Too Little, Too Damn Late
Ok...so I lied. I promised all you faithful reviewers and readers happiness, but my muse, my beta, and myself got great brainstorming ideas and as a result will temporarily delay the reunion of Kouga and Yasha. But please don't kill me just yet cuz they will DEFINITELY be back together at the end of and after this chappie.

Amazingly enough, Aoji drove the trio to the hospital downtown. He can drive a car, but he can't operate a toaster. Shishio sat in the back seat with Inuyasha, trying to console him. Inuyasha had a lost look on his face as Shishio stroked his raven locks.
"Ani, I know you would never cheat on Kouga-ani." He lifted Inuyasha's chin up and looked into his saddened eyes. "There's a cover-up for this, isn't there Ani? Please tell us so we can help."
Inuyasha knew he would have to explain the situation to his family sooner or later, just not under these circumstances. He looked into the rear-view mirror and saw Aoji giving him a sympathetic look. He sighed and turned back to Shishio and took in a breath. He began his explantion, watching Shishio nod when necessary, and Aoji hanging on his every word. He saw their eyes widen at the end of his story, and swore a pin could drop in the vehicle and it would sound like a cymbal.
"Oh...my..." Shishio growled in his throat. "THAT FUCKING BASTARD! How could he think so low of you?!"
"Shishio--"
"Don't even TRY to defend him! Did he give you time to explain? Of course not! He jumped to fucking conclusions!" Shishio placed his hands onto Inuyasha's shoulders, making him look at his angered crimson eyes. "This is NOT your fault! He should have listened to you! He even made Kurama so upset that he went into early labor! So don't you dare cut him any slack, because he sure as hell didn't."
Inuyasha let the words sink in, knowing Shishio was right. Kouga was being unreasonable to him, treated him as if Inuyasha was so unpredictable and weak minded, as to cheat on his husband not even a full six months of marriage. Neither of them acknowledged that they had been parked across the street from the hospital until Aoji turned to them from the driver's seat.
"You're right." He looked at the both of them, his eyes full of fire. "I shouldn't be sad..."

On the other side of the hospital building, Sesshoumaru and Kouga had already parked the car in the parking garage and already had the room number from the receptionist. They made their way to the elevator and watched the numbers increase, hearing screams as they got closer to their floor. Kouga gave a glance to Sesshoumaru, who did the same to Kouga. They both guessed why there was so much commotion.
The doors opened and they saw nurses and hospital staff scrambling, papers flying in each direction. Both males ran down the hall towards the room where Sora was held. They pinpointed the location of the screams, most of which came from the nurses, as they arrived. Sora was standing atop the bed, pillow in her hand, with a feral look on her face. They watched as she whacked a male nurse in the head, making him stumble and drop the syringe that was, no doubt, filled with "happy medicine."
"STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" Sora whacked a female nurse that tried to get her from behind, but Sora was ahead of her and sent her stumbling into a chair, safely landing in it. "WHERE'S SESSHOUMARU?! I THOUGHT YOU CALLED HIM!?"
Sesshoumaru stepped into the room quickly, before she did any more damage. "Sora, I'm right here." He looked up at his frightened wife, who immediately sank to her knees and cried into his chest, immediately being comforted by the amber eyed CEO. "Ssshhh...I know you were scared....it's okay...your safe...hush..." He kissed the top of her head and held her close. 'Thank the gods...'
"I was so scared, Maru! I thought we were going to lose our baby!" She looked up at him with glassy sky blue eyes. "I don't want to lose our baby!"
Kouga stepped closer to the couple, his face tired from his emotional bout with his husband. "Everything's okay now, chuma."
"Our child is fine, my sky. You're both okay. Now calm down and relax." Sora nodded and let her husband ease her into the bed, wiping her tears away. The nurses thanked whichever god they pray to for sending this man to their rescue and did damage control in the hospital room. They left the family alone after they finished.
Sora looked towards Kouga and noticed the tired look on his face. "What happened to you?" Kouga sighed at the question.
"Inuyasha and I had an argument." Sora's eyes widened.
"About what?!" Kouga looked off to the side, with a pained look on his face.
"He cheated on me. With Kurama."
"...come again? You mean Inuyasha, my younger brother, who would give up everything to be with you?" Sesshoumaru had a look of disbelief on his face. This was the first time he heard why Kouga and Inuyasha argued. Sora tried to hold back the urge not to burst into laughter.
