Advancing

"They are only humans. This shouldn't be much of a challenge." Inyusha said with a smirk as he approached the three boys.

"Calm down, Inuyasha. We should try to settle this as peacefully as possible." Miruko stepped in front of the half dog demon.

"Get of the way monk. I'm going to teach this guys a lesson about stealing from clueless girls." Inuyasha replied.

"Hey, I'm not clueless, I'll have you know. I was just caught off guard." Kagome fired back.

"Yeah, whatever." Inuyasha muttered to Kagome before returning his attention back to the newcomers. "You, hand over the jewel."

"I'd be happy to return the jewel. It has already served it's purpose." Kurama drew closer to Inuyasha and extended the necklace. Inuyasha quickly snatched the jewel from him but stood baffled by what occurred.

"Okay, I'm confused." Kagome blinked her eyes a couple of times.

"Then what was the point in stealing the jewel if you are just going to give it back?" Sango took a step forward with one hand steady on her weapon.

"It was only needed for transporting us here. Now, if you will excuse us, we'll be leaving now."

"Hold up, Kurama. Shouldn't we ask if they have any information about Hiei?" Kuwabara inquired.

"I highly doubt they would know anything, Kuwabara," replied Kurama coolly.

"It won't hurt to ask." Yusuke butted in. The reincarnated fox spirit didn't speak. Winning the minor argument, Yusuke loudly spoke, "Yo, guy with the cat ears!' Inuyaha's ears twitched, showing his annoyance. 'I was wondering if have seen our friend, he is a guy that has a deep voice with red colored eyes ?"

"Could he be talking about Narako?" Shippo whispered to his teammates.

"Or if there been a sudden increase of fires or unexplainable amount destruction." Kuwabara added in which he received a cold glare from Kurama, quickly making him shut up.

"You guys must be working for Narako! Tell me why Narako would want to deal with the likes of you humans?" Inuyasha demanded.

"You are finally awake." Sesshomaru said in his monotone voice as Jaken rearranged the supplies on Ah-Un's back.

"Hn." Hiei groggily got to his feet.

"Put this on." Sesshomaru tossed a piece of fur to Hiei.

"I don't need it." Hiei retorted and threw it back at Sesshomaru.

"Ungrateful whelp." Jaken was beginning to go on his little rant until the dog demon spoke again.

"Suit yourself." Sesshomaru said as he grabbed the reins of the lizard youkai and started to head out.

"Wait, my lord, let me get on the back…" Jaken shrieked while he scampered to get on top of the beast with Rin.

"Quite down, Jaken. I'm trying to sleep." Grumbled the sleepy Rin.

The snow was blinding as Sesshomaru lead them outside. The snow crunch beneath them as they moved farther from the cave, soon they stopped when Sesshomaru noticed that Hiei ceased to follow.

"If you can't keep up. I suggest you ride with the others."

"Why should I follow you?" Hiei's eyes narrowed at him.

"You can do as you please but this mountain is filled with hazards and secret passage ways. If you remembered the way out…" Sesshomaru didn't have to continue as he saw the slight scowl on Hiei's face. Before the demon lord knew it, the half fire demon was a sizeable gap away from Ah-Un's side. Even though Hiei's memories were gone, his instincts still told him not to get to close and be cautious around them.

"What! Now?" Jaken was startled by Hiei's ability. 'It was pretty fast for a half breed if my assumption is correct about his heritage.' Sesshomaru was slightly impressed by Hiei's speed. The journey was quiet concerning Jaken and Rin were too cold to hold a conversation but Jaken still kept a low leveled whining. A few annoying whines by Jaken and a few sneezes from the girl had crushed Hiei's instincts as he moved closer to the group. Gradually, Hiei adjusted the temperature of his body to radiate around the group.

"Ah, it's getting warmer." Rin smiled. Sesshomaru adjust his head slight to see a Rin happy and Jaken unwinding out of the fur. Lord Sesshomaru was perplexed by the climate change until he witness the snow melting underneath Hiei's feet and close proximity he came.

"Where exactly are we headed?" Hiei spoke out of the blue after hours of silence.

"It's none of your business, where we are going, once we reach the base of the mountain!" Jaken fumed and rambled on. Sesshomaru fought back a frown as Jaken rudely spoke to his benefactor of heat.

Jaken stood up on the lizard beast back as he ready to deliver another sermon. "That is why…" Before Jaken could finish, the small toad faced creature was impaled by a snowball, the courtesy of Sesshomaru and no one was concerned when Jaken fell off of Ah-Un.

"We are going to the Aoi village. I'll stay there while Lord Sesshomaru and Jaken find information about a demon named Narako." Rin eagerly provided the information.

"You'll take care of Rin in my absence." Before Hiei could protest, Sesshomaru added. "If you do that, I'll see if I can acquire a Lunar Blossom. It will cure your anemia." Hiei didn't refuse the offer but only gave a small pout. A small smile tugged at Sesshomaru face as witness the small demon sulk but quickly dismissed it. The group processed onward with Jaken's screaming of "wait for me, my lord," echoing in the background.

"That is interesting. If you're telling me the truth, Yoshi." Narako spoke.

"I'm telling the truth. There are three worlds. The Makai, the Reikai, and the Nigenkai. Each is very value in it's own way. Why conquer one world when you can have three?"

"How do you suppose I get these worlds?"

"I… I…I can create a portal. All I needs a few minerals, metals, and a great power source like a tear gem."

"I never heard of a tear gem but if it's a jewel that you require than the Shikon Tama should provide enough power for you."
