Author notes~~ So yey, I got like one whole review for last chapter and over 50 readers. *TAPS SCREEN* any one out there like to maybe stroke my ego and review more for this chapter please! Sorry it took so long to do this chapter. I‘m just trying to make it the best I can. I want it to be believable and a good read. (Which by the way is it still believable?) Plus stay in character as best I can. Chapt er : 11

Last Time: She was raised to know that she must mate for power and most likely will not get the chance to mate for love but still she wont want a mate that hates her.” Botan paused and looked over at the two. Hiei was looking out at the sky and Kurama was frowning down at the ground.

This time:

Hiei started out at the sky for a long time before Kurama broke the silence.

“Did you not intend to mark her Hiei?” Kurama cocked his head to the side, causing Hiei to look over at him.

“I had but did not. I was unsure as to why.” Botan stood and shrugged.

“It may have been that you felt the bond being formed and no longer felt the need to mark her.” Kurama supplied. Botan turned from walking to the door pausing in her steps.

“Either way you’ll have to wait for Nozomi to come to you. There’s no way to make her return to this plan, short of sending another shadow jumper in after her and I don’t know of any others. Don’t be surprised if she has very little to do with you. She’s not very forgiving.” Botan smiled warily well glancing over at Kurama.

“I’m going to hop in the shower. Sango, Jin and Hiei should being training together today with out Nozomi. I’ll get the other two.” With that she turned and walked into the room closing to door behind her. Kurama sat a few more moments with Hiei before he too turned and headed in doors. Leaving Hiei to sit alone on the railing of the balcony staring at the sky.

~~ With Nozomi ~~

Reaching out a pale hand dipping the tip of a long finger nail into the shadow window in front of her. Swirling it slowly she watched as Hiei, Kurama and Botan conversed then as Hiei sat for a long time alone. Shaking her head Nozomi turned to look in another shadow window her eyes narrowed at what she saw. In the shadows of the forest edge by the training ground stood a tall Youkai. His long red hair held in a high pony tail, falling to his waist. His fine bone structure and lean body spoke of hard training but his eyes were blank, there was no life in them, no light.

