waste myself with such childish things as one simple wish when I could have the real prize." He said turning ever so slightly to face her, yet keeping his gaze on the shimmering courtyard. The heavy rain from the morning before still rested lightly on the blades of grass, causing the light to bounce off of each one of then like a game of ping pong.

"And. what prize would that be?" Kagome asked becoming less tense knowing that he was not after the jewel.

"You" Sniper stated simply. With that he disappeared into the darkness of the moonlight, leaving Kagome to deal with her own shock and curiosity.

"Kagome? Kagome? Are you feeling ok?" Kurama asked waving his hand in front of her face. This was the fifth time he had to do this today but yet Kagome would always go off into a world of her own.

"Hm...? Oh...yes...I'm fine Kurama" Kagome said gathering up her books as the bell rang. The two walked out of the classroom toward the cafeteria chatting lightly. Both took their usual seats at a round table in the corner of the lunchroom and began a conversation about the teachers and such. To Kagome's surprise she found herself watching Sniper enter the cafeteria and take his seat with a group of other boys. She began to be infatuated with the way his hair and lips moved when in motion. He caught her gaze and she quickly looked away.

"Uh...Kagome? Maybe you should go see the nurse" Kurama suggested in a worried tone. He acted as if he hadn't notice Kagome staring at Sniper but in fact he had. He may be nice but he was no fool. He gritted his teeth and smiled.

"No, I'm fine. I just didn't get much sleep last night. That's all." Kagome said smiling warmly. Kurama nodded and focused on his lunch until the bell rang for them to go to their 6th period class.

" Kagome, would you mind walking with me to my next 6th period class? Its not that far from yours" Sniper asked kindly, Stepping in front of Kagome, completely blocking out Kurama.

“Um...sure...do you mind Kurama?" Kagome asked trying to look pass Sniper who generously moved to the side.

“Um...no of course not. Have fun" Kurama said waving behind his shoulder.

Sniper and Kagome began their 7 minute walk to their next class. As they got closer to Snipers class, Sniper did something that nearly gave Kagome a heart attack. He turned toward her...and smiled. For the first time a smiled was plastered across his cold, cruel face. Kagome smiled back and said goodbye. She actually thought Sniper liked her and went skipping down the hallway to her next class. As soon as she was out of sight and hearing range, Sniper dropped the smile and replaced it with his cold face and cruel looking eyes. A cold smirk slide its way across his right cheek.

"Perfect"
