Authors Notes~~ Thank you for all those that have stuck in with me so far. I really appreciate the three constant reviewers and beg others to review also! I would like to know who is reading this, what they think and how many return to read it! Anyway sorry it took so long to get this one out, things have been interesting around this house plus trying to retype it all to fix it.

Chapter 7;

Last Time:

As Hiei relaxed he took a step into the clearing only to pause with his foot still in the air. He wasn’t alone.

This Time:

-----With Sango and the Others----

Genkai rose after Kurama asked that question and excused herself for the night, heading into the house. They others turned after watching her go, back to Sango who had a haunted look in her eyes.

Sango could see in Kurama’s eyes if she didn’t answer him now he would ask later and continue digging till he got answers. She flinched slightly as the thought of bringing up the past, the past that hurt so damned badly for all three of them. Thier mother, thier grandparents, their father, thier families, all loved them but they were children of power, of a mating plan. Thought luckily Kagome and herself felt that last part less then Nozomi did. Sango knew there were things about herself that Nozomi was not willing to share with Kagome and her. Sango know there were things that Nozomi handled, that she was trained and raised for that they didn’t want to know, that they couldn’t handle. She still didn’t like to see the pain in Nozomi’s eyes that she tried to hide. The three shared an unnatural bond, Kagome and her can feel the pain but don’t know why Nozomi is hurting so. She had come upon Nozomi one night writhing on the forest floor. It had scared her and she was careful to never get caught but the nights it was worst, the new moons and the blood red moons, she would follow Nozomi and watched over her to make sure she was safe. She would hold Nozomi threw the worst when she wasn’t coherent but would be gone by morning when Nozomi cam back to. Nozomi had reasons she wanted to keep it secret and Sango trusted her.

Sango jerked her head back, slamming it into the back of the chair she sat in when a hand came up and waved in front of her. Rubbing the back of her head she glared at Yusuke who held his hands in a passive manner.

“OI! Sorry didn’t mean that! You just zoned out on us there and got this pained look in your eyes. What were you thinking about?” Yusuke asked his voice strained slightly with concern. They all looked a little concerned. This both bothered and thrilled Sango, they trusted and cared for them so soon, yet everyone they had ever loved had either died if they were not powerful enough to fight their enemies or they were taken away form them.

“She was thinking of our past, of the past that still hurts so damned much and Nozomi, of the pain she tries to hide from us.” Kagome’s soft whisper cut threw the air, causing Yukina, Botan, Jin and Yusuke to jump. They turned to face her when they had all calmed down. Kagome was staring at Sango and in turn Sango was staring at her.

“We may as well tell them what they need to know, they will be working with us. It will come up eventually and I would rather deal with it now then have an enemy use it in battle to distract us.” Sango’s voice was hushed and horse. They could tell that she didn’t want to talk about most of it. Kagome nodded and hung her head as she sat between Yusuke and Sango. She took a few deep breaths before looking up at them all with haunting eyes.

“You’ll forgive us for telling you only what you need to know. The more personal things are harder to deal with and unless we must share them we will not.” They all nodded in response but stayed silent afraid to break the spell that seemed to fall on to the group.

“It all began for me on my 15 birthday..” Kagome began in a detached voice.

----Back with Hiei----

Right there in front of him stood Nozomi, he was quick to notice she was a few inches shorter then him but still taller then Genkai, not by much thought. Her form was petit but well built muscular and lean. Hiei stared in disbelief as he watched her, the next thing he noted was that she no longer wore her collar, bracelets or mask and wondered absent mindedly who had taken them off for her. As he stared he watched her aura it was black one moment then there would be a burst of light and her aura would turn completely pure white blinding his eyes for a moment, before returning to pitch black. This caused Hiei to wonder what could change her aura like that. She began to sing and he listened closely to the words, the haunted look in her eyes gave away that she sang something that meant more then most would guess.

She sits in her corner

Singing her self to sleep

Wrapped in all of the promises

That no one seems to keep

She no longer cries to herself

No tears left to wash away

Just diaries of empty pages

Feelings gone astray

But she will sing

It didn’t take long for Hiei to notice the shift in her body. He watched with fascination as her body changed in front of his eyes. First to change was her back he could see threw the ribbed white tank top she wore where her wings began to break out of her skin and appear. They were black ebony with silver veins, freckles and outlines making it look like stars in the night sky.

Til everything burns

While everyone screams

The next thing to change was her ears, they pointed at the tips, narrowed and elongated so that the tips reached the top of her head. Her forehead soon shifted to reveal a demon marking that matched her sisters, only her’s was silver with a round Makai Bloodstone in the middle and on either side a round black diamond. The blue crescent moon that hung from the cornet marking on her sisters was there also for her. Only for Nozomi there was also a black sun, with black flare rays surrounding the sun a few millimeters away from it, which was almost eclipsing the moon. Hiei wondered what that stood for.

Walking through life unnoticed

Knowing that no one cares

Too consumed in thier masquerade

No one sees her there

And still she sings

He could see that a black phoenix marking appeared on her right upper arm. The phoenix was in flight and spiraling up her arm till it rested it’s head on her shoulder. On her left lower arm he could see writing. There were two different languages, each had three lines of writing. He could see that the first was in Ancient Youkai, the second was Ancient but he was not familiar with what type. The first he could read and what he read bothered him.

Til everything burns

While everyone screams

Thought Hiei did not know much about the other lands on this planet or other nations he know what the Warriors of Fianna and Daoine Sidhe were. Hiei watched as her skin took on a soft rose pink-lavender color.

Nozomi slowly twirled in a circle till she fell on to her back. Laying there on the grass she did not know that Hiei was watching her from the shadows. She wept silently as she lay there silver tears falling from her eyes and pooling on the ground around her head. She would not let anyone see her this way not even her sisters. They did not know what she went threw daily, they did not need to know the pain she carried. No one ever wondered why Kagome’s aura was so pure or that Sango’s was so neutral. why there was no stains on Kagome’s from just living or why it seemed like Sango had no stains but no purity. Her sisters did not question why she wore her bindings so often, they didn’t need to know that it was also partly to hide her aura form them. From anyone that would question why her’s was so dark, so stained yet she was still pure and untainted by it.

Slowly the tears stopped falling and she rolled to her side still unaware of Hiei in the shadows, she cringed and pulled herself into a ball as the pain passed form her aura changing from pure to dark again. She needed to get it under control if she wished to stay by her sister’s sides, especially Kagome’s. As the pain passed she rose to her knees pulling her wings back into her body.

Hiei sneered when she fell to the ground crying. He could never figure out why women were so emotional and hated to deal with it. He was about to turn and leave when Nozomi stopped crying and rose to her knees, pulling her wings back into her body. He watched and his eyes bleed red as she began to remove her clothing. He could feel his blood boil at the sight of her skin. He knew he was attracted to her and that he wanted her power for himself.

Nozomi rose from the ground after removing her shirt and black lace bra, slowly she made her way to the hot springs and once there began to remove her boot cut black leather pants and black lace thong underwear. Just as she moved to step into the hot springs she realized too late she was not alone.

Ryukotsusei~~ Thank you, they were subtle hints but I was sure some one would figure it out. Maybe the last chapter and this one will make help out. Ummm.....Next chapter should be good but will probably prove my being an ammeter at this.
