Author notes~~ You‘ll have to forgive the absents. Like I said before previous to this chapter all the others had been prewritten so they were easy to continue to post on top of each other. I will try my best to update often but life gets in the way some times. I would like to let everyone know that I will not be writing any more Lemons. If some one else would like to do them for me that would be excepted. I will how ever keep the Hentai warning for future thoughts, gestures and hints.

Chapter 10:

Last Time: “No they are not but what they did not tell you, you do not need to know. It is thier more personal moments and feelings they kept from you. Maybe in time they will let you all in.” Botan answered in a soft voice.

This time:

Nozomi groaned as she rolled over the sunlight hit her face and she turned again. She didn’t want to get up yet she was sore and tired form last night. The grass tickled her nose and she lay still for a second before sitting up suddenly. Looking around she the clearing, she recognized it as the one from last night. She quickly looked down to see that she had been bathed and redressed but alone. Her heart dropped when she saw that Hiei was not in the clearing with her. She closed her eyes tight trying to keep from crying as she raised and shaking hand to each shoulder. Rubbing her hand along her collar bone she found no mate mark and a strangled cry fell from her lips. She fell back on to the grass, curling into a ball as silent sobs broke from her. Hiei had not marked her, only to leave her alone in the clearing the next day. He had bathed her and redressed her but that meant nothing if he did not mark her. Had he bathed her because he didn’t want any one to smell what they had done on her? Had he dressed her for fear that some one would come across her naked in the clearing and question what had happened? Why had he not marked her? Did he not wish to mate her?

Questions swirled in her mind as she tired to piece together what was going on. Despair took hold of her as she realized that he didn’t know they were mates even thought he hadn’t marked her. She doubted that he knew as a person that carried the blood of a Night Elf she was bound to the male she mated with first. Meaning there was no need for a marking like with Youkai. Was she going to be stuck mated to a male that didn’t want her as a mate? Was she forever bound to some one that would hate her for it, just because she allowed a powerful male to mate her, just because she gave into the attraction she had for a male? Had she been wrong about him being the one in the vision? As she cried harder she began to melt into the shadows not realizing that Hiei had not gone far and was on his way back to the clearing, to her.

Hiei could feel her shock, he searched the area for another presence with the Jagan but there were none near her. He was confused why he could feel her emotions and angered that he was still having to deal with this. Quickly making his way threw the forest back to her, he had not gone far. Needing to release some tension, there were only two ways that he did that, go to Makai and kill some lesser demons. Which he couldn’t do right now, Koenma didn’t want them to go there yet, especially alone. Or got for a run, he had chosen that choice. As he reached the clearing he found her laying curled in on herself weeping and slowly melting into the shadows.

Hiei lunged for her intent on pulling her back into the light and demand why he was feeling her emotions. He missed her by a millimeter as she slipped all the way into the shadow realm. It bothered him that he could feel her emotions but also that she held such a strong despair. He had no way to figure it out he’d never been in a relationship with a woman and had no idea what could have been bothering her.

Turning he began making his way to the main house where everyone had slept for the night. He hated asking for help but knew that he really didn’t want to deal with Koenma and the problem this would cause in the mission. It pissed him off to have to ask for help but that was what he would need to do. Moving quickly he headed to the back of the house and up onto the balcony of Kurama’s room. He could hear the sound of breathing from two people and smell that Baton was in there with Kurama. It had been a while since they had mated but they got little time together. Hiei knew it would be a few moments longer then normal before Kurama noticed his presence and a few more after that before he acknowledged he was there.

Hiei was right and he only had to wait, he had been there a few seconds before Kurama’s senses woke him telling him there was some one out side on the balcony. Kurama cracked a sleep covered gold eye open and glared over Botan’s head out to the balcony. He could see and smell it was Hiei out there and part of him wondered why the Forbidden child was out there so early when he knew Botan was in here with Kurama. He lay there for a few more minutes to see if Hiei would go away but Hiei didn’t move an inch from where he was seated. Groaning Kurama slowly pulled his arm out from under Botan’s head and unwrapped arms from around his waist. She grunted softly in annoyance to the temperature change, causing Kurama to smile down at her. He slide his pillow into her arms and after brushing a few strands of hair from her face, placed a kiss on her forehead he turned and walked outside.

Stepping out in the cold morning sun Kurama turned to Hiei. He allowed the small breeze to play with his hair and boxer shorts as he moved to one of the balcony chairs and sat.

“What can I do for you so early in the morning, Hiei?” Kurama raised an eyebrow, his voice betrayed that he was not amused at being bothered at this time, meaning it had better be a good reason.

Hiei watched Kurama for a few moments before turning to look at the rising sum.

“I need some advice, Fox.” Hiei ground out his tight posture and voice told Kurama he didn’t want to have to do that. Kurama nodded, he waited for Hiei to speak knowing that this was hard for Hiei’s pride. His wait paid off when Hiei began with out even looking at him.

“I mated Nozomi last night.” Kurama’s mouth dropped open and he cocked slightly. Hiei threw him a glare.

“I did not mark her and left this morning for a while.” Kurama opened his mouth barely giving Hiei a chance to finish that sentence.

“IS that a good idea, we don’t know these woman well, nor do you know what their families will do if you had marked her.” Hiei growled softly.

“She was a virgin Fox, I doubt they will like I took it with out marking her if she’d stayed on this long. Kurama nodded in agreement and looked off into the forest.

“What happened this morning?” He questioned he knew what ever it was Hiei needed help with had happened this morning.

“I felt her shock when she woke, no one was around so I returned to make sure she was safe. When I got there she was sobbing and melting into the shadows. I tried to stop her so I could find out what was wrong and why I was feeling her emotions but she slipped threw before I could grab her. The last emotion I felt from her was despair. I do not believe she knew I was there.” Kurama stared hard at the forest for a moment then looked back at Hiei. He knew that Hiei would be angered by having to deal with some one else's emotions and having to deal with an emotional woman. Kurama took a deep breath.

“Could she have been upset at what had happened last night or that you had not marked her?” Kurama paused as the balcony doors behind them shut. Both Hiei and Kurama turned to see Botan standing in front of the door in a short light pink silk robe. She was worrying the bow she had tied it shut with in her hands and a slight frown marred her face.

“Forgive me Hiei. I had not meant to hear that but I did. I’ve known Nozomi since we were children and I know why she was so upset.” Hiei narrowed his eyes at Botan but nodded his head. She sighed and moved forward sitting in the chair next to Kurama she gave him a wavy smile.

“You have to understand she’d had a hard life. She was separated from her sisters at birth and not allowed to see them till their quest was threw. She was trained at a young age to fight, to control the powers that she carried. Most seers do not begin walking the roads she does at such an early age as she did. She carries the most Elven blood out of the three of them, just like Sango carries the most youkai and Kagome carries the most human. Elves, especially Night Elves don’t mark thier mates like Youkai do. They have no need to when the women gives her virginity to a male her soul is bound to him. A similar affect to what happens when Youkai give a mating mark only this is forever, next lives or in the after life they stay together. I can only guess what she was feeling but most likely she believes she is bound and mated to a male that does not want to be mated to her, who will be pissed to find out he is and will be with her forever. She was raised to know that she must mate for power and most likely will not get the chance to mate for love but still she wont want a mate that hates her.” Botan paused and looked over at the two. Hiei was looking out at the sky and Kurama was frowning down at the ground.
