Disclaimer~~ I don’t own Inu Yasha nor YuYu Hakusho.
Authors notes~~ Okay forgive me for the absents! I’ve been struggling with what you could call morning sickness! I finally just sucked it up and called the doctor for pills so I’m not miserable anymore. I also wanted to take a break from the fic so I could come back to it fresh. I hope this chapter lives up to the expectations of all. Sorry to those who had wanted a HieiKag fic but it wont work out that way.

Chapter 9;
Last Time:
He wondered briefly why he had not marked her before allowing sleep to take hold of him.
This Time:
Kagome looked up at the stars as she told them her tale. She started at the beginning when she fell down the well on her 15 birthday, meeting Inu Yasha and breaking the Shikon no Tama. From there she weaved the tail of how each member joined the group and the battles they went threw together. When she paused each time refusing to tell of her feelings or the relationship that had started between her and Inu Yasha then crush, Sango would look away from Kagome to the stars. Kagome stopped shortly before the final battle and looked to Sango. She in turn told the others the making to the Shikon no Tama and the Taijiya. Once she finished Kagome turn her gaze to the stars once again. Never taking her eyes off of them.
“It was probably about two months before the final battle when I came home to find mother sitting in the dark weeping by herself. You see I wasn’t supposed to come home that day. Grandfather had taken Souta to a friends shrine for the weekend and Mother was alone. She was angry at first when she saw me, screaming and crying harder but soon she calmed down enough to tell me that this was the day our Father had to leave and had been separated from Mother. Grandfather soon showed up with Nozomi to visit Mother like he did every year on that day. I was able to see Nozomi for the first time in years and learned who my Mother’s Father really was. Once we had all settled down Mother told the tale of our families.” Kagome paused and a tear fell from her eye. Sango hugged her from behind and took a deep breath.
“Our Father was a weapon, for his people to use as they saw fit. A long and harsh what they had called a breeding program had been put in to place among their people to get my Father and his powers. Because he in a way was a Seer , he could walk outside of the time stream. One time well doing so he meet our mother. Against those who ruled him wished, Father stayed in mother’s time with her. Soon they had conceived the three of us. Upon finding out about it Father had a vision, it was sketchy and broken he couldn’t see it all. He only saw that Nozomi would be the next like him, I would be cursed with the jewel and had to go on a quest. He told mother that he had to return to his time the Feudal Era, that he would take with him Sango. He told her to raise me and take Nozomi to her Father. Once gone Mother mourned his loss for years raising me. Eventually she moved on as did he. They both remarried and that is how we ended up with Souta and Kohaku as our younger half brothers. When Father returned to the Feudal Era he knew that Sango would need to stay in Japan. So that she would be near for when I came. He gave his powers to conceal what Sango was, to cover their tracks. He didn’t want his people to find out where they were afraid they would interfere. He how ever was mistaken and did not see how he would die nor did he see how his last child would be used for evil in his vision. If he had he may well have never taken Sango to the past with him.
In this time Mother stayed with Grandma Genkai’s elder brother. Calling his Father and taking his last name. He in a chance to cover our tracks so Father’s people in this time would not find me and interfere again, gave all his holy power to cover what I was. All but my Miko powers were locked away. Nozomi stayed with Grandfather Sesshoumaru being trained in all her skills and powers. Soon Mother had come to the end and had paused long enough to look me in the eye. After a few minutes Grandfather had spoken. He told me when I returned to the past that Nozomi would follow soon after on the Winter Roads. She would retrieve Shippou and bring him back to our time. He told me that I was allowed to tell Sango the truth but that he wanted us to keep it from others still. He also made it clear that well Nozomi could take more to the future she could only take one trip back before the final battle. That she could not bring Miroku back for Sango because he was needed in the final battle. Sango and I would be pulled away by the Jewel to return to our time after the final battle. That Sango would have to leave Miroku behind. Shippou was only allowed to come to the future with us because of the Youkai adoption ritual he and I had done. Making him my son in blood just like heart.” Kagome paused and closed her mouth taking a deep breath. Sango shook her head still watching the stars, She continued for Kagome.
“Once she returned she spent much of the time trying to get the most out of all the time she was spending with the others and finding a chance to tell me the truth. When she had I refused to believe it. Eventually she proved it by showing me a piece of a necklace Father had left with all three of us. He had told me that it would lead me to my Kin, to my sisters. I had been confused what he had meant till Kagome showed her piece to me. After that I had tried to make to most of the time left with Miroku but we had much time left before the final battle when she ended up telling me.” Sango’s gaze drifted off into the distance as she continued the story.
“It wasn’t even a full month after Kagome and I had that talk that we meet Naraku in the final battle. Miroku and I did our best to cover Kagome well she used her arrows. Inu Yasha of course ran threw the whole battle like a maniac killing any of the lesser demons that he could. Finally after we began to slow down and so did the amount of lesser youkai, Sesshoumaru and Koga happened upon the battle. They quickly joined in. It didn‘t take long before we figured our that Naraku had removed the shard from our little brother Kohaku‘s back.” Sango sighed and glanced over at Kagome.
“In the end there was little fan fair and drama in Naraku’s death. He had not been paying attention to Kirara thinking her the least problem in the battle. She managed to get the chunk of the shikon from around his neck to me. AS she returned to me I released a Hamaya that destroyed his body. Inu Yasha quickly finished him off with Tetsusaiga. A few days later we agreed that it was time to put the Shikon no Tama back together. Right before I completed it Inu Yasha told me that he would not make a wish on it. He was going to return to hell with Kikyou. He felt that if he couldn’t keep his word then he had no honor. Once he left we put the Shikon no Tama together. I tore Sango and I from that era and threw us down the well to our time. We spent months recuperating from our physical and emotional wounds.” Kagome stated as she stood. Bowing lightly to the others she turned a blank look on her face and haunted eyes to the house. Slowly walking in side. Sango and the others watched her go before turning back to one and other.
Kurama cleared his throat lightly. Sango looked at him and nodded.
“How did Kagome come to contain all of the Shikon no Tama’s powers in her body?” He questioned and Sango smiled weakly.
“Her wish. She wished that the Shikon no Tama would no longer exist in it’s form, that the form it took would be in one were no one could corrupt it, were it could no longer cause pain and death. She didn’t care if it continued to haunt and burden her life, just so that it could not cause any more pain and suffering of others. The wish caused the Shikon no Tama to be come just that a Tama, the power was released into her body and she became the living Shikon.” Kurama nodded and Sango yawned followed by Yukina then Botan.
“Forgive us but it has been a long day and the events of this evening has opened wounds that were only recently closed.” They nodded and she stood, bowing and then walking to the house. Once gone Kurama turned to The others.
“They are not telling us everything.” Touya stated in a cool voice. Yukina shook her head.
“No they are not but what they did not tell you, you do not need to know. It is thier more personal moments and feelings they kept from you. Maybe in time they will let you all in.” Botan answered in a soft voice.