“A puppet, What is he here to do?” Nozomi whispered as she continued to watch the window.

~~~With The Others~~~

Kagome had risen early and after a quick shower moved to the Kitchen to begin making breakfast. Yukina joined her quickly and in a comfortable silence they began breakfast. It wasn’t long before Genkai joined them, smiling at the two Yukina served her tea. Soon after Sango came in sweaty and smiling. Kagome giggled lightly and shook her head well Yukina looked up and smiled.

“Have you been out training all ready Sango?” Yukina questioned as she served Sango some tea.

“Yey, Mornings are usually when I get in my trainings. Especially now with having to train with Hiei and Jin, it was better to get my personal training in first.” She frowned lightly and looked at Kagome.

“Have you seen Nozomi? She didn’t join me this morning?” Kagome’s movements stilled and her eyebrows wrinkled together. She turned frowning at Sango slightly.

“No I haven’t seen her since last night.” They all turned as the Kitchen door slid open and Souta walked in with a half a sleep Shippou trailing behind him.

“I took her bindings off last night before you can and told us it was safe. She looked up set and had said she needed some time alone. She asked to have her bindings removed and I figured she need to release some steam. I haven’t seen her since thought.” Souta shrugged as he took a seat by Genkai. Shippou sat down next to him and smiled brightly at everyone before his head dropped to the table and he started snoring again. Causing the others to have a small laugh.

Once everyone had calmed down Botan moved all the way into the room. Clearing her throat to get everyone’s attention she looked sheepishly at the ground.

“I know what happened to her last night.” Everyone turned to look at her. She looked nervous causing Genkai and Sango to raise an eyebrow at her and Kagome to look worried. Botan cleared her throat again and sat down by Sango. Placing her elbows on the table and her chin in her hands she sighed deeply.

“She had a run in with Hiei last night.” Genkai’s eyes narrowed. Sango and Kagome exchanged nervous glances before Sango turned to Botan.

“What kind of run in?” Botan smiled at Yukina as she was handed her tea.

“Well... How do I put this..... They sort of mated.” You could have heard a pin drop in the room as everyone stared at her. Souta’s eyes were huge, Shippou’s head had shot off the table, Kagome had plopped down into a chair, Genkai had closed her eyes and sighed, Yukina had blinked at her and frowned, well Sango had tensed up and looked ready to spill blood.

“And” Sango’s tense and tight voice cut threw the still air causing everyone to look back at Botan. Botan flinched and closed her eyes.

“It was willing, well as willing as Nozomi could get when she all ready knew that she wasn’t going to get a choice in who she mated or mate for love.” Botan waved her hand in the air. “The problem is that Hiei didn’t mark her. When she woke this morning she had receded into the Shadow realm before Hiei could stop her.” Kagome had covered her mouth with her hand after gasping and Yukina was now crying quietly the soft ticking noise of her tears hitting the floor was all that was heard. Finally Genkai looked up from her tea.

“You said he did not mark her? Had he intended to?” Botan nodded

“He came to Kurama and Balcony this morning. He had wanted to talk to Kurama about it. I think he was confused why he felt a bond when he had not marked her. I over heard them and told him everything I could. He said that he had intended to mark her but didn’t know why he hadn’t. I told him the only thing I could think of. That he had felt the bond all ready forming and felt no need for the marking but I think that left her thinking he didn’t want her as a mate.” Genkai nodded and sipped her tea.

“The only thing we can do is wait for her to reappear. I doubt it will be that long before she comes back. She had a job to do.” The others nodded and Yukina sniffled as she stopped crying. Shippou hopped down from his chair and began crawling around the floor collecting her tear gems for her.

“There is nothing we can do about this situation other then be there to support her and give her advice. This is between Hiei and Nozomi. I doubt Hiei realizes the trouble he is in for when she comes back. She will not be very accepting of him any time soon.” Sango said and Botan nodded.

“Thought if anyone can put up with, understand and deal with Hiei it’s probably Nozomi.” Botan agreed. Souta snickered and winked at Shippou who sat up and looked at him from the floor.

“Well if Hiei thinks he’s getting laid any time soon,” Shippou finished for him.

“He’s got another thing coming!” Shippou chirped happily. Causing Sango to groan, Genkai to roll her eyes, Botan and Yukina’s eyes got huge and Kagome’s eye brow started to twitch.

From across the room where Kagome was at the stove to wooden spoons sailed threw the air, narrowly missing Kurama and Jin’s noses as they walked in the kitchen and conceting with Shippou and Souta’s heads. Kurama and Jin stared in front of them for a few moments blinking before looking sideways at Souta and Shippou who were nursing bumps on their heads, all the women at the table laughing at them and then to Kagome who stood by the stove cooking like nothing had happened.

Kurama and Jin looked at each other before Jin just shrugged and walked over sitting down my Sango and winking at her. Sango groaned and scooted her chair closer to Botan who giggled then waved to Kurama as he sat down next to her.

Kagome turned and smiled at everyone as Yukina came back to the stove to help her finish breakfast as Yusuke and Touya walked in. Jin was about to say hi when Yusuke glanced over at Kagome’s turned back and held a finger up to his lips shushing everyone. With a mischievous grin he quietly crept over to Kagome. All the sudden pushing up against her back, smashing her in between the counter and his chest he leaned down and whispered in her ear. Earning an epping noise from Kagome.

“I can think of better thing to have for breakfast.” Before reaching around her and grabbing a sausage off the plate next to her and with a smug look on his face walked of to the table.

Kagome had been cooking and was about to turn and look at everyone when it grew really quiet before a very warm and hard body pressed her between it and the counter. Her face turned red as she felt a hot breath on her neck and some one whispering in her ear. She knew who it was as soon as they started talking and flushed more as she felt his body pressed farther against hers. Her eye brow started twitching when he grabbed a sausage off the plate and walked away.

Face still red she turned just in time to see the smug look on his face as he sat down at the table. Her eyebrow twitching in over drive she grabbed the last wooden spoon off the counter causing Yukina to giggle and threw it at his head. Hitting him smack in the middle of his forehead. Yusuke cried out and rubbed his forehead pouting. Causing everyone in the room who had been snickering to full out laugh.

Smiling triumphantly Kagome turned back to breakfast.

“Breakfast is ready!” She chirped happily, only causing everyone to laugh harder.

Anyway, thank you. Yey you wonder what’s going threw Hiei’s mind now. Just wait till Nozomi get back! *Rubs hands together evilly* Yey I’ve had some of those nights! Where I stay up way too late reading Fanfics! I really dread it in the morning cause those are usually the mornings my daughter gets up at the butt crack of morning. *Sigh* Oh well it’s worth it! Your like one of the few who has reviewed from the beginning and stayed with me this whole time. I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing readers or offended someone! I hope not! Till next time!