"Apparently he wasn't willing to give up everything for me anymore. He lied about taking statistics! He isn't even scheduled for that class! He lied about Kurama tutoring him--" Both males looked to Sora, who could no longer hold back her laughter. "What the hell is so funny?!"
"You are, you ass!" Sora continued to laugh, wiping away tears of joy, calming down after a few moments. "Inuyasha would never cheat on you, chamu."
"Like you would know." Kouga glared at her, but blinked after seeing her features instantly turn serious.
"A hell of a lot more than you." They both gave her a curious look. She sighed. "You want the truth, here it is: Yes, Inuyasha lied to you, but for a very good reason, and when you hear it, you'll want to eat every cruel word you said to him."
Kouga prepared himself for the truth, and needless to say that, Sesshoumaru was also intrigued. 'What were you planning, little brother?'
"Inuyasha told me about how you and he wanted to have children, and without saying, you two aren't really equipped for that. So, Kurama told him about a special plant that can give him the ability to bear children. Kurama was tutoring Inuyasha, but not for the reason he told you, obviously. It was to coach him on what to do when he is pregnant, how he would feel, what to eat, etcetera. He wanted to surprise you, Kouga. And you just ruined it."
Kouga's eyes were watery, realizing the massively huge mistake he just made. "Oh Ara...what have I done...all those things I said...that I've done..." Looks at the couple. "I threw my wedding bands at him...oh gods..." He clenched his eyes shut. letting his tears cascade down his face, his hands fisting the sheets under him. "What have I done?"
"You belittled me, for one thing." Everyone in the room turned towards the door and saw an enraged Inuyasha standing there, along with a pissed off Shishio and Aoji. Inuyasha turned his gaze from Kouga to Sora, his features softening. "Sora nee-san." He quickly made his way over to her and hugged her tightly. "Gods, are you alright?" Shishio glared at Kouga as he went over to hug his sister. Aoji stood at the foot of the bed, arms crossed, never taking his eyes off his cousin. He knew Kouga was sorry for what he had done, but that doesn't excuse what he did to his husband.
"Yes, I'm fine now. Thanks to Hiei. I really must thank him." Sora placed her hand over her swollen abdomen, rubbing it affectionately.
"That's good to hear." Shishio stated. There was an awkward silence in the air until Kouga broke through it.
"I need to speak with you. In private--"
"You must be joking?!" Inuyasha cut him off, intense amber eyes narrowed.
"Inuyasha, plea--"
"You never showed me any consideration for my feelings, so it's best that I repay the favor!" No one had ever seen this side of Inuyasha, and thought it was best to just watch the drama unfold, intervening when necessary. Kouga looked at him with guilt, knowing he was right. He was unreasonable and jumped to conclusions. "You think so little of me! You actually think that I could cheat on you?!"
"I don't think that--"
"The hell you do!" Inuyasha's teeth were clenched, his fists in a tight ball of anger. "You didn't even give me the benefit of the doubt! You don't even know the whole story--"
"I do know, Inuyasha..." Inuyasha's face softened. He then looked to Sora, who had a slightly guilty look on her face. 'She's the only other person who knew besides Kurama, and I know he didn't say anything to Kouga...' He looked back at Kouga.
"You know?"
"Yes. I'm such a fool." Kouga stood in front of his husband, an apologetic look on his face. Inuyasha took an apprehensive step back, making Kouga raise an eyebrow. "Why are you backing away?"
"You hurt me, Kouga. How the hell am I supposed to know that this won't happen again?! How the hell am I supposed to know...that you can trust me?" His voice softened, looking at his husband in an attempt to make him understand his feelings.
Kouga looked at the space between them. He saw how it respresented the gap betweem them and wanted desperately to close it. "I'll work for it. I'll do whatever it takes to see you smile again. To see you smile at me...I miss that already..." Kouga let a tear slip down, wanting to hold his koishii in his arms. Inuyasha slowly stepped toward Kouga, his face stoic. Kouga closed his eyes, accepting any punishment from him.
Inuyasha reached into his pocket and brought out Kouga's wedding bands. He took Kouga's left hand and placed them back where they belonged. Kouga opened his eyes, expecting to feel pain, but felt something being slipped onto his finger. He looked down and saw that his rings were on his finger. He gave a confused look to Inuyasha, who gave him a small smirk. "Your ass is mine." He closed the gap and captured Kouga's lips in a fevered kiss, missing the taste, the touch of his husband.
Celestine stepped through the door and stopped, seeing the pair groping each other and lips meshed together, hands tangled in the other's hair. He looks over at the group confused, then shrugs and continues towards them.
